Could you guys do a session on how to make brushes that remove paint - Like scratching into opaque paint with a quill or absorbing pigment with a brush in watercolour? Would you modify an eraser…or make the hard edge watercolour brush more rigid/ less flow?

I would like to request that you do an oil portrait. Not a formal portrait but a more stylized portrait that has more of a collage look or realistic paint look. Hard to explain. But something with more depth of paint than much of what i generally see. I can almost always tell it is digital. I would like that to be more of a mystery question :-)Thanks! Robin

I just love these duo tutorials. I learn SO much. I do have a question though. I cannot find a slider to adjust the wet on wet look. If I’m not mistaken, the most common procreate brushes are wet on dry in that they over lap and the overlap shows. I’m looking for a brush that blends together on my second stroke. Is that possible?

Thank you. This video is fantastic. 💗💗💗 I’m halfway done but I want to ask if there is a way to make a mixer brush like the ones in Photoshop. The smudge brushes are nice but they don’t behave the way a mixer brush would.
This is such a good question! I don’t have a ton of experience with photoshop brushes, so I’m not as familiar with the mixer brush attributes or how they differ from procreate smudge brushes. What are some of the key differences in your experience? One thing you could look into is changing the blur amount setting (under Wet Mix settings in the brush studio). Blur as a brush attribute was added in v 5X and it definitely changes the behavior to be more smooth (and maybe more responsive?) - though I’m uncertain how much closer that is to PS mixer behavior.
Photoshop mixer brushes will blend colors like red and yellow and actually make orange. I did some experimenting and I found that the first watercolor brush Abbie had us make will blend colors well when used as a smudge brush. I was happily surprise to discover this. Thanks so much 💗

So, I just got procreate. I'm following along decently, with this video, but my brushes are all sort of rounded or blunt at the start.. there's no taper like hers... so they aren't turning out right... anyone that can explain how I fix this?
Under wrench, under pressure and smoothing , Try to modify your App pressure sensitivity arc by increasing the pitch slightly. In the 2nd square from the left and 2nd down. Put dot near bottom left.
Went way too fast in parts ..couldn't see ipad clearly..had to replay multiple times. Didnt say which tabs she was in all the time..ugh..😢 but i think i got about 1 brush from this video.
As much as I would love to finish the entire video, I don't think that would possible this week because my personal schedule is fully packed (I have school and work), but I would really love to know at what point in this video they start teaching us how to make a watercolor brush... This looks like such an interesting tutorial video but I do not have 52 minutes :(
Sorry for the late response! Start at 00:43 for the basic brush which you will then duplicate to create a watercolor brush. Then there is a second kind of watercolor brush directly after that - watch through around 18 minutes for it. The time stamps are all in the description if you want to jump around or come back to a certain part!

I just watched the tutorial and they just started with the brush you get when you hit the + to go into the brush studio.
I’m pretty sure it was just the default brush when you hit the + to make a new brush

How do you create a wash or wet brush that doesn't have any color to it for blending edges or feathering edges out

My pen pressure doesn’t work for some reason? The brush still stays the same size even when I max out all the pressure settings :(((
