Excellent review!! I have one too. Here's my quick take on it to answer your questions and add my observations.
The Sennheiser sounds better but I think it has just a bit too much bottom end. Easy to fix in post.
Sounds like when the ANR is supposed to be turning on it's actually turning off. I could hear a roar in the background when you were at your studio turning it on that wasn't there before. It was especially obvious with the construction equipment in the background. It got loud when you turned it on. Er, probably off. ;-)
I only got mine to connect to the app once and that was on my iPad. I have never got it to connect to any Android device. As of now, neither. No app connect, no access to EQ, ANR and other cool features it offers. That's a big deal in the product's usefulness.
For a just a little bit more I'd recommend the Shure VP83F.

The Sennheiser sounds better to me, it has a full sound. The JOBY sounds like it’s inside a tin can. The noise canceling does help cut out the wind noise, but the digger in the background is still pretty loud

Have to say the Sennheiser sounded better with a more full bodied sound. Like the noise cancelling on the Joby and also the safety track, having made the mistake of recording absurdly high levels in the past. Have to say I was listening to this on the TV with average quality speakers! That may not of been the best way to audition these mics.

Thanks Peter, yes some good points there. I think the Joby is better if you want to edit the sound of the microphone, but the Sennheiser sounds nice straight out of microphone.

Honestly after watching the example outdoors. I think Sennheiser sounds much better, it even sounds like there’s a bit of bass in the voice which gives it that studio podcast vibe.

Sennheiser sounded like it comes with a default audio profile with maybe bass boosted and/or compression in the DSP. Would have like to have heard the Joby EQ set equivalently..

Great review. Also love your colours and background.
