You are a good teacher God bless you for expanding my scope in accounting. Sir if you are working on a double entry cash book and you are to reconcile with the bank statement, how are you going to make use of the balance b/d of both the cash and bank column in your cash book. Also this cash book was drawn before the statement was retrieved from the bank and you are to update before reconciliation, while on the bank statement there is a balance c/d , which of the balance will be use for the updated cash book? Thanks.
Another point you are to deposit a certain amount let's say 100,000and you deposited 100500 how can it be reconcile. Money was to be deposited in the business account, and you are informed about it and is treated in the cash book as one of the banks transfer but you later realize is not deposited but in keeping of the treasure, what will be the reconciliation.
