I feel like this collection doesn't know what it wants to be. It's customer is very all over the place, much like the patterning and fabric choices. A symptom of casting the net too wide? I will say the accessories department came through. These are honestly the highlight of the show.
Yes, this collection was elegant. In terms of lines, it was probably one of the best-designed collections I've seen recently. I even spotted Matt Harnacke on the runway. But here is the problem: where is the "resort"? In Antarctica? At a funeral? I'm tired of seeing these dark, depressing colors in a Spring/Summer show. At least it wasn't as depressing as the Dior show in Marrakesh, which was a disaster in every way. The Armani show got better at the end when someone with some sense injected color into the collection. The contrast between the reds and the darker colors in many of the outfits was stunning. But please let's have a Spring/Summer resort wear collection look like Spring or Summer!
All the women's hats are just gorgeous! As always with Armani, the fabrics and the tailoring are flawless... the colours are lovely, but today's big baggy jackets and trousers are not at all flattering to anyone... even the anorexic models both men and women look fat... simply fat... so that is not a good look.
This is supposed to be high fashion?! I'm sorry but the men's clothes were a little nicer but there's no color. People are going to pay thousands of dollars for these clothes just so they can say It's Armani. You can have it! The best 2020 collection I've seen so far was Isabel Marant. Her clothes are fabulous not like this collection.

all major collections are just frighteningly out of step, insufferabl 80s - to much fabric- ponchos/capes....volumetric pant legs or cigarette stove pipes. in short - UGLY .
