Thats because instead of like how DirecTV never does these versions of EAS alerts, like how I used to own that company brand box and used to watch PBS as a kid, and constantly get the scrolling bars, Cox literally changes the channel into an non self accessible station wirelessly and automatically and back, it’s evident with the video bar saying 0:00 and 2:00:00.
Man i hate these alerts, just got one right now, the sound is scary, and even the screens for them are scary for some reason, the cox one is the most creepy
If you hate public safety, Good for you. Just letting you know that you’re completing about a life saving system. If you don’t like the tones, Big deal, It warns you about severe weather and other dangerous emergencies.
The Real MrNuke1000 I believe its channel 999 [EAS]. If you go to that channel when there's no alert, it just says "boot" or something like that. I don't remember exactly.
