White Water Rafting - Lower New River (West Virginia)

This is the highlight video footage from my helmet mounted GoPro on our white water rafting trip in West Virginia on May 16th, 2014. The New River Gorge is magnificent and beautiful. This was a beginner/intermediate section of the river, known as the Lower New River, as most of us had no rafting experience.
My favorite part of the video is at around the 29 minute mark when we get pounded by a massive wave over the bow. I included a slow motion clip made with the GoPro Editing Studio so you can get the full effect.
The rafting trip was booked through rivermen.com (Adventures on the Gorge) who I'd highly recommend and will definitely use again. Our guide Brian had 17 years experience as a guide and it showed. He was remarkable at steering the raft where we did and didn't want to be and his verbal instruction made me feel very comfortable for my first time white water rafting.
UPDATE: I learned recently that our awesome river guide seen in this video, Brian Jennings, passed away from complications of surgery only a couple months after this video was taken. RIP Brian, you were an amazing guide with great spirit!
