- Djole is a rhythm of the Temine people, from the region of Sierra Leone near the border of Guinea.
Traditionally, Djole is played on a squarish drum called the Sikko drum. According to @MamadyKeitadjembefola, it's the Temine people who brought the rhythm with the Sikko drum to Conakry and played there during one of the festivals. The people in Guinea really liked the rhythm, and adapted it to the djembe and dunun, and hence the Djole we have now.
