I was hoping to see how you hook the valve back up. I figured out how I broke my valve. I unhooked it OK and turned it vertical BUT I didn't push it in so I think I snagged it when trying to drop the bottom out. It was kind of a tickler to get out, very close quarters so you have to position it just right. The new valve is all the way in and I put a new relief valve on it. Hooking the valve back up, do you have to reach in from both sides to spread the fork? My TO does not have the aluminum retainer so when the fork is on, that's it. If you need to cool off, I'll try and send some -24C your way! last year was worse, we had one night that went -34C. Just a small drop of red was visible at the bottom of the thermometer. Tomorrow we start warming up a little.
Hi lance , I’m just re doing my draft link on my tea20 and the rear tin plate , felt and alloy main plate need replacing like yours , but sparex look to only sell the tin plate , where did you get the felt and main plate from for your rebuild ? Cheers mark Christchurch New Zealand
Lance mate , what thread has been cut on the threaded end of the draft control rod , the one going right through the big coil spring , please , as my old ferguson needs this recut & set properly , I can do it if I know the thread size . Good videos mate , keep going , all the best from the old country .
Hi Lance, I’ve been watching your videos with great interest and am currently repairing the hydraulics on a tea 20 Massey Ferguson. I’m needing a couple of parts: The draft link pivot bush and the draft control spring plate plus the washer that goes in between. Can you point me in the right direction as to where I can find these. Keep up the great videos, thanks, Jon G.
Hi Lance, thanks very much! Your video is a comforting confirmation for the lift cover job that I have just finished. But one thing: where do I get a good tin cover? Until now I have ordered 3 of them and none of them fit. They are allvery crappy quality. I bought them in France and the UK. Thanks!
I had trouble as well so I got mine from the USA, the triangle plate didnt work well either and in the USA they offer a flat one and that seems to be a good idea.
Really helpful videos Lance - cheers! One question: Did you say there was a washer as well as an O ring to fit with the replacement ford type piston in one of your previous videos? If so, where does the lift cylinder piston washer go? 😬
Glad to see these videos, it gives me a go to reference for my TEA20. Very interesting as always Lance. Cheers mate 👍🤠
Thanks 👍
Good video Lance, enjoyable viewing indeed.
Thanks Paul,
Great video Lance - very informative!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks Lance
No problem!
Thanks for all your videos, I struggle to get the control valve's T piece back into the fork, is there an easy way?
Not that I know of you just need to turn it get one end in and spread the bars for the other.

Hi Lance, with a lot of scrolling through sites I think I have found what I’m after.
Is there a O ring on the piston
Only on the piston I fit, originally they had 3 cast piston rings.

Front bolts fitted 1st with no binding on the rear, front 1st 55-60ft.lb rear the same. In the book serial no change, 268,153
The bigger bolts should have a higher torque to get the stretch to hold them tight. The manual didnt allow for the bigger bolts.
Lance, Have a gander in the book at the 330,044 serial change, special nut as in before....did you notice any difference between them?
yes the front was still for an 11/16" spanner but it had a 1/2" unf thread not the normal 7/16" unf.

PS Just found your video from 2017 and can see where the leather lift cylinder piston washer goes now - so no worries!
O ring to the oil washer away from the oil.
Looks like you are onto it.
