Just picked up one of these used with only 220 miles on it here in Alaska. I was a little worried i would be underwhelmed by the power. And sure, it could use a little pick me up on terrain you can open it up but as far as being on any sort of technical trail holy shit! Ill throw the usual mod people do, clutch weights and a tuner. But honestly, it isnt slow. You can just tell its got more to give. Got front and rear cameras on the way. The kawasaki brand cameras tying into the dash unit all plug and play makes me very happy. Any doubt I'd made the right choice vanished the first time i took it through some hilly trails through the woods.

That's rad to hear! They lack in power for certain riding conditions, but are amazing in others - like deep back country / wooded trails, rocky areas, and we guess Alaska riding. Rick and Jason were just out in Windrock, TN and saw a lot of KRX's on the trails.

Kawasaki has done a great job with this one. My uncle has a 2020 model and its doing everything well. I will crawl insnae rocks, climb ledges and go up any dune we encountered.
While not being as quick as his previous Mavrick turbo, it has plenty of power so Im not sure what others are on about. You dont need 200hp to go crazy on the track and if you really need, great, just buy an x3 and rip belts every week (like others I saw that slammed the gas and had them replaced more than everyone want or should).
Also, Kawasaki surely has a road map and seeing everything around with its competitors, so not long before a (not needed in my eyes) turbo edition will arrive.
That was a good review, pointing about what this vehicle is really good at.

Agreed 👍 where I live in Texas someone stomping all that 200hp all the way down are in for a rude surprise there's big offroading culture where we are so the use of stomping gas all the way only works 30% of the time

2018 called, it's dynamics !?! Are you gonna finally do a Turbo next year...then 2016 will call too.

Fair, although we did find Kawasaki's system to be a welcome improvement over what we've seen in the offerings from the other Japanese OE's. Polaris and Can-Am have had a couple years to run in the market so it's no surprise they're leading the pack (for now). We did speak to the Dynamix system in the original cut of the video, but cut it out to keep from losing focus on the KRX. And we get the humor, but all jokes aside a turbo would be a gamechanger for this SxS...(do it Kawasaki!)

@@UTVSource The only reason im busting chops is because I think the machine has an insane amount of potential. It is byfar the most robust built machine on the market. A Turbo/supercharger and 33's from the factory in 2021 should of been the standard. Unfortunately when the Pro R comes out this machine will just be an afterthought like the rest of the Japanese sxs.

@@5AO172 G Force is making a turbo kit that gets you 40 more HP but not meant to be a racing set up, just a better great prerational rig.

we have a couple of them in our group and yes, it is comfortable, capable and pretty reliable. What it is NOT is fast or even remotely quick. Severely underpowered on the trails in west va (compared to others in our group), so I cannot imagine how slow it is in Sand out West?? Rock crawling - sure thing..it does great! But it needs at least another 70-80HP...pipe and tuner isnt going to cut it..YMMV

Since dust is a factor in how close you can follow someone. Do you have long waits for the persons in KRXs? say over a minute?

I DONT NEED ATURBO WHERE I RIDE , YOU SHOULDNT BE GOING 60 MILES ON THE JEEP ROADS . THE KAWASAKI IS A GREAT RIDE JUST HAD TO PUT BETTER SPRINGS AND 35 INCH TIRES , WAY BETTER GROUND CLEARENCE .

Depends on where you ride. If you do dunes then yes. But any regular trail system it’s has enough power.

Kawasaki claims they went with the "KISS" method for this UTV, and we feel like they did a pretty dang good job of achieving that goal. What it lacks in any standout features it makes up for in strength, durability, and (hopefully) longevity. Overall it is a solid car and we can't wait to start throwing parts at it to make it even better!
