The second I go aggressive they lock onto my head before I can even pull my gun out.
You got a catch ‘em by surprise. Don’t unrettract your shield if monty if they will hear it. With blitz try to get up close in a 1v1. Don’t get into fights with multiple enemies, shields shine in 1v1s.
These would be such crazier clips if the enemies shot back

@@ordinaryguy6736I checked the people at 2:44. I think Kudos plays with his lower ranked friends which means he gets easier people. He of course doesn’t go against the people exactly his friends ranks (his friends are like silvers unless they are alt accounts) and the enemies ranks are usually around plat (all time best). I checked a few other people and they are either plat or champs with 0.6 KDs.
The only one exempt from what I just said is “truthh.” (Who he queues with). Who has been consistently champ ever since RP came out. Which means he probably isn’t a Ranked 1.0 champ but is definitely skilled enough to be ranked 2.0 champ.
3:41 there’s also people like this nearly every time I play a shield op. All they’re doing is screaming “I don’t know how to counter this so I will whine like a little baby”.
Monty's such a versatile operator. Biggest enemy is a well thrown C4😂😂😂😂

@sharkylol8691 nah Montange has emp grenades. just throw it at her and just melee twice. Kudos showed a clip of that in the video

@sharkylol8691 As a monty main, i agree.. especially when u guard break clash, it is too slow for you to aim and shot her legs. But since monty got impact emp, there's a way to counter her back (as long as u bring emp)

I am champ montie main by myself and I say with all seriousness: for some reason it feels like champs have every animation done faster like reloading, scoping, ADSing, punching etc.
Except of me of course, I don't so if I ADS I get insta killed.
And forgot to add that his opponents are clearly restarted. I mean what rank is it? Plat? I would say it's max emerald or something, no one is that ass oon champ

You wait for them to disengage with you and you equip laser sight to ads faster. Shoot people in the back and wait for them to look away to other teammates

As a new player that loves the shield OPs, when do I know to choose Blitz vs Monty? Also you should make a shield OP guide! Like how to play the game as a shield OP.
One big thing that’s making the shield meta sprout is the lesion nerf let’s not forget that😢
I tend to use Blitz or Fuze(rarely use his shield tho) for shield operators because they have more useful gadgets for me, cause Blitz can blind people and Fuze, well……. *blankly stares into the eyes of the 4 people I killed with a single Fuze charge* Lets just say people tend to lack situational awareness in casual.

new shields are perfectly balanced tbh, it's rare anyone uses shield ops to begin with, plus they counter roamers against defenders (which already have the advantage)
imo it's about time they added something new to siege to make it more like siege, Tom Clancy would be proud acog and shield meta is back
Name a good counter to Monty.
I think that Monty is the only overpowered shield operator. Blitz and fuze have counters, the biggest being that you can just suppress blitz before he gets too close. But Monty is too versatile in my opinion and extending completely negates just shooting his feet like you can with blitz and fuze.

@@dued161 I only really think lesion and clash really counter Monty, the rest are pretty soft counters except frost who only really works on window heavy maps or behind deployableshields.
With the impact grenade nerf will this change affect Zofia?

This was really good shield play but I'm ngl, I hate how much more lethal the shield rework made them when the main goal was to push them more into a support role. The much faster ADS plus melee "nerf" is kinda dumb imo
Like they changed melee to an Oryx dash/airjab effect so you'd have a chance to fight back. But the endlag on the melee is so low and, combined with the faster ADS speed, it's just an almost guaranteed kill every time they get the melee. Hell, Kudos even called the Vigil at 3:25 dead as soon as he hit the melee 💀

Yes ADS times were nerfed, but someone on the shield rework team definitely missed the memo
@@lizardhero shield ads went from 0.6 seconds from both walking & sprinting, to 0.5 when walking and 0.55 when sprinting. small buff sure, but nothing major. his fast ads comes from the finka his team brings in basically every clip. i'd say that's more the secret to his success
I like the R6 lore guy and he def a really good player but you gotta admit that if u were defending and there was an enemy shield op playing as good as you were, you couldn't do anything about it
and i don't really think that's balanced
it's pretty much running into their stomach and meleeing them and they're pretty much dead even if they're not *dead*
you "can" melee a shield op before they do but the timing is impossible with the input lag and your latency and all that networking lag so ur pretty much dead if one's rushing at u (even if u shoot at their shield to "suppress them")
the only real counter is C4 and not everyone has that

That's not how ranked 2.0 works.
His visual rank is bronze but his hidden MMR is champion
Hence why when a season starts, champions gain alot of MMR and hardly lose any. That's because visual and hidden MMR is different

its actually easier on console because on mouse your clicking index finger might throw off your aim a bit because of the pressure. That isn't a problem on controller because you're using the thumb to aim and the index or middle finger to shoot

I don't know why it took me till like a week or 2 into new season to relise that it takes 2 melees to kill using sheild unless its a bug

You definitely understand why people hate on shield ops, they’re annoying and change the pace of the game dramatically. It’s the same as why people think snipers are fun, they change the pace of the game to make it harder and it’s a flex. Shields are the opposite of a flex. That being said I’m buying Monty elite skin because it looks sick lol

Shields are not broken. They are bad ops and put you at a disadvantage for not having a real gun.
Monty is a great operator, but by no means is he broken.
