I LOVE the DHC-6 that and the BN2 islander are some of the best short field aircraft ever built. I even saw a Daher Kodiak, another amazing short field beast.
Absolutely superb landing! Thankyou for your post. Just making me quite envious, sat in the garden watching many more planes recently landing at Manchester Airport, when it's just over 20 years since I've flown now! Keep up the good work!🤗😊🌍🌎🌏✈🛩✈🛩
One wrong move, all of them into the sea at the far end of the runway! My goodness, what an airport, and the pilots and their machines. all put to their extremes. Of course its a plane spotters paradise!
Awesome.....I want to be there too....!!! Spectacular flight, with cool pilots...RESPECT! I love this) Many thx JP for your effort;)) Have a great week.....X Betsy.......
the landing from the bay side is not as difficult, as you get to set up a nice glide to the end of the runway, and have an uphill roll-out, gravity assist. The other way, over the cliffs, between the hills , is as touchy a landing as i have ever seen in over 50 years of being an ifr pilot. This defines short field landing, and the reversers on what i think is an otter are impressive in their speedy effectiveness. I would like to see this from the co-pilot side just to get the feeling of the difficulty that must be overcome each landing that way.
It’s a French island, officially Saint-Barthélemy, and in French is usually abbreviated to St-Barth. In English usage it’s St Barts or occasionally St Barths. No apostrophe needed!
Disappointing to see the "after landing" checklist called before the landing roll was complete on the first RW 28 landing. Poor procedures IMHO. They should really wait until the runway is vacated. Otherwise a great video
Not impressed with any of these landings or take offs. Touching down at the middle of the runway and far off of the center line. Lifting off feet before the end of the runway. Covering my eyes omg. Ok the turboprop did a good landing.

Incredible! Why is the pilot’s glasses ontop of his head though 😂

VERY NICE! :) They make landing on one of the worlds most diffucult runways look Easy Peasy!
Much better understanding of the airport runway, airport location and planes landing on St. Barth's than U-Tube channel of the same airport
*Love those Twin Otters.*

Nicely pressed uniforms will give confidence 👍

I love turbo props
2000 feet is a lot of runway for a good pilot, especially with that head wind!
Wow~ short field performance!!
It looks aircraft carrier take off & landing
Hello! I'm from the Philippines!! 🇵🇭
This is a perfect place to practice!! Wish I were doing it!👏👏🤣

My island❤
my first thought: she sounds like an Twin-Otter - and she is ;)
Please don't post an upcoming premiere so far in advance. By the time I can watch, it's in yesterday's feed. Forgotten!
that's what the reminder button is for
These things can stop pretty fast :D
And that gentlemen, is how we do that.
Wow. Those 1,000 foot makers come up quick when landing! Not much space between them.
Holy Shagaggins!
An otter it is👍👍👍
Which is this airlines ?
Microsoft nailed this on Xbox X series....looked and felt like I landed there myself...get 1
Why the "positive brake" call out when the aircraft have a fixed landing gear?
To stop wheels spinning and vibrating?
Muito bom show 🇧🇷
Hell guys it a happy day

I've never seen a Glide Slope covered in grass.
Pucker, Pucker, touchdown.
“Positive rate”
Me: gear up
Wait…
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it St. Bart's?

@@sirrathersplendid4825 The apostrophe was just autocorrect, but thanks for the info!
@@southernkansasrailfan1964 - First thing I do on any new device is switch off auto-correct. 🤫

👍👍👍
The venerable twin otter puts them all to shame.
10 + 180 =28
It's the Caribbean way, just relax and don't worry about the details.
Someone explain MAX RPM before landing to me, please.

So they used airplanes that has the speed of a lawn mower to show us how challenging it is 🙄.
You can try a 737 when the beach is on holiday just to make sure everyone is safe 😁
Just about scalped that motor scooter rider, wow!

Hey just planes. English is the universal language of aviation. Could you have translated the foreign conversations?
It’s a French island.
Balise d'approche .not ils
Just tired of French speaking pilots. Come on..show videos with English speaking pilots please. And- English is not my first language.
