@@djabouty47Unfortunately it was like that too with the swarm in Black Ops 2. If you happen to be too close to an enemy, you end up being collateral damage. Agree you shouldn't die though.
With how easy it is to shoot down the Chopper Gunner, there's no reason to pick it over the Gunship which is earned at the same threshold. Gunship always lasts the full 45 seconds, immune to bullets, and guarantees at least 10 kills if you're not targetting spawn protection enemies too often.
It also has a horrible missile instead of the goaty 105 that you have to guide yourself instead of just aiming a hole in a building, fire and focus you attention elsewhere.... But yes, it's better than the chopper gunner in most situations
@@dimitrisoikonomou3568 You can fire and forget with the LGB. You just aim where you want it to go and then switch to the next gun. Once you switch it will stop following your point of aim and continue on whatever trajectory you had it on when you switched. To not waste time that's how I usually use the LGB. I just point it where I want it to go, fire, and immediately switch to the next gun.
I also feel subtle things like the audio of the dude screaming “enemy AC130 above!!!”… added to the scare of the streak. We need little things like that back too.
Another thing is, some streaks are too clunky to use. For instance, placing the turret takes forever, especially in a fast paced game like MW3. Another example is the cruise missile, where it takes quite a while to call it in and it feels like steering a ship when controlling it. Compare to the predator missile or the hellstorm missile from previous CODs, where they are quick to call in and fluid. And don’t get me started on the Wheelson. That thing is horrible to handle…
Exactly! I shouldn't feel like I'm punished for getting a streak. I love using the turret but I get killed often placing it down. Just cause, like you said, it takes a lot of time just to place it. Additionally, the predator missile, which was a staple of the past, now seems like a headache to call in, as it takes a while, PLUS its steering is so horrible.
Also that streaks are moderately harder to earn in MW3 than last year's MW2. The higher TTK/TTD and the higher occurrence of 1v2s (winning first fight then immediately running into another full health enemy while you're at 1/4 or less) ensures you'll die more often before getting a higher streak. In MW2 '22 a bit of luck went a long way with the lower TTK
@@KrazeemSB2disagree, longer overall gunfights give enemies more of a chance to counter before they're both taken out. You can only target one of two, they only have to target one. The brief window of reaction time before you start getting shot is arguably the most important part of a 1 v 2. In a higher ttk scenario that reaction time is a smaller % of the overall time to kill when compared to lower ttk games.
@@matthewbrennan9758 let's assume the players are of equal skill, you are never going to out gun the both of them no matter the TTK. SBMM is what is stopping you from taking 1v2 not the ttk.
@@KrazeemSB2 if they are exact mirrors of me skill wise then sure yes 👍, but obviously in game we can accept that 1v2 s happen and I'm sure we've both won our fair share. And in that case where skill varies, the reaction time before getting on target is the most important factor. That time is essentialy constant between games. So reaction time becomes a smaller % of a total ttk when the ttk increases. So mathematically % of time reacting to enemy --> 0 when Overall ttk --> ♾️ Resulting in more 1v2s being won in lower ttk games.
I feel like a niche we've been missing for a while is the Attack Dogs type streak. I don't think we've really had one like it since the RAPS in BO3. It's kind of the one exception of the highest tier in that all the rest are all airborne, and just going inside counters them. With something like Dogs and a Swarm, you either force people to keep moving, even outside, or stay inside and fight off the dogs.
UAV + CUAV + Predator missile, the holy trinity of the "Ol' Reliables". With how bad SBMM is, no need to sweat for higher streaks that get shot down in 3 seconds.
The counter UAV in MWII/MWIII is probably too easy to shoot down even for a 4 kill streak. It's just this weird stationary coffee table looking like thing in the sky that you can shoot down even with SMGs, as much as I hate them being spammed it should probably function more like a regular plane or at least try to move around a little to dodge your fire.
I think its a mixture of streaks being too weak and them being too easy to take down. Additionally, cod hasnt seen any new streaks in a while so "streak fatigue" is starting to kick in as well
they could take something from a CoD clone "IRONSIGHT" that nerfed the scorestreak so people would focus on gunplay more by made scorestreak easily to get but easily to go the scores will countdown every seconds pass and won't reset after death so everyone could get the cool move but if you played well you would get it faster and timer count down for streak would reset after it reached 3rd streaks so player have a choice to choose low tier streaks to spam it or select higher tier that need more works to get it done, if player's not so great at the game they maybe call in a hellbird in the last 10 seconds so they should considered choose low tier that they could realistic get often in the game also their are so many tools that take down streaks faster that can occupied in primary weapons attachments, secondary weapons, tactical, lethals, perks that's make players thinks that should they take a tools to deals with others streaks or other players so they can get streaks of them own since streaks come often in this game that's quite important decisions
@@chin258456 countdown streaks is the worst thing to happen in cod, it made it cold war multiplayer painful to the core, thank god when ranked played came out at least the game was more suited for that. Otherwise i would not have played cw as much.
@@FCGLITCHES I think that's come to lacked more strategic choice to counter streaks in CW perhaps like many CW's streaks' are more handheld tools than a special summon which in IRONSIGHT they have things to counter streaks that could occupied a slots of Primary weapons attachments, secondary weapons, tactical, lethal, perks so streaks are more common but so does anti streaks tool also streaks countdown won't reset until player used all 3 streaks so if they keep it for better opportunities they will delayed their new streaks as well
I feel like the swarm is currently bugged. Sometimes it lasts for 30-45 seconds, while other times within 10-15 seconds all the drones blow out and the sky clears…
It’s not the streaks being weak. It’s them being too high and SBMM. Any decent player is gonna shoot streaks down. I played BO2 a few days ago and those streaks are easy to shoot down with non launchers too. Just not everyone shooting at them.
@@elg7365 That applies to every CoD if people actively try to shoot them down as they said. People have started shooting streaks more, you partially have Ace to thank for that on his guides, something which wasn't talked about as often. I always destroyed streaks in CoD because it works wonders. Even the highest streaks will die in 4 seconds if 6 players use a launcher or just shoot their gun at it.
On the flip side, the gunship and swarms are crazy strong in 10v10/12v12. I’ve had games where just one set of those alone grants me an additional 30-40 kills or more.
I just want to point out that even when streaks were at their strongest, they weren’t that hard to destroy. I remember back in BO2 I had a class with LSAT FMJ and the lock on launcher. Someone once called in a VTOL and it didn’t stay on the map for 15 seconds. Streaks should always be powerful because adapting to take them down has never been very difficult
I like the idea of disabling spawn protection as soon as you fire your gun, if you consider that you’re ready to deal damage, you should also be ready to receive it
Cold War's approach to Streak wasn't the best, but it felt better because of counter streak, it created a certain strategy to ensure your streak survive, and if they do, big snowball
Air Superiority kinda made CW’s “traditional” streaks a meme. Yeah, it added a metagame element to timing your streaks and using some as bait for air super. But everyone running air super at the same time + the ease with which it was earned turned that metagame into zero-sum Whack-a-Mole where most streaks were pretty worthless.
I'd argue it had the WORST approach. Why have the spy plane, the most fundamental streak of all time, on a lengthy cooldown? I rarely got more than one per match. Absolute horseshit system.
Hey @Ace I’ve gotten a few swarms on shipment and have noticed that after 6-8 kills in a few seconds, it stops killing completely, almost as if there’s a max allowable kill count for this streak. I would be interested to know whether this is true or not
I don’t have an issue with them being on the weaker side so much as I have an issue with them being boring or annoying. There’s not enough set and forget streaks (less annoying) and even animations on high end streaks like the gunship take 10 seconds until your actually raining down death, it’s silly game design.
Agreed, I'd like to see more "set and forget" streaks. I never change off from UAV/CUAV/Overwatch because those are the best ones that I can earn fairly consistently (I'm not good enough at the game for the AUAV/EMP to be worth me running) but having another mid-tier "set and forget" streak would be nice. Something like the Vulture from Ghosts/IW coming back would be fun.
Ty for this video ace fr. Attention needs to be given to the streaks get 2-3 vtols a game and they literally average less kills than the amount of times I call them in. Most are shot down in 10-15 secs before they even shoot a bullet.
I've been saying this since launch. They nerfed the vtol and chopper gunner from mwII to MwIII. The vtol was a 8 killstreak last game and the chopper gunner was a 10. Now the vtol is a 10 and the chopper gunner is a 12 in mwIII. U can't combine the chopper gunner and the ac130 anymore as well. Its so annoying that these cod devs cater way too much to the casual player when us die hard and skilled players get zero love.
Casuals don't want this either. This is the first COD I've played since Bo2, and I still feel like there's no purpose working towards kill streaks, and my dad, who is as casual as it comes got his first chopper gunner last night and was pissed, and just straight up closed the game when it was destroyed after 3 kills. This is trying to cater to players who are just straight up bad and want to be completely brain dead when they play.
The problem is SBMM, if you’re good enough to get a chopper the opposing team is probably good enough to recognize it needs to be taken down, I do it, my teams do it. Is it easier to take down yes, but overall it’s the environment imo
Streaks have just been an afterthought in these last couple of CODS and it’s something I am always frustrated about because of the simple fact that it was one of the THINGS that made Call of Duty what it is today. So how do you put such a pivotal element of your franchise to the side without having the thought process to evolve them into something different and potentially better? Realistically speaking, I think these streaks in MW3 might be even worse than the MW2 ones and those in turn were worse than the ones in MW2019. All this clunkiness, unnecessary animations, and just annoying elements make them feel like they were teleported through time from the original games to these ones without a single effort to streamline their usage (why does a sentry gun feel so hard to place down? Why does the prompt to use a controllable streak stay in the middle of the screen? Etc etc It’s just been put in the backburner, and everytime they try to evolve these systems they always fail to do it, so why not just do something more interesting and productive with them?
this is pretty much how I felt with the stealth bombers in every cod game that its in, always a high end killstreak to earn but you're lucky if you even get more than 2 kills with. Especially when the lower streak versions just do the job better so Hardly anyone ever uses it at all, so it's just sad cuz it's always been my favorite streak to use and It hardly ever feels rewarding to get it. Give it a bigger AOE or give it a 2nd direction to fly over, It can't just be a "meh" killstreak for what feels like a decade now.
Of course they are. They’ve been slowly nerfing good players in hopes casual players don’t get upset and therefore spend more money. -Streaks slowly nerfed every year via HP, duration, maps being indoor maps, longer spawn protection etc. -Aim assist strength increased every year, making aiming easier for the average player, thus lowering the skill gap -Dead silence not always being fully silent, not always on, etc -EOMM strength increasing every year, don’t need to explain more on this -Stims being worse, quickfix removed/nerfed, hurts better players in the end List goes on, you get it. Strong streaks = money lost
Top 3 CoD for me, along with BO2 and post-overhaul WW2. MW3 was MW2 with better maps and all of the broken, game-destroying bullshit like OMA/DC noobtubes fixed.
I always appreciate your thought process to all play styles. I’m a run and gun type of guy but at the end of the day the game shouldn’t just cater to what my play style is. And I appreciate how you always try to find a fair balance for all players across the board. And 99% of the time I agree and I think almost everyone should. Always the best takes on these topics. Truly
IMO its the playerbase fault for cod nerfing streaks. I notice the second an air streak is called in or a wheelson something that can get lots of kills, over half the enemy team leaves. Which ruins the lobby so i feel like cod devs noticed this and to try and prevent lobbies becoming empty they had to nerf the streaks
I think a simple fix would be to place a queue cooldown so if you leave a lobby, you can't search for a new one for 5 mins. In my book, if the enemy team worked their asses off to stomp you, then you deserve to receive that ass whooping. If you wanna cry and leave, you have to wait out the timer.
The worst part of people dipping out from Streak Spam is that I end up being pulled into that lobby. Dropping into a match in progress where we are down 150 *and* I’m getting drenched in VTOL and Choppers… ugh.
Besides the MGB and maybe Jug, nobody wants to use lethal killstreaks even if they can consistently achieve them. You get far more grind and challenges done with gun kills using (A)UAVs and other support tools. Except for one kind of player, Care package players. Care package is fun, relatively accessible, and the fact VTOLs and Choppers are so counter-able is probably to normalize the care packages so lucky players can't ruin the match for too long. That said Your opinions on spawn protection and the Swarms are 100% needed. Mid-teir streaks are more worth it. Sentry's, Guardians, Wheelson, Mortars, recon jug, SAE's, and the gunship killing Cruise Missile, are objective savers, area denial, and anti-snowball that facilitates more and easier gunplay for your team. and are just high enough to be available but inconsistent for most players. Killstreaks are fine, it's just most of them are doing a different job than before. In old CoDs before SBMM High-end streaks were powerful primarily to mercy kill a match a player was already overachieving in so everyone else could move on with their lives. That's why the MGB is always on you and why Specialist never came back. Thank you for reading. I hope this was insightful.
Activision Microsoft please pay this man. He does a lot of quality testing for your games, giving very valuable feedback and unlike just ranting about them. Thank you for the great work Ace
Ever since MW 2019 I have created an Anti Air class for every game. VTOLs and Chopper gunners go down real quick. That’s why my favorite kill streak to run was white phosphorus. Nothing the enemy team can shoot down. Also really funny to hear your casual teammates freak not knowing why the map just went cloudy.
I've had a dedicated anti-air class as far back as BO2, and I would also almost always run Zero in BO4 or the Air Patrol in BOCW to take down people's stuff. Now I have the Stormender on almost every class in this game as well and I love it.
Same. In MW3 I find myself running AUAV and EMP just for the fact that the enemy team can't easily counter them. For EMP there's nothing they can do, and for AUAV all they can do is call in a CUAV, which I'll shoot down instantly, or they can try their luck hitting the AUAV with a cruise missile, which I've never seen anyone do in an actual public lobby. I suppose technically they could also counter it with an EMP, but if I have an AUAV up, it's unlikely anyone on the other team is doing well enough to have a 13 kill streak.
Killstreaks ruins the the experience. Most players camp in there “safe spots” and just get the streaks that way so its not really skill. Also there just annoying, like in MW2019 Im on SnD, stealthy moving in the map at my own pace and the enemy team calls in a UAV and and a tank to go around killing people. I like to see anyone defend this system down below.
Can you please cover the AC130. I use this over the Gunner Chopper due to the vulnerability of the chopper. I don’t see many using the AC130, but are there any good counters, other than launchers and perks? I really wish there were some general spawn protection (or the old unpopular Juiced death streak), I played a batch of games where I was just getting spawn killed a huge amount. Ligit getting spawned in front of someone already firing. You are so right, the spawns are almost broken currently. I flanked a player, shot them from the side, they spawned directly behind me, like a short teleportation and lasered me. This was on Hardcore.
Gunship has always been my last streak pick. But this year I can barely get it once a day I almost feel like it’s wasted because I never streak that high
@@Gen10civic I mostly play on Kill Confirmed, for the weapon XP. And I use the Mission Control Comlink, Killstreak cost -1. I got the Gunship 3 times in one game, the other team were pissed and couldn’t leave their spawn. I felt guilty, but I didn’t stop. Then was punished with some solid SBMM.
Noticed it in the beta, that this sentry is crazy powerful lol. Always running that thing. Put it in a great spot and it'll rack up kills for you easy.
I'm MW2 2009 i got my high by denying players their streaks. If they called in stuff I didn't hesitate to kill myself respawn with my aa class and welcome their streak with a FGM 92 shapped package. You want that nuke better get it with your gun not your chopper gunner when I'm in the lobby. I also miss the days of launchers being the best means of shooting down streaks. I cringe when i see a chopper or ac130 shrug off direct hits from a FGM 148 javelin. An ATGM designed to destroy MBTs.
That was a great video and I agree with your suggestions. I would also like to see watered down versions of the high end kill streaks in the care packages. I think it's unfair that someone who gets a few kills should enjoy the same benefits as someone who has really had to work to earn it. So maybe instead of 45 seconds, the care package version should last 25-30 seconds.
I play CoD for the gunfights, and I only see earning streaks as a small bonus on top of that and not a main source of my enjoyment, so I prefer when streaks are more manageable and less powerful like in this game. That being said, I do agree that the higher end streaks like the Chopper Gunner and Swarm are TOO weak for how much they cost to earn in this game. Don't make them as insane as their past MW2/BO2 counterparts, but definitely give them a bit more power and survivability.
XclusiveAce still has that old man, "get off my lawn" energy. If the killstreaks are too strong and easily obtainable it skews the incentive away from playing the objective if the win con is streak spam that forces a forfeit.
100% agree. Cod 4 and OG MW2 player here, and streaks are why I play the game. The higher streaks are now harder to earn and less effective. I miss the days when streaks were more attainable, powerful, and could earn you the next streak as well.
Given that most people don't bother to shoot down streaks and the gunship in basically untouchable by guns, I am pleased with being able to remove streaks by myself in a quick and efficient manner with a DEDICATED class.
@@elg7365 I use the strobe perk, so apart from really attentive chopper gunners, spawn protection wouldn't do jack. Plus suppressors hide your muzzle flash, making it even harder to be seen. And just because something is "too easy" doesn't mean it isn't efficient.
0:45 "high end streaks" for the losing team was attempted in Battlefield 1 with the behemoths system and it didn't change the tide of battle many times. So the high end stuff to me is a double edged sword.
Cod use to be going crazy on streaks, I remember in black ops 2 having to find the guy on top of the enemy team just so they wouldn’t get streaks and win the game with that shit lol, it was a oh shit moment when that dude that has been killing everyone for the last 500 years finally gets a 20/30 kill streak and Thanos snaps your team lol
Streaks arent fun when they are weak. The sole reason i play cod is for streaks. There are games with better gunplay elsewhere. Cod is unique becasue your streaks give you a momentum a exciting reward for doing well. 1. Sbmm requires alot of effort to attain streaks to begin with. Gaining a high end streak in this game is more difficult then it has ever been because of the matchmaking. They should be powerful and feel rewarding. 2. Spawn protection should be cut in half to 2 seconds. But i do think the red box should not light up for 4 seconds. This gives people in streaks the ability to read the map and potential to get more kills but it increases the skill to do so. 3. I also fully agree shooting streaks down is far to easy in this game. I dont even use chopper gunner anymore because i have never been able to keep one in the air. Bullet damage needs a reduction and there should be a cost for shoot a streak. Ai streaks maybe it draws agro. Player controlled streaks maybe a exclamation point apears over the players red box. A faded one over coldblooded players. 4. I think the swarm is weak but the mosquito is op. For a 4 killstreak it should have a counter with blast shield as well. I should not need to run ir strobe for a 4 killstreak. That is unreasonable in my opinion. It should have multiple counters being among the lowest to earn streaks in the game. I would also like the wheelson the have a auto pilot mode. Let it cruise the map like the old school agr and do its thing I think things like the chopper gunner ac 130 and swarm should have splash damage agsinst building hiders. There should be a way to dislodge campers waiting your streak out. Less hitmarkers more kia's = more fun.
perfectly said. Mw2/BO2/BO3 are the height of the series in terms of gameplay, streaks, risk to reward for your skill and overall fun. Merge them all together into one game while just slighting updating the maps/balance and it would be the best CoD.
Well, this is the first time I don't run offense streaks. I run a support build, so I really don't care for streaks anymore. I wish they brought specialist back. Ram that and only that in mw
the most underated streak is the wheelson if you can aim, its hilarious that you can sit in their spawn running people over and mowing them down and its tough to take down without stormender
Me and my buddy run the EMP launcher and there aren’t very many KS that are a match for it because when you shoot a streak with it, it disables the weapons on the streaks
This shows why game balance is incredibly difficult. The golden era had it's share of problems with streaks that they tried to fix here, but then they tried to rebalance it, and now the opposite problem exists; no one cares about the streaks.
I mean, no one really complained when streaks were powerful. You still had counters back in the day, but the best counter was to just get the streaks before you opponents did. Streaks are one of the fundamentals of cod, and making them worse just hurts the game.
@@epicgamerzfail4575 nah, enough of the players would turn the game off when they were getting steamrolled by streaks back in the day (doesn't mean they were too strong, but still). You can see how that's a problem for the developers, who want as many people playing as much as possible. We might say "well that's the player's problem," but the company can't afford to think that way, so I understand. All I'm saying that trying to solve it can be a nightmare, because now the streaks are too weak.
they should take some notes from some good CoD clone like BLACK OPS 2 Clone "IRONSIGHT" in this game they nerfed scorestreaks so people focus more on gunplay but they make streaks more easily to get as much as easily to go score will add to the streaks every second pass and won't reset after death so everyone would have a chance to get a cool streaks in a game which if they play better they will get it faster and players with good skill can get high tier streaks more often during match while lower skill maybe can call in highest tier streaks in the last 10 seconds also after players used all 3 streaks the scorestreaks will begin to countdown again so it's would be more efficient for low skill player to choose low tier streaks that they could use more often than higher tier that they can barely call in when the match's almost end
Not sure how to explain this, but my enjoyment of streaks has decreased with this heavy sbmm/eomm. Before, I could play aggressively and sometimes get in lobbies where I could earn high streaks, and in other lobbies I'd play the same but would not be near my highest streak. The matchmaking was random (more or less), so had a variety of games, which added to the excitement whenever I had games that I could earn all my streaks in. Now, most games feel the pretty much the same. I don't often earn the top streaks unless I camp, which I rarely do, and the streaks don't feel as rewarding when earning them by camping. I know I'm beating a very dead horse here, but the game was SO much more fun when the matchups felt varied and random. At this point, I'm mainly playing to grind camos/challenges (which can be somewhat enjoyable) and rarely just play the game to enjoy it for what it is.
So back in previous CoD titles I used to be the kind of support player called a "scrapper", as in the guy who turns streaks into scrap metal. I had not played a CoD since BO4 and the first thing I noticed when playing MW22 was just how clunky launchers were to use. From how slow equiping/locking/reloading was to how it didn't seem to always lock properly, to the ammount of rockets needed proportionally to the time it took to just fire one. Simply put, launchers where _pain_ , and I think that is why most people went _"Might as well shoot the darn thing"_ . So now we end up in a situation where using a launcher takes too long, and using an LMG doesn't take long enough. So the apparently obvious conclusion would be to nerf incendiary rounds, but then you still need something to efficently counter streaks and not just count on the entire team to develop a form of cohesion and shoot it (which I've seen a surprising amount of times tbf) so some indirect buffs to launchers would be nice. In example: a perk allowing us to lock-on faster (Data Jacker buff ?), or making Quick Grip/Mag Holster impactfull or at least *consistent* would be a great start. Then once (or ideally, at the same time) the counters are in a good spot, we can think on buffing underperforming streaks.
I got the Swarm 9 times in the first two days of the season and it had an avg of 8,56 kills on Meat... Switched to EMP and love that one, it never gets old seeing the enemies being so confused and try to shoot each other.
Emp is a little too crazy imo, played hardpoint the other day and no one could find the hardpoint cause the hud indicator for where it is was gone too ☠ crazy how the emp is better than the swarm in this game lol
EMP has quickly become a favorite of mine on small maps for that exact reason. It's hilarious seeing the absolute confusion from the enemy team as they all stand around in the spawn shooting each other lol.
What they need to do is make them counter-able. What is the point of the anti-air weapons if by the time you notice the uav it's gone or the helicopter takes too many hits.
What it comes down to is people have adapted to streaks and have started shooting them down. I don't think that streaks should be as weak as they are, but they also shouldn't straight up win the game for you. We need to bring back weapon streaks and the attack dog streak. Streaks that force players to adapt to them are the best kind.
Can I ask now where this is at now? I had a VTOL called in by enemies, and it took nearly a full mag to kill it. Has streaks been buffed even more? It seemed to take longer than what was previously buffed.
Gunship is by far the best lethal streak and actually balanced well, but its dumb trophy system deflects the biggest gun, and also the animation to enter the thing is atrocious, 6-7 seconds of the character setting up buttons to start using the thing, what dumbass thought thats a good idea
I remember the Stealth Bomber in 2009 would absolutely level the map and net you at least 4 or 5 kills depending on the game mode. Now whenever I see one called it, it rarely even gets 1 kill because of how long it takes to arrive.
I noticed the low health streaks with the Chopper Gunner, Overwatch Helo, and Harrier when MWII did a season (5?) reloaded update. I had to change up my streaks cuz of the nerf. I'm pretty sure no patch notes described any health change wiht streaks in MWII
Ace, have you ever done any testing for the Lightweight boots? I play a lot of Search and that is the only other sneakers I've ever used, but honestly like most perks they do not feel like they are doing enough to justify not using DS.
Hey @TheXclusiveAce, could you possibly say something to the devs about not being able to earn aftermarket parts in zombies? Some aftermarket parts require a multiplayer challenge completion to unlock and I don’t want to go play multiplayer for something I want to use in zombies. I paid the money for this game and I feel like I should be able to unlock the renetti or pulemyot aftermarket part in zombies, as well as any other aftermarket part that requires a multiplayer challenge to be completed. I feel like we should have a zombie challenge and multiplayer challenge with the option of completing either one to unlock the part. Thank you for your time.
Chopper gunner, Vitol nneds a buff in health. Swarm, hunter drone needs a tracking buff because it always runs out of battery. They buffed infantry health but not killstreaks health?
There's spawn protection? I've never experienced that. Is it only effective against streaks? If so, that's weird. Every time I'm playing small maps like shipment or rust, I'm getting noob tubed before I even get control of my character and chamber my gun. I didn't think spawn protection was in the game.
Golden age CoD for me was the original MW3: I felt better and more useful using the support streaks, since my team mates couldn't be bothered to shoot down other streaks. Also, if I can impede enemy radar, or flash-bang AND mark enemies was amazing. Please, bring back the 3 separate kill streak model for Assault, Support, and Specialist were amazing!
What's this about a 4 second spawn protection? I'm not experiencing this in any game mode especially on Rust, Meat and Shipment (Gun Game and FFA are the worst). 250/150 mb/s, not a lag issue
yall remember when the bombing run style streaks used to get a bunch of kills like rolling thunder in BO1? Now the stealth bomber can barely clear a double kill. Definitely needs a buff.
I remember the launch of blops 3 the streaks were bad. The raps deploy ship and the gi unit ship would get shot down before it got to the map. After they buffed the streaks getting kills in that game was amazing!
I miss being on bad teams and working my ass off to get streaks to turn the game around. That's what makes old school COD so amazing. That's nearly impossible to do on newer titles
7:12 what spawn protection? Play Shipment MW2/3 and you can literally spawn and immediately die almost infinitely. Ive never experienced that in a COD game before.
Since MW19, I've been running the Gunship as my highest streak (unless I wanna use the juggernaut) because of how easy it is to take out other streaks. I have NEVER had a gunship shot down because of how high in the sky it is, making it hard to shoot, and the flares make launchers ineffective too. I laugh when people try to take it out. Only times I lost it were Cold War because of Air Patrol. It gets a lot of kills too unless it's an indoor map like Terminal or something.
Here's my main issue: it takes an entire team getting owned for an enemy player to earn a high streak. It should take at least several enemy players to take down a high streak (like it does for a gunship). Yet in modern games, all it takes is one player with an LMG to wipeout something like a Harrier before it even gets to the map.
I feel like the best bang for buck streak right now is the Turret (sentry gun?) because if you are smart where you place it- it can be hard for them to kill and it lasts a longer time then other bigger streaks.
Streaks are antiquated. Theres no way to balance streaks in the form that they tend to be in. An insta-death air bomb is not fun. An AI air streak is not fun. Give us streaks that actually require player input and have ways to play against without completely breaking the flow of the game. Juggernauts are a great example of how you still actually have to aim and survive but you get a ton of armor as your reward. Weapon streaks are also great because you do gain a great reward like a minigun or a handcannon, but you still have to aim and have normal health. Area of denial, recon, and stuff like the smoke drone field upgrade would also be a lot more balanced. And when i say area of denial i DO NOT mean like the mortar strike. I mean something like a big gas bomb or a big molotov (just examples). I just don't think streaks as low as 5 to 9 deserve to have such high kill potential, and I don't think if you can get a super high streak that it makes sense for you to get even more kills but this time with zero effort or input. Im just asking for them to actually rethink and reimagine how they approach streaks because it isn't 2009 anymore. The novelty has worn off completely for me. I realized it in BO3 when entire lobbies would just be over when someone called in RAPS, and thats exactly how it would be if we couldn't just insta kill streaks with incendiary ammo. Please just give us something fun and original
I have been saying since blops 2, the problem is not the streaks. The problem is the overhead cover. There are too many multistorey buildings that don't allow streaks access to them from above. Have a whole in the roof or window or something that will you to shoot down. Now that the maps are just the mw2 maps the feel great, as long as no one is shooting them down. If maps have limited over head cover them the streaks seem to work but when there's a closed roof the higher streaks always have problems
I haven’t enjoyed the streaks since black ops 3. Infinite Warfare, Black Ops 2/3 were the best in the series. They looped, people feared them and they were easy to stop. CoD now caters to bad players with weak streaks and horrendous SBMM. I’ve always ran high end streaks, I didn’t always get them but when I did, it was a good time. Stringing the Wraith, HATR and RAPS together on Bops3 was such a good time. And more often than not, I could loop them. Now I get a VTOL which doesn’t even kill on the initial bombing run, then hopefully I’ll get another kill for the advanced UAV and then I’ll earn the SWARM only for it to get 4-5 kills like you said in the video. As a solo player, streaks are such a let down the past few years and ruin what made CoD stand out from the rest. I literally only play CoD because of the streaks and the chance at a nuke. Now they’ve hindered that so much that anything other than the gunship and A-UAV are dead in seconds. They definitely need to buff almost everything. Past the 7 kills/1000(I think that’s right) score mark. One other thing I would like to add is that the KILLstreak system is dated and needs to be permanently switched to scorestreaks. In modes like TDM the kills will count as score accordingly but in the current state of the game, people just use killstreaks and literally move just enough to not get booted for inactivity or to not have ghost deactivate.
I think one real big issue is SBMM mixed with weak higher end streaks. for example, the chopper gunner and harriers are really good streaks, and if you manage to get them in a higher skilled lobby, it'll likely get shot down quickly because guns deal too much damage. easy solution would be as soon as you shoot a bullet, spawn protection should be gone and on lower streaks, in high skilled lobbies, UAVs and counter UAVs are 10x more valuable so its just uav spam, but you usually dont feel like they're worth the effort to take down as they cant kill you
My issue with the streaks is all the middle ones either stink or are not fun to use. The only one in the middle that feels like it’s working as intended is the cluster mine.
I agree exactly. Spawn protection must end when the player starts to aim, shoot or running Also, the swarm should lock onto the target a bit faster. This is really ridiculous.
Something I always liked to do in past cods is save up a hell storm missile for aerial streaks. It`d never reach an AC130 or Loadstar or Strafe run, but with decent aiming you can take down normal hellicopters in a flash. I liked that, trading the lethality of the streak for a more tactical use of it. But Getting your 10.000 score AC-130 taken down by a 1.300 score Air Patrol was a bit much in Cold War. Also speaking on spawn protection, OG MW2's Chopper Gunner was criminal in that aspect, but In CW I can call in a Strafe Run in Nuketown or Drive in and come out of that with 2 kills lol. They've gone too far
Does the Comm Scrambler prevent the other team from calling in streaks no matter where they are on the map or does it only affect nearby enemies from calling them in?
Am I the only one who immediately spawns after being killed and a VTOL or support helo is already putting bullies in me the milesecond I spawn? Before it took a few seconds for it to lock onto you but now… IDK what happened
I think the new emp launcher makes this a whole lot more noticeable. You can emp a wheelson, blur vision on controlled streaks and stop overwatch and VTOL’s from getting a single kill. To be honest I don’t even worry about streaks. I just have fire and forget streaks.
As a Hardcore player, the killstreaks in this game are actually devastating, but in the way should be; overwatch helos and chopper gunners can dominate the kill feed, while the wheelson and jugs are tanky and powerful in the mode, and are best avoided unless your specifically kitted to take them. I haven't seen a swarm get called yet, so it seems that one may still be underwhelming, but using it to drive targets into the open while they try to outrun it might prove more tactically advantageous in HC. The sentry turret feels like it needs some tuning in HC though; I don't know if it's just confirmation bias or not, but they seem to lock on and fire much faster in MWIII, and also seem to turn much faster to keep on target, while also being much tankier in this game; a few punches to the back of the turret used to take them down fairly consistently, but that's not the case any longer in my experience. A single turret can lock an entire area of the map down with very little counterplay if placed well.
“Swarm kill counter: -1” that’s just hilariously amazing
i’ve called in more than one swarm in groundwar that gets zero kills and then kills me
@@McNutEVD How do u even die to ur own swarm that shit only targets enemies ☠️
@@djabouty47shipment
@@djabouty47Unfortunately it was like that too with the swarm in Black Ops 2. If you happen to be too close to an enemy, you end up being collateral damage. Agree you shouldn't die though.
Last swarm I had, got me 2 kills. That's way too little for a kill streak that's meant to be top tier.
With how easy it is to shoot down the Chopper Gunner, there's no reason to pick it over the Gunship which is earned at the same threshold. Gunship always lasts the full 45 seconds, immune to bullets, and guarantees at least 10 kills if you're not targetting spawn protection enemies too often.
this
It also has a horrible missile instead of the goaty 105 that you have to guide yourself instead of just aiming a hole in a building, fire and focus you attention elsewhere....
But yes, it's better than the chopper gunner in most situations
That chopper gunner takes too many shots to kill an single player, like wtf how does someone survive that lol
@@Jumperman12mac Honestly if the chopper gunner was immune to bullets that wouldn't be much of an issue. Though i get it.
Bro I was so excited to call in my first wheelson
And then I ran myself over and ended my own kill streak 😂
Sam turret also takes a lifetime
I hate the turret wheelson, should be like the MW 2019 one.
@@willtheprodigy3819 think he means he ended his actual kill streak with guns, probably called in his wheelson in the middle of it
Also that streaks are moderately harder to earn in MW3 than last year's MW2. The higher TTK/TTD and the higher occurrence of 1v2s (winning first fight then immediately running into another full health enemy while you're at 1/4 or less) ensures you'll die more often before getting a higher streak.
In MW2 '22 a bit of luck went a long way with the lower TTK
I agree but leaving anything to luck is not ideal especially in a competitive shooter. Luck and RNG are the bane of competitive gaming
mathematically the higher ttk doesn't make your chances of winning a 1v2 any lower than if it was faster
So mathematically
% of time reacting to enemy --> 0
when
Overall ttk --> ♾️
Resulting in more 1v2s being won in lower ttk games.
Generally ground streaks have always been better than air streaks in cod for that reason. Its also why they're often a lot rarer.
there was the k9 dogs in vanguard 😅
Vanguard had 2 streaks dedicated to dogs
IW had a GI Unit if you see it you know youre dead and theres nothing you can do it about it lol
@@davet671 we don't speak of vanguard
UAV + CUAV + Predator missile, the holy trinity of the "Ol' Reliables". With how bad SBMM is, no need to sweat for higher streaks that get shot down in 3 seconds.
The counter UAV in MWII/MWIII is probably too easy to shoot down even for a 4 kill streak.
It's just this weird stationary coffee table looking like thing in the sky that you can shoot down even with SMGs, as much as I hate them being spammed it should probably function more like a regular plane or at least try to move around a little to dodge your fire.
The 50% increase to health also makes the chopper gunner feel weak. It's now a hitmarker machine.
I think its a mixture of streaks being too weak and them being too easy to take down. Additionally, cod hasnt seen any new streaks in a while so "streak fatigue" is starting to kick in as well
If you watched the video, you’ll notice the first part of your comment is exactly what he says
@@debido4195its almost like we share the same opinion 🤯
they could take something from a CoD clone "IRONSIGHT" that nerfed the scorestreak so people would focus on gunplay more
by made scorestreak easily to get but easily to go
the scores will countdown every seconds pass and won't reset after death so everyone could get the cool move but if you played well you would get it faster
and timer count down for streak would reset after it reached 3rd streaks
so player have a choice to choose low tier streaks to spam it or select higher tier that need more works to get it done, if player's not so great at the game they maybe call in a hellbird in the last 10 seconds so they should considered choose low tier that they could realistic get often in the game
also their are so many tools that take down streaks faster that can occupied in primary weapons attachments, secondary weapons, tactical, lethals, perks
that's make players thinks that should they take a tools to deals with others streaks or other players so they can get streaks of them own
since streaks come often in this game that's quite important decisions

@@elg7365 That applies to every CoD if people actively try to shoot them down as they said.

Even the highest streaks will die in 4 seconds if 6 players use a launcher or just shoot their gun at it.

Absolutely spot on. And that was back when you had to have the class already made, we couldn't edit classes mid game.
Yepp. All these new heads dont shoot shit down tbh lmao
Streaks haven't felt good in a while.
I miss when streaks were scary. I also remember when streaks capped at 15 instead of 20 or more.
All I remember was streak spam and aerial superiority. Constant lockdown of the spawns that ruined the game imo.
The satiisfaction of obtaining score/kill streak is what makes getting them so rewarding. That satisfaction just wasn't there in CW
I would be interested to know whether this is true or not
Yes I felt the same way. They all fly in at one time then seems like onto a few drones drop after that point
it seems like there's a set number of drones that comes and they can run out really quick
It’s bugged as fuck. You see 1000 drones in the air but sometimes get no kills. Sometimes like 5. Randomly stops. Idek bro
@@calamelli209 is love to see the vulture return, id run that over the trashy CUAV that just gets destroyed instantly lol
Bro people don’t appreciate how much work you put in just to give us content. And for devs to nerf stuff you put out! Thanks 🙏🏾
Weapon streaks (like in Cold War) should come back. There should also be streaks that are akin to specialist tactical abilities in BO3/IW
Stalker sniper should be one. So powerfull...
I feel like if they do a futuristic cod again, that’s the move
@@j0eyhz620even in a modern or past cod it makes sense
Etc etc
It’s just been put in the backburner, and everytime they try to evolve these systems they always fail to do it, so why not just do something more interesting and productive with them?
Imagine Ace giving advice n opinions during the development stage for new cods…🔥🔥 Good job man keep it up!
this is pretty much how I felt with the stealth bombers in every cod game that its in, always a high end killstreak to earn but you're lucky if you even get more than 2 kills with.
-Aim assist strength increased every year, making aiming easier for the average player, thus lowering the skill gap
-Dead silence not always being fully silent, not always on, etc
-EOMM strength increasing every year, don’t need to explain more on this
-Stims being worse, quickfix removed/nerfed, hurts better players in the end
List goes on, you get it. Strong streaks = money lost
Man oh man, your fix for spawn protection is a GOLDEN idea. Hope they see this and take action. Great vid as always Ace.
I do not understand why MW3 (the original one) does not rank higher on the all time list. The reaper drone? The pavlow? The ACR? The MP7? What a game.
Top 3 CoD for me, along with BO2 and post-overhaul WW2. MW3 was MW2 with better maps and all of the broken, game-destroying bullshit like OMA/DC noobtubes fixed.
YES!!!!!!
Na that couldn't be right. SBMM is working and protecting lower skilled players 🙂
All my team leaves because of sbmm. And cheaters.
Idk what game yall playing but those vtols and AI controlled attacks would target me the moment I spawn in and get at LEAST 5 kills on me. STRONG AF
Amazing gameplay Ace, I forgot to listen to your streak opinions as I was enjoying your playing so much
The worst part of people dipping out from Streak Spam is that I end up being pulled into that lobby.
Damn I hated WP so much cause of that very reason. No counter for it.
Wish we didn’t have streaks at all. Miss the Barebones playlist.
war has no streaks, and it’s a fun fast paced mode

All I know is the sentry gun needs a major nerf especially in HC. Either that or make it 13 kills to get it.
Noticed it in the beta, that this sentry is crazy powerful lol. Always running that thing. Put it in a great spot and it'll rack up kills for you easy.
Sentry gun is shit in core so doesn't need nerf. You can run perks to counter it. hardcore is not the focus here mate. A very small minority plays it.

Swarm, EMP, and Gunship are my go tos for the mode Invasion. All hell breaks loose with that combo
4 seconds is not efficient. Is stupid. When you have 4 seconds spawn protection.
@@elg7365 4 seconds is not efficient? Are you being for real? It's super efficient
@@grrman it is not efficient it is way to easy .you have 4 sec spawn protection and you need 4 sec to geti it down. Way to easy for a 15 kill streak
@@elg7365 I use the strobe perk, so apart from really attentive chopper gunners, spawn protection wouldn't do jack. Plus suppressors hide your muzzle flash, making it even harder to be seen.
And just because something is "too easy" doesn't mean it isn't efficient.
@@elg7365 Also, chopper gunner isn't even 15 kills my dude. Do you even play the game?
Let it cruise the map like the old school agr and do its thing
I think things like the chopper gunner ac 130 and swarm should have splash damage agsinst building hiders.
But when that one stormender comes out, you feel like you are getting bullied :/
Better to reduce the number of kills for the swarm than buff the swarm
All I'm saying that trying to solve it can be a nightmare, because now the streaks are too weak.
they should take some notes from some good CoD clone like BLACK OPS 2 Clone "IRONSIGHT"
in this game they nerfed scorestreaks so people focus more on gunplay
but they make streaks more easily to get as much as easily to go
score will add to the streaks every second pass and won't reset after death so everyone would have a chance to get a cool streaks in a game
which if they play better they will get it faster
and players with good skill can get high tier streaks more often during match while lower skill maybe can call in highest tier streaks in the last 10 seconds
also after players used all 3 streaks the scorestreaks will begin to countdown again so it's would be more efficient for low skill player to choose low tier streaks that they could use more often than higher tier that they can barely call in when the match's almost end
*Back to basics. In CoD4 and WaW we only had 3 killstreaks. The rest was up to pure gun skill.*
@@Real.384 Ain't my fault you can't get any kills without streaks in the air.
@@ReboyGTR I mean, if he can get streaks in the air, then obviously he is getting kills to get them lol
@@emwols Maybe his teammates are dominating and getting a bunch of streaks going making it easier for him to get regular gun kills.
there's no need to nuke the system, they just need to balance it. Remastered was boring asf, don't want that again.
@@ReboyGTR Yeah, with the SBMM we have, that surely ain't happening
Streaks that force players to adapt to them are the best kind.
the spawn protection is just ridiculous
Can I ask now where this is at now? I had a VTOL called in by enemies, and it took nearly a full mag to kill it. Has streaks been buffed even more? It seemed to take longer than what was previously buffed.
Gunship is by far the best lethal streak and actually balanced well, but its dumb trophy system deflects the biggest gun, and also the animation to enter the thing is atrocious, 6-7 seconds of the character setting up buttons to start using the thing, what dumbass thought thats a good idea
One of the first games in a long time where the Sentry gun gets me more kills than higher end streaks, and last longer
I hate having to stop and pilot streaks so tbh I’m glad I’m not missing out
I remember the Stealth Bomber in 2009 would absolutely level the map and net you at least 4 or 5 kills depending on the game mode.
I miss powerful streaks, that’s why bo2, bo3 and bo4, and even advanced are some of my fav streaks
You are wrong when it comes about spawn protection becouse I had so many times situation where attack chopper killed me second after I spawned
Yes, against streaks only. General spawn protection would be horrible for CoD
“Against streaks”
I agree completely on the spawn protection thing. The moment you fire on an enemy, killstreak or player, the game sgoild "green light" you.
When you use Swarm on BO2 the whole enemy lobby quits, same was with Raps in BO3. That's why they toned them down.
When you use raps the player that used it quits
@@Deathmare235drop an EMP on a raps for 800+ score
I find the most satisfying streak is the SAE. Fantastic impact for its requirement, reliably gets kills and is especially fun in 10v10.
Hole in the roof *
It's so frustrating getting a swarm on shipment just to get like 6 kills and end up blowing yourself up at least twice
I think one real big issue is SBMM mixed with weak higher end streaks.
for example, the chopper gunner and harriers are really good streaks, and if you manage to get them in a higher skilled lobby, it'll likely get shot down quickly because guns deal too much damage. easy solution would be as soon as you shoot a bullet, spawn protection should be gone
and on lower streaks, in high skilled lobbies, UAVs and counter UAVs are 10x more valuable so its just uav spam, but you usually dont feel like they're worth the effort to take down as they cant kill you
My issue with the streaks is all the middle ones either stink or are not fun to use.
Only enemies in that circle but they can see its exact spot on their minimap
