Around 2011 or 2012 I purchased this exact unit thinking it was kind of a " as seen on TV" type of gimmick. It literally blew my mind the first time I used it. I don't have huge hands, I have large hands and I despise peeling potatoes, carrots, really anything. Anything. I've purchased cutco's manual peeler and it's unbelievable , if you like using a peeler. I've looked into commercial applications because we do eat a lot of potatoes in this house. Then here comes this $30 item that you think would just be a waste of $30. You would be wrong. All you do is put the potato in its place and hit a button. It peels it. It's the next greatest appliance since the KitchenAid. I'm deadly serious, buy this, you will absolutely love it. Clean up is nothing, wipe it down and rinse off the blade. So what happens when the blade gets dull? Dull? Nothing, there's two free ones that come with it. If you live long enough to go through those, they sell them by the 12 pack on this website. There are knock-offs, different colors, some with stainless steel, don't waste your money . The design is exactly the same as it was back in 2011 when I bought mine and it works just as well. In case you're wondering why I bought another one, I knocked my original off the counter when it was not plugged in and hit the ground just at the right angle to break the arm rendering it completely useless. I was happy to buy another one. Give this thing a chance, you'll be glad you did
