I totally agree with Howard Farran in the previous comment. Bill was a brilliant innovative scientist and a kind & patient teacher/mentor. He taught me everything I know about electron microscopy and ultrastructure when I was still an undergrad. at the University of Calgary. For over 40 years, I've been teaching my own students what I learned from him. I really miss this kind gentleman. V.L.
