    Great to see you helping other creators. Usually when I get a comment from a fairly big channel it comes as a studio notification instead of a normal one, so they might see it anyway. Either way, great job helping other creators, stuff we love to see. Sucks how they banned you just for trying to help them

    I don't want to start a flame here .. but a quick note .. values of resistors aren't in Volts but in the Ohms 😉. Anyway .. good job as always 👍.

    Created a short and fried the controller releasing the magic smoke so the the electrons didn't flow anymore ... lucky for you client there are people the understand how it works.

    Hi Erkin, I have 2 questions.Because I like to learn from it.
    1. Why you said donor controller can be damage the data and are there any method for identify it before swap?
    2. Why you use pc3000 for controller and why you swap the controller after doing it.
    Thank you.

      @lukasz_wasilkowski 2 роки тому +2

      The new/different controller may reinitialize the memory module and reset its contents.
      Reading NAND before swap is to protect the original dump in case the memory is cleared by a new controller.

      1. Like Lukasz said, in theory controllers may reinitialize the NAND and the data will be gone. I don't know if you can identify it, but practically I have never seen it happen, and I swapped NANDs/controllers thousands of times.
      2. I dumped the physical image so I can have a backup for safety measures. Building controller in any software can be as good as hardware controller, but swapping controller over takes 2 seconds. And if it works its a 100% recovery, so don't need to worry about bad sector readouts.

    Off-topic but figured I’d ask. Don’t know if you listen to music while you do your repairs. I definitely do I was wondering if maybe you could do a Q&A or something showing things that help you get into the groove such as music you listen to.

    I agree with @lee heggie - I keep checking your channel on a weekly basis to see if you have posted any new videos. I'm glad to see your back! We missed you !.. FYI I'm not a big fan of commenting on anyone's channel but I wanted you to know that your subscribers and I do like your content so keep up the good work. Will we be seeing videos more often now?

      @@hddrecoveryservices As I see in the videos for repairing traces and cell phone flexy cables with these thin wires only the heat of the soldering iron is required to strip the insulation. Are these wires coded with a different type of laquere than regular motor or transformer magnet wires?
