Making Patreon-exclusive videos was something I had always hoped to avoid, but sadly every other attempt to encourage viewers to support the channel without offering incentives has been incredibly unsuccessful. The reason for pushing the Patreon so hard is that I cannot afford to buy one book per month. Meaning that, without sufficient Patreon support, eventually I will only be able to review a few books per year. To help keep the channel running consistently, become even better and support the fight for excellence in publishing/reviewing (as well as gain access to all current Patreon-exclusive videos), please consider joining at: www.patreon.com/artandmakingof
@@andyarmour1234 At this stage only every second video is Patron exclusive. Do you mind if I ask why you'd only be interested in signing up if all the videos were exclusive? Are you saying that if the videos are free to watch you aren't interested in paying for them, but if they require payment to view then you are willing to pay to watch? Sorry for the interrogation - I'm just trying to understand what different veiwers find appealing.
This isnt the way to get Patreon supporters. You should make a general review with just stills or clips of your praises and critiques here and do a more in depth review with the full flip through in Patreon. Putting your review period behind a paywall is how you lose viewers, especially cus casual people watch book videos to see if they should get a book. You gotta make your videos more general audiences friendly so you get pushed more on the algorithm, people clicking off your video early isnt gonna help ya, dude. I say this as someone who has made different types of content on the internet and has gotten paid for it.
@@TheArtandMakingof honestly? yea, i liked the way you talk about the books and if it helps you make more videos for sure! but this is just baiting views and making people just not be interested. You can do with your content as you wish tho.
@@CloneCaptainRex7567 So why hadn't (or haven't) you joined the Patreon? Are you saying your claim that you would join in order to help make more videos is outweighed by the mere principle of not supporting someone who uses a paywall for only some of their content (a paywall that only exists because people like you weren't willing to join even when there were no exclusive videos). So I don't believe you're the sort of person who would ever join. Plus, in six years of free videos I only acquired 6 Patreon members, since implementing this new method that number has doubled. So you'll understand if I don't take advantage of your advice.

Will all your videos be released in this way? I’d happily sign up if that’s the case

And had I been doing what you suggest, you would have joined the Patreon, right?
