It's fitting that this video was the last to be re-uploaded; the introduction is oddly prophetic. Here's to 2018 and the return of the Everquesting team.
And we come to the end of the reuploads :D Now I can rebinge the entire thing on one channel \o/ Looking forward to the next notification being a brand new reptox adventure!
I always enjoyed the real feeling of danger/possible death in EQ, you had to plan a trip zone to zone and know your way around to survive.. it just doesn't exist in any MMO today. everything now is speed level, gear quick through dungeons and off to raids you go. at that point the rest of the games world is meaningless.
damn FM... I remember back in the day me (paladin) and another ranger used to duo the giant fort there on the rathe server. Damn the memories. Do a lot of people play on this project99? Kinda tempting lol
Around 400 unique players during off-peak and about 1200 unique players during on-peak. Weekends especially Sundays can get even busier. It is a very well populated server, however because it has been up since 2009 and will not go past Velious the economy and gear saturation is no longer really classic. I don't consider that a bad thing but some people do.
Lots of people on P99! Can generally find a group at any level (Especially if you have a guild!). Offpeak hours it may dip down a bit, but peak hours it's still booming in 2018! Come play with us!
XP was slower with a group than solo, is that normal? I took it for granted that the opposite was the case but then I did play an enchanter, really speeds things up between the haste and clarity.
Completely depends on the situation, location and classes involved. Groups have the potential to be much faster if they run efficiently and there is a constant supply of mobs to be killed. That is not always the case however and therefore soloing can sometimes be the more effective option. Also there are a few classes out there that excel much more in solo play than they do in group play.
I've watched/listened to all of your videos from the old channel and this one multiple times over. I thoroughly enjoy the format of your videos and how informative you are when explaining/describing things in each one. Any time I get an itch to play Everquest P99, I wind up binging a bunch of these videos and then marathon EQ for a couple of weeks, so I sincerely hope you continue to create and upload more, newer videos in the near future. Best of luck! -Yucksar
Hell levels were the stupidest thing EQ did. Along with losing your shit when you die. Especially as an iksar, dying itself is bad enough without losing hours and hours of XP and needing to find your body again. Fk That, huge reason why I quit playing.
I am a old school eq player loved this server started a Druid got it up 18 and one day logged in and is was gone , but love watching these . Would love to play again on this server but time is limited for me and have to start again from scratch

This was fantastic - thank you!
Loved soloing my Druid out here. Loved soloing my Druid everywhere, actually... :p
When I payed EQ, just clicking hot keys. Are you able to bind hot keys? Never tried it years ago because that’s how we didn’t play 😂

Sucks no one told you about the brute camp inside the tunnel where you zone into dalnir
