I never understand how couples get so worked up in an arguement that it gets physical or loud enough to warrant a neighbor's police call. Seeing my parents get loud made me so averse to those type of relationships. Now when my gf and I argue to the point of overheating we just hit the pause button to return to it when we're more calm. No arguement is worth all that unless it's a relationship breaking one, and when it's at that point it's better to call it quits.
You're doing it right. You have extraordinarily learned how to reserve your emotions and energy. I saw my family do those things, and i feel the same. I dont get it. I dont even really argue with my partner. I call it "bickering disagreements" cause we dont raise our voices at all.
My long term relationship ended with a petty argument and a manipulative call to the police too. It backfired though because it was obvious who was manipulating who.

Being a survivor of dv myself, I tend to believe the woman but unfortunately there are some women who lie. He didn't need to say anything at all about it since no one really knew. But since he decided to talk about it, he should've kept the videos up because his followers supported him. Sure the brands won't work with him but there are brands that may have worked with him in the future. I agree with what's being said about him taking all of his videos down. That's his legacy.
