Thank you so much, Catherine. I hope you do, my good friend. I would enjoy that, as would I'm sure everyone else in search of a Christmas treat. I'm pleased you like this first carol. I tried to put some harmonies on it but failed miserably. 😅 Maybe next time; although I'm not holding my breath. lol.
This is a very old Christen song .Sang in Tudor times and before l have a good collection of Tudor music ,Some lovely tunes played on Instruments of the time. Its hard to get same feel off modern instruments, different Way of Singing as well.Good effort though .Still popular to this day.
@@elizabethandrogercourt8055 There is something about Elizabethan music that gets under my skin, makes the back of my spine tingle. It’s almost as if I was there when it was originally performed. It transports my very being to another place. Sounds daft, I know. Two of my favourite LPs are by David Munrow and the Early English Consort. I also love listening to Maddy Prior and The Carnival Band. Their albums of carols are a festive must for anyone who enjoys wallowing in earlier times. You’re right, I doubt there were 12-string guitars back then. 😀 I just enjoy singing the song. Thank you both so much for your very welcome support.
Love this song.
Thank you again, Peter. It's a cracker of a song. Pleased you like it, my friend.
