Has anyone wondered why they perform this "morning ritual" like standing outside as the sun rises and then retreating inside before they can die from the sunlight?
Because it’s usually treated as a curse and the sunlight a forbidden beauty they can never behold. This is their way of experiencing that beauty despite not being supposed to. It’s sort of them taking that power back.
Charlotte is an interesting character, she seems to miss her humanity, especially after her daughter died as an old woman.
