I will always take more Atarashii Gakko. Though they are a J-pop group, so don't expect metal. "Otona Blue/The First Take" exemplifies their charisma.

I love Atarashii Gakko! but I hate Otana Blue, if that was the first song from them I heard, I would off written them off right then and there...

@@lordspydergaming3154 Oh, I agree wholeheartedly. Otona Blue is probably one of the most mid songs they have done. I skip it whenever I am listening to their albums. But it is the song that made them big and allowed them to make other great music.

It is a huge hit for a reason though if you you are more metal focused it is pretty much straight pop.

Shimi is an old MTH song that has been reworked to include the singing and dancing of Atarashii Gakko. The groups have different musical styles, but both challenge many assumptions of Japanese society and have a very individual and recognizable styles making it a great collaborations. Also the melodic parts were originally sung by MTH's drummer, Nao, so having AG! sing them sounds right and Nao still gets to sing the final melodic part. The shamisen bit is a great intro to Rin's rap.
Atarashii Gakko are the four women in the school sailor suit uniforms and are a song and dance group formed in 2015 by Asobisystem. The members are Mizyu, Suzuka, Rin and Kanon. Their irreverent attitude and early jazz influenced songs didn't have much success in Japan and they were dropped by their record label in 2019. They were quickly signed by the US label 88Rising and produced an EP with Money Mark in CA and started to get some attention internationally. Then in 2023 they went viral on TikTok in Japan with their song Otona Blue and have capitalized on that success with collaborations like this, a new album called "AG! Calling" and a World Tour playing mostly mid sized venues of a few thousand capacity.
If you are interested in more AG! I recommend:
"Atarashii Gakko, Otona Blue, The First Take"
If you want something a little heavier their first ever single, Dokubana, is a good option, just search on
    "ATARASHII GAKKO! - 新しい学校のリーダーズ 「毒花」"

MTH are unfortunately about the least reactor friendly group of all the Japanese metal groups! They are a bit famous for it.

MTH stand against the status quo of Japanese culture and that is exactly why ATARASHII GAKKO was featured on this song.
ATARASHII GAKKO are 100% true and honest with themselves not taking anything to serious just like MTH.
They both represent a shift from the stereotypical way all Japanese people should act and present themselves and break the mold by being incredibly authentic. AG! didnt get pushed by some giant corporation to be the new big thing, instead taking there own path and pursuing there goals as a group. They were able to rise above with there own handwork and determination and that lead them to feature on the one of the biggest Japanese bands ever MTH!!
I would love to see you react to more Atarashii Gakko in the future!

For more Gakko goodness, please listen to Otonablue (First Take version). This song will surely win you over. After that, check out AG's international breakout hit Tokyo Calling. Then finsih it off with the rocking Seishun wo kirosakuhado or the groove stomping Giri Giri. 😊

Please react to Dir En Grey too. The channel Kaya and PerixUploaded uploads their lives and are 100 percent reactor friendly.
Start with Uroko(personally believe it's the best intro song for them).
If Maximum the Hormone blend genere then Dir En Grey does complete songs from every genere(rock, hard rock, numetal, death metal, doom, pop-rock, prog etc.)
