The nerfs to df+1,2, df+2 ans db+2 are terrible and I hope they revert them. I'm quite excited by the new ub+3 and f+1+4 though. You can now play defensive with Devil Jin, it seems.

Look at Devil in Tekken 7 now, he is only a strong character in the beginning and weak in the final version.
He is always strong only in the beginning.
As a devil jin main I only like how he looks but the impression of the overall game and changes have me worried for the game.
Like it will lose depth compared to Tekken 7. Aggression, aggresssion, aggression !
His df2 keep CH tool doesnt exist anymore.
And the range of an attack that gets a follow up on hit AND on block (!) has stupid big range.
Chip dmg and heat also still seem just wrong and like they will be become boring and old REAL fast.
If offensive is easy it becomes boring to watch. You could get a tiny taste during the evo preview event. From gameplay aspect it looked WORSE than tekken 7.
Time will tell, but I bet this will be a downgrade from tekken 7 in terms of longterm appeal and esports spectator magnet.
At least the hype is there , so it wont be a commercial failure like Tekken tag 2 ( which almost killed the entire franchise) but that hype is mostly because of how great of a game Tekken 7 was and how good Tekken 8 LOOKS ( visuals not gameplay ).
I’ve been maining Jin since tekken 3 and devil Jin since tekken 5 and I say bring it mofos I will kill you before you hit the ground 😅
