Thanks for having me boys! 🖤
Yeah baby. Thanks for taking the time mate!
Nice addition to today’s show. The “Australian sandwich” 🥪 😆 😆
Are you ill yet? I heard Dan and Mick are working with Creed to take you out of the game, clearing the path for their comeback tour!
@46:25 I abandoned all hope of achieving Chris Buck tone. Unplugged with an SG Chris sounded like Chris! What other proof do we need that tone is in the hands?
Just out of hospital having suffered my 2nd stroke in 6 years and like the first one, I look to Mick and Dan to help me along with my recovery. I saw you 6 years ago at the London show (opened my wallet which said I struggle to speak) and tried telling you how important you were in my recovery. Well, unfortunately it's happened again but every cloud... I can catch up on all the episodes I missed. Keep rolling, you do a fantastic job.
Jamie! Thanks for the message man, and really sorry to hear that you’ve had another setback. I often recount our meeting to friends of mine when they feel like they’re in a tight spot, because your bravery and determination was, and remains, incredibly inspiring.
Sending you big love and the best of everything with the road to recovery. Thanks for being with us!
here is to brighter days ahead
Chris is an AMAZING guitarist - one of the best out there today.
Great show guys! C. Buck is a real soulful player and you guys all are the best ! Thanks from Iowa.
Nice call on Slash, boys. Appetite for Destruction is one of the greatest albums of all time and the guitar work is flawless, yet somehow threatening.
Chris is always so focused and sincere in his videos, its nice to see him in a non-scripted format. He's got a great sense of humour!
Chris is always a welcome presence. What an astounding player and genuinely great human.
saw Chris Buck live with Cardinal Black last year, best guitar playing I have ever witnessed
Somehow missed this episode so coming to it late, what an amazing chat, had you three on in the background whilst doing some work and the time flew by. I love that feeling.
love some of the sayings that Chris comes out with. Dead Mans Toenails and Wet Kit Kats, LOLZ.
Thank you Chris , you’re an amazing player
Nothing like watching TPS, drinking from my TPS mug on my TPS coaster.
Yes !!! Buck Time !!! Sweet !!
Having Chris on was treat. I think he would make a good Regular guest. Ps awesome epi with Robben and the boys checking out the Dumble.
Such an inspiring player. Phill is the guy you wish all your hero’s turn out to be if your lucky enough to meet them. Still get the goose bumps listening to their classics.
All my love for The Pedal Show and Chris Buck❤
Thank you, really enjoyable conversation! Chris is the best. Wishing health to everyone.
Hi, I noticed Dan has a new sg, did you make a video on it ? I would love to hear about it 😊
Outstanding 😎
I missed this show originally, the garden centres are now open full bore and my wife was supremely stoked, but what a fantastic show!
Chris Buck is a stellar player and such a nice dude, and he fits into the TPS sense of humor seamlessly.
The point is that I've been wanting Thorpy (I absolutely love the military spec aesthetics) pedal for a long time but don't want to duplicate functionally something I already have, and the new CB dual overdrive fits the bill perfectly!
Now to somehow secure funding from 'she who must be obeyed'......
Thanks guys, as always!
We need a signature Blobble pedal now.
Chris is very funny...such as witty, easy going guy. "Is that an annoyed noise or the sound of a diesel?"
Definitely please do a a show on building pedals and your experiences and your favs!!!
The fact that you can identify Chris’ playing without seeing him is such a huge testament to his abilities. To be able to create your own identity as a player 70+ years into the electric guitar becoming a thing is remarkable.
My dream came true! 😍
Chris: "Thankfully it didn't stick..." UNTIL NOW BLOBBLE. 😂
This might be my fav episode ever. Seeing Chris getting the chance to geek out and i know his touched on how the whole business side on Friday fretworks before but this was a lesson. Thanks! Maybe look at a band further down the ‘food chain’ too Ed from Brave Rival might be a good shout (they have supported Cardinal Back) and that whole incessant touring/ crowd funding/ and having a small pedal board for overseas travel.
Guys, Just wanted to let you know that you have helped me on my journey once more. I fell out of love with my Marshall SV20c. I was quite sad because I loved it to bits. Anyways, got myself a Orange Tremlord used and it does the job just as I wanted. More headroom, efficient speaker, great reverb. Thanks for your constant and patient passing on of knowledge.
👏🏻
I enjoy the complimentary interest my wife has in nurturing plants (many of which are edible) to my preference for keeping growth in check and trim. I only ask that boundaries are well established and she clearly identifies any " no go" zones which I happily leave to her control. Our age has (apparently) little or no influence on our cooperation - although I will now haul her gardening supplies.
"117 Volts plus or minus 10%" has been the standard in the US since at least 1959,. according to a document published by RCA on vacuum tube ratings from that year.
😊😊😊
Thanks Gents , I love your shows on Monday ( even though I rarely get to watch it on a Monday ) loved the Roben videos . Chris is a fabulous guest and an even better Musician, poor old Dan he's Crook again Dan you might have to leave that " BALL GRABBING " alone for a week or two!! . You guys shows are so much more than a basic must guitar show it's like Freud and Satra and Einstein meets the Namm show . Sorry Mick my grammar, syntax etc is shite , I know because of your previous life reading this tosh must be like nails on a blackboard. My Mother in law suffers badly from vertigo as do another couple of people I've met recently. Because I live in a tiny Hamlet in rural Ireland most people tend to leave conventional Medicine and go and see the local " WISE WOMAN " much to the annoyance of the good Doctor. Thanks again have a wonderful week. PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE ❤❤.
i had to really crank the volume to hear you guys. then a commercial comes on and scares my neighbors. turn it up.
Prob worth getting your ears checked, I'm listening on a phone while doing chores and it's crystal
@@headlandfestival3237 every other video on youtube is loud as shit. it's not my ears.
I very much enjoyed the electric lightening dance routine and theme toon
Since the amazing Chris Buck appears to be a man that rides his volume control to great effect. Any chance show on the ins and outs treble bleed circuits etc would be great!
@36:55 Did Dan just "Thank you, tiger" me? That made my week! haha - great show guys! 😁
Mulled Mead (fermented with local honey) infused with spices including anise and ginger is always a welcomed tonic (preferably imbibed outdoors).
Robbed Ford !!! Chris Buck!!! Omygodomygodomygod!!!
More production chat please!
Source Audio and TC Electronic have been chosen repeatedly for variety, innovation, quality and affordability
Listened to the Back and Forth Again solo and while the influence is apparent, your solo feel is superior, Chris!
I bought a TS-808 in 1981 and traded it in 2001 for a Seagull S6+CW (in hard shell case) which I fully expect to keep as it is the best sounding and easiest playing acoustic I've found.
Components are but the coordinated make up of a system. It's always more about how they get along than it is that they're there.
The new Keeley "I Get Around" Rotary pedal looks and sounds fantastic. Keeley would be one of my Brand picks.
I've always thought strats w lipsticks seems so fun
Either 9 1/2s or half round 10s are easy on the fingers regardless of shale length. I like the balanced feel of heavier unwound hybrids when playing deeper arch tops.
Great chat with Chris in the room.
Being just a pedestrian tone chaser, my two brands would be Boss and EHX. Maybe an MXR/Dunlop thrown in. The only Jam pedal I've ever owned was a V1 'Monk purchased direct from That Pedal Show Store.
Leant it out to a touring a guitar player.
I'm not getting that one back
13 mins in, and C Buck seems to be wondering “what the hell am I doing here?”
I use the bridge and middle setting the most - by far. This may be influenced by the volume limitations and lack of bandmates.
I don't recall that there is anything significant about 1984, but probably what is being referred to is that US mains voltage used to be specified as 110 V, but is now specified as 120 V.
Could you use a G3 to turn the vocal mics off when playing guitar?
Erm, via midi, maybe!
Chris is so good tasteful yet when he goes oh boy he goes
11:00 English Electric used to make the Lightning jet fighter. Bizarrely, they also made washing machines.
Ok, not yet quite, we need some serious playing and pedalboard walkthrough! 😅 Pleaaaaase 😇
I was surprised the dumble cab had G12-65's and not EV's. Sounded amazing though
The sounds at 10:31 starts to get fantastic
Can you please turn on subtitles. Thanks.
I missed the live, shat.
I run two wet/dry amp heads (modern Two Rock and Matchless) from a U.K. voltage, dual output Brown Box, usually in the region of 228-234V. Gives you a bit more sag and extends the tube life. Obviously if you;re using vintage tube amps, then it becomes a bit more of a priority. For modern amps. I put it in the same mental bucket as a high quality buffer or very high quality head>cab speaker cable: you don’t need one, but it’s hard to go back once you start using one.
Edit: fyi the Brown Box doesn’t set the voltage to a consistent/specific level, it just attenuates by a certain voltage. So if Dan’s mate with the 255 sets it down 25 volts to 230 or whatever, it will still go up to 235 if his house power suddenly goes to 260V. Also means that if the venue climbs 5-7V during the evening (not entirely uncommon), you’re still below 240V on the amps.
ya know you can get a cheap telly and use it as another monitor and move CHAT to it so it's easier to interact with
@mick per 1:52:32 LOL I am also glad I don't know this stuff! It probably means we have spent our time well LOL
Re: Leicester gig. Was it my imagination, or was Steve Rothery at the gig. Great show by the way
Cheers mate, it was indeed Mr Rothery 👍
@@ThatPedalShow I saw on the video he's going to be on. He's a very underrated guitarist I think. Very excited
12:15 “Barracuda” was metaphorical - the story concerned a predatory male’s approach regarding the Wilson sisters. Ann wasn’t best pleased - the song was her response 👍
Steve Rothery my favourite guitarist, can’t wait!
What he can do with a JC-120, DS-1 and a Squier Strat!
Was that a jhs spoiler 🔍
Not watching live, I'm getting tonnes of adverts.
Sorry, I’ll turn them off. We can’t work out how to turn them off when the show goes out!
Thank you! Sorry to complain I'm just used to them being turned off. Love the show!
So please Chris discovered P90s at a young age! I first discovered the beauty of P90s at the age of 58! Find it very hard to play my Strats these days and my got to Les Paul has been sitting in its case for 2 years now 😞
Its sad, you should play them all. You’re old, might not be around for many more years
@@OttophilJust because you're younger doesn't mean you'll outlast him. You could be hit by a bus tomorrow.
Death makes angels of us all and gives us wings, smooth as ravens claws
Is Joe Bonamassa completely deaf?
Quiet show, BLASTING ads every five to ten minutes on the replay.
Oh balls. Sorry I’ll turn the ads off. UA-cam won’t allow us to turn them off when setting the show up and I always forget. Sorry!
Why don't you come off a dollar and upgrade to UA-cam Premium? It's essentially a must-have for regular YT viewers, plus they rotate a VERY respectable number of free movies with it. "Alien", for example, is among the free movies right now.
Chris' band opened for Frampton for 3 nights at RAH for a 6k loss? I get its the music "business", but that feels like downright shameful treatment on the part of the promoter and headliner.
Poor Chris... On a bit of a monologue whilst "That Pedal Show" turns into "That Device in my Hand Show".... Felt a bit disrespectful watching this to be honest.
