The remnant part of the locomotive is a forward section of a ""Stanier 8F" from the LMS company. Many were built for the British War Department and shipped overseas during WW2 and some remained until recently in Turkey, Iraq and Greece. this is not very deep dive, main time you will spend on depth 20-25m. But for 12 years old boy it could be too difficult because of allot of dark and small rooms. Also perfect neutral buoyancy is required for all divers. Otherwise it would be not fun but torture. How many dives do you personally have? and what is your certificate?

Anton Siabro I have 400+ dives and Advanced Open Water and PADI Cavern Diver Certification. My son has about 65 dives.
@UA-cam Community Guidelines we did not do this dive, but instead did some reefs in Hurghada. Some of the best dives I’ve had. Loved Egypt!

Yes, it is possible to take day tour from Sharm. But it also possible to go from Hurgada.
