In this video I show you how you can make a basket so you can easily abrasive or vapor blast tiny parts. - Наука та технологія
You can buy two round, stainless steel, grill baskets off of the interwebs for less than $20.
Thanks
Awesome idea and relatively easy to build. Thanks for posting!
Thanks. I'm glad you like it.

Nice idea Arnold
Thanks
Instead of the two nuts locked together under the lower disc you could lock them together with the disc clamped between them.
Also, a single nyloc nut (or a pair of ordinary nuts locked together) could be used as an adjustable spacer instead of the fixed length tubular spacer.
Perhaps metal jam jar lids with holes drilled in the middle could be used instead of the aluminium discs for a very simple low budget build?
This is interesting because we have a Skat Blaster and we are a micro machine parts maker so this little basket is a must make for or shops bead blast cabinet, we do not have the water version you do, ours is dry. Thank you this makes great sense we have something similar for our sonic cleaner station where the parts are also very watch part sized.
Lance & Patrick.
That's an interesting business niche you have. Pretty cool.
Nice idea, but I would protect the spacer aluminium tubing with a length of rubber hose; it would last longer I think.
lol.....
Man your not kidding.!.!.!
Great Idea .!.!.!
Thanks. Yes, it allows media through, as long as it's not too coarse, approaching 20 mesh size.
Arnold's Design::: Thank You.. 👍
Forget using the inner tube just use lock nuts throughout! When you lock in the nuts into position it will easily disassemble quickly.
Nice job, and it looks very useful. Now you can use it to make more homemade tools. Feel free to embed your video on our homemade tools forum; looks like you're one of us :-)
Thank you.
I do the same thing when VB, I have a number of different sieves.

Question....
Does the screen size, allow enough media to get thought...?
Yeah, the screen's 20 mesh, so anything smaller than that passes through.
I have been doing it wrong, just using a flour sifter in my sand blast cabinet.
I've used sifters too. They work as long as parts don't blow out.
@@ArnoldsDesign I had that happen with lighter parts. I also use a soup can with the bottom cut out and mosquito netting lashed on over the bottom. The aspect ratio of the soup can seems to keep all the parts contained.
Great video with adaptive solutions that everyone can use with this,
Bought a few of these at Walmart awhile ago for use in the blast cabinet and the parts washer. Just hold the gloved hand over the top to keep the parts in. A cap would be better.

Brad...assume that you decided against offering plans for your Vapor Blaster? Just curious, sorry for the pesty question.
No, I'm still working on them. I've been so swamped with vapor blasting work this summer, much more than usual. It is about 95% done. I just need to complete the electrical switch part, and I want to be very careful about how it's layed out in the book.
Btw, the rolodex looks like a good idea with the cap. I'll probably pick up a few.
@@ArnoldsDesign Oh, that's good news. Glad to hear your busy!
Plastic end caps might be easier!
Not sure if they come in that size but might be worth a shot.
I use a home made rotating tumbler with blasting grit or a home made vibrating cleaner somewhat like this one: ua-cam.com/video/lXknqxaYgPY/v-deo.html works great! I use al kinds of media, aquarium sand/stones or blasting grit.
