Updates: - In Round 1, Boaster's Omen smoke was to give him cover to dodge a potential skye flash from EG. He's also so tucked in, that attackers actually won't see the smoke before they get in range of Alfajer's cypher cam. So there really is no tell for that mid trap until someone takes contact with the camera. This was an important detail I missed, thank you guys for pointing that out!
The smoke boaster throws off the start is probably to avoid detection by a flash, since Derke is playing in lower vents to dodge it aswell, hiding the fact that their are three players in mid.

FNC has been so consistently dominant that its honestly hard to imagine any other team winning in LA at this point. the only wild card that FNC has yet to face is PRX something and he may very well be the only chance anyone has at beating FNC unless the other teams step up their game. if FNC wins at LA as well, they would have won *EVERY MAJOR INTERNATIONAL EVENT OF THIS YEAR*
Yeah, they beat Loud and EG, NRG and C9 still need time with their rosters to develop so that’s Americas. Liquid, NAVI and FUT didn’t look great at Tokyo so that’s EMEA, DRX is a mess and T1 are nowhere near FNC. PRX is all that’s left at this point
@@xanman2003 DRX didnt do that bad, they got beaten by FNATIC and then PRX in Tokyo, 2 teams like you said are quite formidable. EG almost beat FNATIC in 2 games during the grand finals, and considering EG were the ones who beat PRX they were the final hope this time around.
EG did so well this time, but FNATIC was always able to bring it back. It hurts but im happy they at least got this far, the farthest theyve ever gotten
I have been waiting for another sov guides video for AGES. Ive seen so many other channels trying to emulate what youve been doing, but theyre all never as good as these! Your analysing has helped my gamesense probably double since i started watching, along with my teamwork and being able to plan out strategies for executes even in solo q. So, TYSM SOVEREIGN!
Some thinks I would have included: 1:13 -> 1. You should have added that this mid setup was put together by fanatic because they lost on split last time because they lacked mid control. 2. The smoke is not such a stupid smoke so that enemys wouldnt know rather you are innit or not but rather it is so he can hide in it while the enemies walk up. As the enemies get close enough he is already gonna unleash the trap play 3:09 1. How good it was by leo not swing with the stun because he knows ethan has to take contact eventually
what’s the point of the smoke? if it’s there to hide himself if the enemies decide to walk out then won’t the cam already see them? he was supposed to blind off the cams contract, that was the queue to start the trap.

9:51 Im pretty sure the gun did not stick out. It was just a timing thing. Derke expected Jawgemo to have already entered and cleared the smoke, and therefore peeked, assuming he would catch him off guard. We can even see Jawgemo at 9:53 taking half a second to only look straight forward into the smoke, before walking further in and clearing the corner. (thus screwing with Derke's sense of time) Its a pixel perfect smoke because it allowed Jawgemo to clear most of the smoke without being at risk from the "corner", because of the wall. The gun probably stuck out, (for Derke to see, had he not been doing the cheeky play), but not the player.
@SovereignGuides I think the omen smoke in mid on pistol is not seen by the mid players, boaster only uses it to stop the sky flash from scanning him if they send it into vent. So it could potentially work more than once. Raze hides in the actual vent to avoid the bird until he needs to get close to throw the nade. *edit oh nevermind other people said this already in the comments

The round 1 smoke isnt actually visible from mid unless u push up no? Pretty sure the smoke was supposed to be used to deny info from a skye flash. So as soon as they get false info on the flash, boaster can flash himself and they can peak with it.
the thing i dont understand was, why were they giving too much respect too cypher at attack??i personally think they should have pushed him cz everytime he was alone of only one guy with him with 2 duelists, they shld have shown some explosiveness like ppx do
