I could listen his voice 24\7! He is so handsome, charismatic, gorgeous. He is THE MAN. LAST SAMURAI would NEVER be so successful and NEVER became a legend movie WITHOUT Hiroyuki. In many points his character made the film. Not Algrin, not Katzumoto- but Ujio. The brave, loyal, calm and deep emotional Ujio. I think this is one of the best Men characters in the cinema ever. Other his interpretations I love very much are in 47 RONIN, THE REAL WAY MAN .I could watch his movies all the time... hIro is my hEro...:}}} I love him. And I always will...

Hiroyuki for me a a consummate actor. At no time during the movie did I feel he was acting...he was Samurai. I love this interview with him...it shows his great intelligence and depth of knowledge clearly even though he was speaking English as a Japanese would. Interesting that it was a halting discussion and yet for me clear and understandable. I find it easy to admire the man as I did his character in the movie. Brilliant work and I look forward to seeing him in his next venture.
Holy cow, I loved Twilight Samurai - was he also the badass guy in The Last Samurai? That can't be. That was the coolest dude in the film. I guess it would't surprise me since he was so good in Twilight Samurai
