Hey Proto I would like to question you about one of your theories. Which is, Who chose the other two starters. Well in the video you made of this you canceled out red of having Charmander. Now lets think about this is one episode Ash fights Gold ( I think they called Gold by a different name) and his Typhlosion. Now this means that Gold is in there world/dimension. In the Game Pokémon Gold/Silver you can fight Red. so with this doesn't that mean the Red is in Ashes dimension/world to? And if Red chose Charmander that also leaves Bulbasaur who was probably (I say probably because I'm not sure) chosen by Green. I doubt you will read this much less even see it but if anyone does please leave a like so he can see. Thank You and leave a reply! :D

Have a nice day
+Brolla I understand what your talking about but it was never said that the trainer your talking about chose the charmander on the desk. I don't think so anyway. But your theory is a as good as mine lol
BUT PROTOO!! Pikachu didnt know volt tackle in the indigo league!!! So he must have learned the move some other way, maybe it's a TM in a other unknown region ;)
+Pika Chi Ash's butterfree remembered him after trading it on ss anne so im pretty sure they do. You can't catch pokemons who are already catched i think.
+fidel garcia well charmander was never officially released by Damien dawn released pachirisu (not sure if I spelled that right) and told it to leave. Damien told charmander to wait for him on the Rock and that he would be back soon.
I've got the feeling that Pikachu might be from Alola, it kinda makes sense, where else did he learned how to surf? Btw, this makes his evolution Alolan Raichu.
+Nick Krolnik if you sent it from yellow to 2nd gen i belive so but never tried it myself but even still if the light ball existed in gen two volt tackle didnt
+Gamerboy3351 This is most likely because the Light Ball was not designed to teach Volt Tackle but rather it is a side effect of the Power-up ability it gives Pikachu when it holds one. Since that is its original and intended use. Much like the ever stone and other items with additional breed effects.
+Tony Cast (Prowl Nightwolf) The original intent of the light ball was to allow pikachus to create pichus when bred. In order to make a pichu, you must breed pikachus that are holding light balls. This is the purpose of the light ball. It boosts stats as an added bonus.
I think I am getting whiplash here. Is there a source for the true original use of the light ball or light bulb, whatever it was called in Gen2? I mean now the item requirement came into effect in Gen3. It doesn't make sense that Yellow Pikachu held an item to allow it to breed when transferred over to 2nd Gen games. Either it powered up Pikachu specifically or all electric type attacks.
Hey Proto. I just want to say I love what u do so much. This is a small comment just to keep you going with these theories. I'm such a fan. I watch these vids everyday and really enjoy them. Thanks for what you do :)
Good theory. Makes really sense with all the breeding and such. Makes you wonder how long professor Oak had Pikachu, and how long Pikachu was in that pokeball. A few years? A decade? Longer? No wonder he hate's pokeballs...
Ancil Cedeno a trainer goes to their local Professor, after contacting them first to say "hey, Professor __________, I'm going to choose a starter Pokemon. When should I come over?" Or something like that. Then, the child meets up with the Professor, who has three level 5 starter Pokemon of that region, one Fire type, one Grass type, and one Water type (Ex: Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle for Kanto). The new trainer chooses one, then receives a PokeDex and five more Poke Balls. If a child wants to be a trainer but does not know or live near a Professor, he or she buys at least one Poke Ball from a Poke Mart and then catches a wild Pokemon, using it as their starter.
Well the Pokemon franchise has revealed that different universes exist. Like a reality where Mega-evolution exists and a reality where it doesn't, like as we all know- Ruby & Saphire and their gen 6 remakes. And although in terms of Pikachu this wasn't possible in the original gen 2 games, it was possible in their gen 4 remakes Heartgold & Soulsilver along with sinnoh, that is in an alternate reality. This is proven true by the fact that when you fight Red on top of mount Silver in gen 2 he has a Pikachu who isn't holding a light ball because it doesn't exist or exist yet in that reality and doesn't/can't know the move Volt Tackle likely implying he's using his team based off his travels originating from Kanto, where as in the remakes however the Pikachu is holding a Light Ball and knows the move Volt Tackle suggesting that perhaps he actually bred a Pikachu in Johto the only other closest place outside of Kanto in its early points of reaching out, connecting and discovering other regions and of much easier/direct access. So you could still say it's possible that Pikachu can originate from Johto since it was later shown that it was possible there. And it is possible for the Anime since they do incorperate newer ideas that contradict previous events like Groudon and Kyogre primal evolving even though they didn't back in the Hoen Arc's when exposed to the Blue and Red Orbs, or simply switching Pokemon Like Clefairy from Normal type to Fairy type.
maybe its from alola because its close to kanto and because raichu has a alola form is the reason gamefreak didn't want the pikachu to evolve since no one saw alola raichu at the time
I disagree with your theory. there is an actual back ground to pikachu saying he had a trainer before Ash. his original trainer abused pikachu all the time. one day pikachu attacked his trainer with some electric attack and paralyzed him temporarily. pikachu tied him to a tree and came back the next day to torture him. after many attacks his owner became paralyzed again and pikachu rolled him into the lake. Unable to move, he owner drown. Then pikachu was caught by oak. That is why pikachu did not like or obey Ash at first.
But Proto i played pokemon and when i entered the grass oak ask me to stop and then suddenly oak vs pikachu and he capture pikachu and also how can you evolve pichu into pikachu when pikachu is lvl 6
I like Proto's theories but in this case i think Pikachu is from Kanto. Why? Simply because the game is different from the anime. The light ball ,if we consider the time and space logic, was not invented after the gen 1 and 2 . The light ball existed as well as the volt tackle move during the gen 1 and 2 (if we consider the time and space that exists in pokemon) . So you can't say that Pikachu in Kanto wasn't able to learn volt tackle because they implemented this move in generation 3.
your theory is wrong cuz 4 yrs fast forward to 2020 in the new pokemon journeys episode no 1 it is shown that pikachu was clearly from the kanto region and it actually evolved through sheer determination at the art of disguise because it wanted to leave the group of kangaskhans
This theory is terribly flawed, and for one simple reason. If we're basing where it came from based on moves and so on, then this means that none of the other generations could've existed nor their pokemon, when in fact they did. All pokemon created were around in the POKEMON WORLD, not the games nor the series. So, you can breed pokemon in the kanto region just as you could in later gens with said items and egg moves. When doing theories you can't base or make distinctions on generation nor from either or of the games and series. Another thing I'd like to add to prove this is with the notion that pikachu was originally a pichu that evolved that Oak decided to pass on. Tell me why then that pikachu wouldn't listen to oak? We all know that for a pichu to evolve it needs to have high happiness. (This is how it is in all aspects of pokemon.) We also know that traded pokemon don't listen well, though sometimes will. Could it be that pikachu was a pichu that Oak traded for sometime during his travels? All the other regions existed at the time the television series began, thus pikachu could've been bred in any of the regions for it's moves. But this too is redundant since pikachu didn't know the move until the move was introduced in the games. And we all know that pokemon can and have used more than four moves at a time in the series. So this is no more a theory than it is a massive plot hole created by the writing.
I think this may help to explain why Oak's Kanto pokedex wasn't nearly complete at the start of Red and Blue/Green; He had knowledge of all these other areas and was focusing on the pokemon there as well. That is, despite the fact that he never told Red about them. He only enlisted Red's help in completing the Kanto pokedex. And when Red found out that more pokemon existed, he was offended that Oak hadn't told him.
+Rom Kin It did exist in gen II, I even checked the guide to make sure. That said, if the light ball didn't exist in gen I, then how does Pikachu have it to hold when traded to gen II? Interesting paradox, since the ball can't be traded back with it.
The people at Pokémon actually created the latest season it's basically Pokémon Sword and Shield and they actually made the first episode which is called "Pichu is born" so yeah if you make an update video of Pikachu's origin that'd be great.
Hey Proto, I think you're missing something. Pichu evolves to Pikachu via happiness with the trainer. Then, Pikachu should have gained max happiness in only four levels. Quite unlikely, but still possible. The thing is that, since we should suppose that Oak and Ash's Pikachu have a strong friendship, why would Oak give Ash his Pikachu? Also, even if Pikachu was bred to have Volt Tackle, it's rather confusing to see that he doesn't learn it 'till being in Sinnoh. Perhaps it was a hidden talent to be discovered. Anyways, great job! Keep up with this excellent work!
ProtoMario, remember that episode where, Dawn was in that pokemon series, a Spiritomb had escaped and Ash first time command Pikachu to use Volt Tackle technically Pikachu used out it of nowhere. There was this old women where we viewed her flashback and we saw a trainer who commands his Pikachu to use volt tackle and then able to imprison it. Is that Ash's Pikachu the same as that trainer's pikachu? Is that trainer actually Ash's father? Is Ash's pikachu his father's pikachu? I know it may sounds far-fetched but there is a possibilty.
Remember how Oak said "I found this Pikachu nibbling on my powerline" or something? And that he didn't have time to train it? I don't think that Pikachu was Oak's from the beginning but rather that he had found it in the wild not long before Ash started his journey, he gave Ash the Pikachu simply because it was Ash's 'destiny' to have one as his starting Pokemon, because in the past Oak saw a trainer with an incredible closeness with his starter Pikachu.
BUT PROTO it's flawed logic to say that a part of the world "hadn't existed yet.' Johto existed. So did Hoenn etc. They didn't just Spring into existence after each storyline ended in the respective region. Same with breeding. It wasn't until the Kanto people interacted with Johto that they realized they could force pokemon to bang and get eggs in return. Now that's not to say that Oak didn't know that; he interacted with other regions. And maybe in the games nobody was comfortable with talking to Red about the Pidgeys and the Beedrills yet. Maybe the daycare center wasn't comfortable with having more than one pokemon at the time, because they didn't want the pokemon to bang in their home. Remember, that after GenII, the Day care centers were all located outside. And to say that the light ball didn't exist yet? That could be valid. I don't know if it's natural or man made, but it could still be somewhere. By your logic here, it would be fair to say that Arceus didn't exist yet. that it only began existing when Generation 4 came out, and somehow has always existed since. You think in plot holes and time jumps and create paradoxes while you go.
Sly_Cooper_4652 Reds Pikachu is level 88 or something. Surely, Pikachu leveled up more with it's time with Ash. It makes no sense that it could be defeated by a level 5 Snivy who's never battled before, even if it couldn't use its Electric type moves. Pikachu would've defeated that thing with one Quick Attack.
+ProtoMario i think its professor oak's spare pokemon because in the games oak said that HE IS A SERIOUS TRAINER IN THE PAST so maybe aside from the starter pokemons prof. oak still have his old pokemons
You can find Pikachu in the wild in a lot of regions. So, it could either be home-bred or imported (which would be most likely with a lot of starters).
I like to think Prof. Oak found Pikachu in the wild doing Volt Tackle, and knew that meant it was a bred pokemon, and thus caught it because he could tell it was abandoned. Pilachu having been bred and evolved from a Pichu may also explain why it is so against evolving again. If it had a trainer who abandoned it specifically because it evolved into a Pikachu, that'd really make for an angry Pikachu who'd never want to evolve again.
Hey Proto, one thing I believe would also support this theory is the fact that Pikachu doesn't take a major liking to Ash or obeys him all the time in the begging. This can be explained through the fact that Pikachu is technically a traded Pokémon, which means ash would have to receive so many gym badges before Pikachu obeys him entirely. The only thing that would combat this potential supporting detail is the fact that Pikachu would have to be at least level 20, otherwise he would obey Ash with little to no problem.
Maybe Prof.Oak took a Pikachu from Kanto to Alola and taught it Volt Tackle with the move tutor,or maybe Samson Oak had it for a while and taught it Volt Tackle from that move tutor and gave it back to Prof.Oak
This is just a tiny nit-pick, but the Light Ball WAS available in Gen 2. However, the only way you could get one was by trading a starter Pikachu from Yellow version to G/S/C. The Pikachu will arrive holding the Light Ball. It had no purposes for breeding, but it was there! :)
Im telling you rewatch pokemon 4ever youll see how oak went out of his way to get that pikachu with the unique set up. That pikachu is from the future.
I was watching and although Volt Tackle was not available in gen 2, the light ball was. When you transfer a Pikachu from first gen games it is holding the light ball.
Ho-oh is in the first episode of the Pokémon anime. Many of the 2nd gen Pokémon had already been created by gen 1, but due to file size constraints and deadlines, many Pokémon had to be cut from the original roster of 151.
hmm very Good on that theory but I have a question is a pikachu got a strong power same as super power plant can run a 100 city or just for use on a walking generator if team rocket will success to Get pikachu from ash and gives to boss Giovanni
Pikachu knowing volt tackle in the anime is because they want to show off the move the same with it knowing electroball in the black and white anime. This is why Ash and friends always have the starters for each region so they can show them off and sell more games.
Pikachu from Pokemon Yellow did in fact have a light ball, which in turn explains ash's Pikachu being OP as hell as the game was based on Ash's Kanto adventure, I only know this because in Pokemon Silver I sent over Pikachu from Yellow and as many will tell you Pikachu does carry a light ball.
When maker of the game was a kid he was given a gameboy but then he snuck out and played digital Pocket Monsters with it. When he started playing the game he got a Pikachu. But when he got tm,and a thunder stone he tried to make Pikachu evolve. Suddenly Pikachu said no. So he give Pikachu new moves that was not in the game. So he hacked it. Then he was able to beat trainers in the game. But he give up Pikachu in the pokemon daycare when he was older. Then he started to make he's own game with other creators
ashs pikachu came from the place where they rescue togepi from the exeggucute who was missing one of its eggs... from the short movie before pokemon the movie 2000, the elekid who helps the group was pikachus friend before he was ever captured, so if you wanna be technical pikachu comes from the orange islands or johto, where ever the short is set at and since there were so many pokemon from gen 2 in the short it would lead me to assume it's from johto, bulbepedia
Now we know that Volt Tackle is ALSO a tutor move for Pikachu. And thanks to the way moves work in the anime, Pikachu can learn Move Tutor moves without a move tutor.
As far as Pikachu's level goes you forgot to mention that he was very disobedient towards Ash in the first episode, which is usually a sign of having a higher level.
Volt tackle is in g/s/c... U can get the light ball in mt. Sliver from reds Pikachu by using thief. It is holding a light ball. Then u can breed a pikachu to get pichu w/ volt tackle .
Hey ProtoMario, I have a theory for you: *"Why is "Vice Grip" a Normal type Attack, and Not a Bug Type Move?"* I mean, 6 of the Pokemon that can Learn it, resemble Insects or Crustaceans. That being: Pinsir, Durant, Krabby, Kingler, Corphish, and Crawdaunt.
Theory: We all know Ash went back in time and met a younger version of Pro Oak. Growing up Oak always new that Ash was special and always planned to give Ash a special pokemon when they meet again in the future. What if Pro Oak also found out how to travel back in time and brought this Specially raised Pichu (now Pikachu) to the future purposely for Ash. This would semi explain how and why he was in a different region and also how Pikachu is so special.
Proto, i've been around since you first started out. I never liked you as a host. I liked your video topics though, and it kept me around. However, recently i realized it was just because you were new and not used to making videos (i guess). I like you dude. keep doing what youre doing :)
Proto you should do a theory on Nugget Bridge and why everyone only says "I did my best, I have no regrets." Sorta seems like they were brainwashed by that Team Rocket member at the end of the bridge.
+ProtoMario Ok, how about this? Probably others have thought of this, but I haven't seen people talking about it personally. What if Bill's machine that accidentally turned him into a pokemon, in a alternate timeline, turned into a disaster and turned everyone into pokemon, eventually everyone has been pokemon for so long that the human race has forgotten about being human or that humans ever existed, creating the mystery dungeon series.
This is a cool theory, and I see a lot of valid points. However there's *one fatal* flaw that counters this. Lets say Oak got that Volt Tackle Pichu he wanted. Based on how Pikachu was a completely prick in the starting episode, it would be impossible for Oak to even get that said Pichu to evolve into the Pikachu we all know today. The main reason would be that Pichu evolves through happiness. With Professor Oak's trouble with Pikachu, and how he described him to Ash, Pikachu's attitude wouldn't allow him to even evolve to a Pikachu if he was a Pichu owned by Oak.
+Pioxys Maybe Oak get it from a other trainer? Maybe that is the reason why Pikachu is so unhappy first. It remember his old trainer. It's only a theory, but it would explain why Pikachu know Volt Tackle, how it evolve from Pichu to Pikachu (because the first Trainer realy like it) and was so grumpy first to Ash. Oak don't want to give it to a new trainert, but he have, because it was the last left and Ash realy want a Pokemon. What do you think about my theory?
Remember that Pokemon personalities sometimes change after evolution in the anime, one example being charmander, who absolutely loved ash, evolving into charizard which didn't care much for him at the beginning.
That's my point though, while I agree with the logic of Pioxys' arguement, one thing to consider about it is the fact that pichu may have evolved into pikachu, which can change the personality. Granted a drastic change like that seems to be rare, as charizard is literally the only case I can think of, we can't say that it is impossible. Also I think the games contradict my statement, as natures in the game don't change with evolution, but that is slightly different from personality, and can only lead to an estimation of personality.
The problem is the regions are not their generations. You can breed a volt tackle Pichu in heart gold, and Red's Pikachu HAS volt tackle in its move set
where did Ash's Pikachu come from? well when a mommy Pikachu and a daddy Pikachu love each other very much---
it could have been 2 raichus
+gatorrulers a pichu and a raichu ? 0.0
+gatorrulers yeah its vagina isn't big enough
..their trainer put them into daycare and after a while, the mommy was holding an egg.. and to this day, no one knows how it ended up there!
also, it could've been a ditto and pikachu too
"At one point in the anime, Generation 2 never existed."
That must be why Ho-oh is literally in the very first episode, huh?
+Xaldyn Nemo These theories are getting worse.
He also said that Ho-oh was cut from gen 1 and placed in gen 2 (along with ~40 other pokémon), technically speaking Ho-oh is from gen 1 and thus you are wrong, just saying
Kevin Scheele Ho-oh is in the first episode, thus I am not, in fact, wrong. Just saying.
+Xaldyn Nemo Without getting into a Troll war, the Pokémon of Gen2 were not thought of back when Gen1 first started, therefore Ho-oh being originally a Gen1 Pokémon, Thus in the first Episode is accurate. Now that was well said man.
Hmm...why doesn't Pikachu recognize Sinnoh? Could it be because like human babies, baby Pokemon cannot remember things as well? Also, Pichu evolves with love, is it possible that Pikachu hated Ash the 1st time they met because Pikachu loved Oak more?
I'm mad late but it's possible he got the egg in sinnoh but it hatched in Kanto, or he learned breeding in sinnoh but has a place for it in Kanto
I like your theory. The only problem is that in Pokemon Yellow we see Prof Oak capture the Pikachu that he ultimately gives you and as far as i'm concerned. Discounting hacked games. Pokemon Yellow is the closest game canon to the show.

Onizuma13 The game is completely non canon to the anime.
ye and gary takes the other cool pokemon which is eevee the asshole
Pikachu is the starter
Pikachu as thunderbolt, its a high level move. He also does not obey ash, because you need more badges to get high level pokemons to obey you.
As a person in 2024 i can confirm that pikachu is from kanto because in jorneys episode 1 it shows us the back story if pikachu in the kanto region (pikachu was a pichu)

thx!
That explains how pikachu was able to use that thunder armor with swellow against solrock and lunatone
well thanks to the new anime pikachu was a pichu that used to be raised by a kangaskhan and then eventually evolved into a pikachu.
BUT PROTOO!! Pikachu didnt know volt tackle in the indigo league!!! So he must have learned the move some other way, maybe it's a TM in a other unknown region ;)
AhahmasterLink Gaming
Please make this theory:
Can released pokémon still recognize their original trainer after being caught by a new one?
Makes sense, kinda like when you release a Pokemon in the game and it will sometimes comeback instead of being cleared from your boxes
+Pika Chi Ash's butterfree remembered him after trading it on ss anne so im pretty sure they do. You can't catch pokemons who are already catched i think.
Yea I think they can remember Charmander recognized his old trainer
+fidel garcia That was before Ash put him in the pokeball, though.
But Proto in pokemon yellow if u trade over the pikachu u get at as your starter it will hold the light ball
+Megalus Doomslayer No, that's not true. All Pikachus in gen 2 purely made Pichus. It was gen 3 that introduced item held requirements for breeding.
Have you watched episode 1 of the Pokémon journeys anime
This video was made on 2015 which when Gen 8 wasn't out so he was not able to at the time
How did the pichu evolve and still be lvl 5 when given to ash????
pokemon hatched from eggs are lvl 1
how does pichu evolve to pikachu
Thunderstone
Pichu evolves to Pikachu through friendship as Leah Montgomery said and Pikachu evolves to Raichu using a Thunderstone.
Adriansito Chikito no
If your saying that oak first trained pikachu, pikachu doesn't seem to have much experience of training before ash jumps in.
Oak Drugged Pikachu And Gave It To Ash To Hold All His Drugs
You Made me laugh
Good theory. Makes really sense with all the breeding and such. Makes you wonder how long professor Oak had Pikachu, and how long Pikachu was in that pokeball. A few years? A decade? Longer? No wonder he hate's pokeballs...
true
oh my childhood
+Dyelahn Well, at least Ash doesn't forse him into it's pokeball.
+The Amazing Grays I was actually going to make a point of that.
Now we know pikachu was raised by a Kangaskhan
how are starter Pokemon choosen
Ancil Cedeno What?
Ancil Cedeno by picking the starter
A 10 year old child goes to a professor’s lab then take a pokéball and runs. Then they steal somebody’s Pokédex and Pokéballs. Jk.
Hi there! :D Hi he ment why those pokemon squitle bulbasaur etc and why not vileplume vaporeon etc
VOLT TACKLE was Forgoten by ELECRO BALL
maybe its from alola because its close to kanto and because raichu has a alola form is the reason gamefreak didn't want the pikachu to evolve since no one saw alola raichu at the time
I disagree with your theory. there is an actual back ground to pikachu saying he had a trainer before Ash. his original trainer abused pikachu all the time. one day pikachu attacked his trainer with some electric attack and paralyzed him temporarily. pikachu tied him to a tree and came back the next day to torture him. after many attacks his owner became paralyzed again and pikachu rolled him into the lake. Unable to move, he owner drown. Then pikachu was caught by oak. That is why pikachu did not like or obey Ash at first.
Hardcore where did you hear that
But Proto i played pokemon and when i entered the grass oak ask me to stop and then suddenly oak vs pikachu and he capture pikachu and also how can you evolve pichu into pikachu when pikachu is lvl 6
+Protomario
I have a question, what could of happen to the PMC?
Is Hunter Jay really dead?
Hoho was never cut off
Just to say I watch on a app called pokemon TV. He is still in there!
your theory is wrong cuz 4 yrs fast forward to 2020 in the new pokemon journeys episode no 1 it is shown that pikachu was clearly from the kanto region and it actually evolved through sheer determination at the art of disguise because it wanted to leave the group of kangaskhans
And when Red found out that more pokemon existed, he was offended that Oak hadn't told him.
trade yellow version pikachu it is holding light ball. this detail is enough for a part 2 for this theory
+SICK JOEL what do you mean by that, if you transfer yellow pikachu's to gen2 it will be holding light ball?
+Brian Silva It shouldn't as Light Ball didn't exist in Gen II.
+Rom Kin
It did exist in gen II, I even checked the guide to make sure.
That said, if the light ball didn't exist in gen I, then how does Pikachu have it to hold when traded to gen II? Interesting paradox, since the ball can't be traded back with it.
ZombieBarioth Weird cause when I traded my pikachu from yellow I didn't get it. :L Though somehow I did manage to get an exp all in gen 2
Rom Kin
Are you sure it was the one you start with, cause its supposed to always have one.
Not sure if normal ones could have one or not back then.
The people at Pokémon actually created the latest season it's basically Pokémon Sword and Shield and they actually made the first episode which is called "Pichu is born" so yeah if you make an update video of Pikachu's origin that'd be great.
Who is here after the swsh anime
Everyone after your comment ¬_¬
Hey Proto,
I think you're missing something.
WHOA WHOA WAIT Pikachu evolves from Pichu?!?!?!?
Mm, Hm
Much flimsy, many holes, bad theory. Totally protomario material. Half-assed research-less crap.
BUT PROTO it's flawed logic to say that a part of the world "hadn't existed yet.'
Johto existed.
Jaidon Kaia “the pidgeys and the bedrills” ahhahaha that made my day
PROTO!!! THAT WAS REDS PIKACHU!!!!
XDXDXDXDXD LOL NOT EVEN CLOSE TO TRUE
Sly_Cooper_4652 Reds Pikachu is level 88 or something. Surely, Pikachu leveled up more with it's time with Ash. It makes no sense that it could be defeated by a level 5 Snivy who's never battled before, even if it couldn't use its Electric type moves. Pikachu would've defeated that thing with one Quick Attack.
...!?!
Sly_Cooper_4652 No On the games red still has his pika pika lol
Hi there! :D Hi talking about the games bc you play as red plus red had to level up his Pikachu too tho
+ProtoMario i think its professor oak's spare pokemon because in the games oak said that HE IS A SERIOUS TRAINER IN THE PAST so maybe aside from the starter pokemons prof. oak still have his old pokemons
But Proto! I think your "But proto" remarks are the most annoying segment of any video.
Xepthrichros But Xepthrichros! It's his catchphrase! Don't be a dipstick!
Sraye really? cuz I love em
Love your pokemon theories, plz keep making more!
pikachu didnt learn volt tackle in gen 1 or gen 2..................... PLOT HOLE
OHHHHHHHHHHHHH
He stated in the video that Volt Tackle is a Generation 3 move.
Swalot on the background °3°
+Shiny Swalot Fuck You! Swalot is Crap so Fuck off!
+im a Wolf! swalot is love swalot is life
+Shiny Swalot swalot we love you
Ishaan Baath yass
+Shiny Swalot we all love you
You can find Pikachu in the wild in a lot of regions. So, it could either be home-bred or imported (which would be most likely with a lot of starters).
I think it's dumb to use game mechanics to explain the anime.
All of ur vids are intersting!! Keep them coming!
Ashes pikachu came from Oak
Lol
calix Lor we know
NO WAAAAAAAY
I like to think Prof. Oak found Pikachu in the wild doing Volt Tackle, and knew that meant it was a bred pokemon, and thus caught it because he could tell it was abandoned.
Pilachu having been bred and evolved from a Pichu may also explain why it is so against evolving again. If it had a trainer who abandoned it specifically because it evolved into a Pikachu, that'd really make for an angry Pikachu who'd never want to evolve again.
You didn't get that like
What a big man you are, you really showed me.
+ProtoMario But Proto!
_
ProtoMario Proto you're so cute in the comment sections. XD
Thisisalongusernameaverylongoneandnonsensereadthis that name though
I just noticed in the wall of sprites in the back round, slaking's sprite is picking it's nose
Another awful theory proto
Conrad Fincher I meant to put a ? On the end. Typo.
Hi there! :D Hi You don't have to be a chef to know what shit tastes like
pikachu used thunder the day he was given to ash lol
Hey Proto, one thing I believe would also support this theory is the fact that Pikachu doesn't take a major liking to Ash or obeys him all the time in the begging. This can be explained through the fact that Pikachu is technically a traded Pokémon, which means ash would have to receive so many gym badges before Pikachu obeys him entirely. The only thing that would combat this potential supporting detail is the fact that Pikachu would have to be at least level 20, otherwise he would obey Ash with little to no problem.
where is the video about the mystery person in kraids layer...
I can safely say that pikachu is in fact from the Kanto region. And was raised by a mother Kangaskan.
Technically pichu is form johoto
@@zade8726 wrong Pichu was introduced in Johto but exists in the world before that lore wise
Maybe Prof.Oak took a Pikachu from Kanto to Alola and taught it Volt Tackle with the move tutor,or maybe Samson Oak had it for a while and taught it Volt Tackle from that move tutor and gave it back to Prof.Oak
CAN i ask you question umm i think its about the legendary pokemon why legendary pokemon groudon and rayquaza and more are hard to find :/?
The 1st episode of Pokemon journeys shows us
You need to remember that pikachu was caught by oak chewing on electric cables, and was tormented by a Raichu when he was younger
5 years later journeys series ash Pikachu was a pichu
This is just a tiny nit-pick, but the Light Ball WAS available in Gen 2. However, the only way you could get one was by trading a starter Pikachu from Yellow version to G/S/C. The Pikachu will arrive holding the Light Ball. It had no purposes for breeding, but it was there! :)
But Proto! How do we know how old pokemon are mabby if we know that it will help u figuer out where pikachu came from?
Im telling you rewatch pokemon 4ever youll see how oak went out of his way to get that pikachu with the unique set up. That pikachu is from the future.
I was watching and although Volt Tackle was not available in gen 2, the light ball was. When you transfer a Pikachu from first gen games it is holding the light ball.
+ProtoMario Pikachu Learned Volt Tackle in Pokemon^Battle Frontier "May's Egg-Cellent Adventure".
Ho-oh is in the first episode of the Pokémon anime. Many of the 2nd gen Pokémon had already been created by gen 1, but due to file size constraints and deadlines, many Pokémon had to be cut from the original roster of 151.
hmm very Good on that theory but I have a question
is a pikachu got a strong power same as super power plant can run a 100 city or just for use on a walking generator if team rocket will success to Get pikachu from ash and gives to boss Giovanni
This makes complete sense, I never noticed that until you mentioned it. I know Red probably bred his, but, Ash definitely has a special Pikachu.
I fell asleep at "Stay subscribed as I
I actually love this theory. The idea of a sinnoh bred pikachu just sounds badass
I wana know what happened to the black and white protagonist did he die or somthing?
+AQ Sniper the all reday what happen in b2 w2 they said he wan t looking for n
But in hoenn region too my pikachu has been learned a volt tackle but i don't seen some pichu before
i named my pikachu Bolt.
ashs pikachu came from the place where they rescue togepi from the exeggucute who was missing one of its eggs... from the short movie before pokemon the movie 2000, the elekid who helps the group was pikachus friend before he was ever captured, so if you wanna be technical pikachu comes from the orange islands or johto, where ever the short is set at and since there were so many pokemon from gen 2 in the short it would lead me to assume it's from johto, bulbepedia
Now we know that Volt Tackle is ALSO a tutor move for Pikachu. And thanks to the way moves work in the anime, Pikachu can learn Move Tutor moves without a move tutor.
Ash's pikachu is his dad that somehow turned into a pokemon and this theory is so random that it just came into my head.
What about the Sevii islands they aren't a part of Kanto, they were introduced in gen 3, and there's a Pokemon breeder?
As far as Pikachu's level goes you forgot to mention that he was very disobedient towards Ash in the first episode, which is usually a sign of having a higher level.
Volt tackle is in g/s/c... U can get the light ball in mt. Sliver from reds Pikachu by using thief. It is holding a light ball. Then u can breed a pikachu to get pichu w/ volt tackle .
Hey ProtoMario, I have a theory for you:
*"Why is "Vice Grip" a Normal type Attack, and Not a Bug Type Move?"*
I mean, 6 of the Pokemon that can Learn it, resemble Insects or Crustaceans. That being: Pinsir, Durant, Krabby, Kingler, Corphish, and Crawdaunt.
+Nine_Tails137 Good question, it's a gen 1 move, a non unique one so probably they forgot to change it later.
ProtoMario
Will you ever do a Video about that?
Also, thanks for the Reply. :)
Hey proto I just subscribed but I have a question did the real form into the pokemon world?
This is pretty sweet, I approve and it actually does make a lot of sense even if sinnon was thought up later. Great theory!
hey proto i would like to know about who created the gs ball
UnsoundShinobi I think that was because of the evolution (he becomes a teeny ;-) )
so he become rebellious.
