Grandmas cut came out FIERCE AND FABULOUS with those sharp cut lines!!! ♥️👏👏👏
I've done the "butterfly"/"wolf cut" thing and it turned out good. I made smaller sections and shaped it up after I took it down.
I've been cutting my hair for years though. Maybe that's why it turned out fine.
Same for me! It’s lovely to read positive responses about it 🥰 as with all the people doing it wrongly it’s getting a bad rep! I dared not admit I use that technique 😅 But it does work every time for me as well. People need to take on board what he says, always cut long, slowly until the length wanted is achieved, and always always SMALL SECTIONS. It’s such a simple technique I don’t understand how so many get it wrong 🤷🏻♀️🍪☕️🥛xxx
That butterfly haircut method is an evil nightmare 🤣 I don’t know how people don’t understand that. Not everything you see online is as it seems. You know most of these people had a professional fix their mistakes whenever you see a cut edit and a new fantastic result. People can be so gullible 😩
I used to always go to professionals and more than half the time they didn't do what I wanted. I did the butterfly cut and it looks amazing. My favorite ever. But what some people don't do is blend it after the two cuts. You have to do this or it could look choppy and crazy. Or they cut too much. You have to cut the same amount on each ponytail and do a little at a time. I'm obsessed with how mine turned out. Not everyone has money to go to a professional or they don't trust them for valid reasons. No point in making people feel bad for that.
I did it and then shaped it up a little. I didn't do big sections though. I've layered my hair myself for years. Maybe that's why it worked for me. It takes a little common sense.
@@yerichu I cut my own hair too and have done for 30 years but I’m not a professional stylist, so you’re preaching to the choir. The fact still remains this is too an intricate a haircut to do properly on your own, it’s not the same as simply trimming your own hair at home to save length because professional stylists are often too scissor happy. This is meant for people that know their way around scissors, but it’s rarely those doing this online. Many of those same people after messing their hair up badly do go to a professional to have it corrected - but don’t tell their viewers that. They’re lying, it’s fraudulent. It gives people the mistaken idea that they too can do it at home on themselves. But they’re being lied to by influencers dishonesty.
@@lostineggsaisle Yes! If you know your way around a pair of scissors and understand how to cut layers on yourself, this is cut still a bit difficult but manageable.
It's just a revived technique from the 70's
I love how much you love gray hair. My mother dyed her hair for many many years and one day she went to the hairdresser and said "I've finally worked out what colour I want my hair to be for the rest of my life!". When asked for a reference she pointed to her outgrown roots. So many people look great in gray, and far too many people are scared of it!
BEAUTIFUL woman with her snow white short cut and lines. She looks amazing.
THIS is why I love you so much! To be just as shocked as we are that something that shouldn’t have worked out…..somehow did. “HUH!! THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!!! THIS IS VERY, VERY BEAUTIFUL!”
You make my heart happy, friend. ❤
I've been talking myself up for weeks to cut bangs and after watching this I have lost ALL confidence 🤣🤣🤣
🎉🎉🎉 hair Buddha makes us all smile, one failed attempt at a time lol. The successes look bomb too.
My daughter has been in school for almost 2 years and is about to graduate and I just let her cut my hair for the first time! My hair was touching the top of my butt lol now it is layered and face framed and boob length! I'm so proud of her! She works part time at a salon and part time at a chicken restaurant so she complains she always smells like bleach or grease😂
Oh my God !! That's so sweet !
What a good mom you are !!!
Congratulations to your daughter! She sounds like a star ready to shine ✨
You have a wonderful daughter ☺️ you must be so proud and rightly so ☺️🍪☕️🥛xxx
My Monday morning relief has arrived! Thank you, Hair Buddha. I hope you and my internet friends have a good day. 🌞❤️🌈
Yo, the girl in the tie-dye shirt with the butterfly cut turned herself into Deb a 55 year old manager at a bank with a cat named Mr sassy pants. That hair cut killed me! 😂😂😂
You called it
I've never seen black toner used before 😮 Going by Hair Buddha's warnings it's very risky and absolutely should be done by a professional, but it's so striking and gorgeous when done properly 😍
The butterfly cut is the best thing I've ever done to my long, fine, wavy hair. Not everyone can afford to see a stylist or they don't trust them for valid reasons. I've had professionals mess up my hair more times than not. The butterfly cut became popular through covid where we couldn't go anywhere for a cut.
Doing a cut yourself will always have its risks. Obviously there is professionals for a reason. And some really talented ones at that. But again, not everyone can afford that or even has a salon near them. So if you cut your own hair it WILL be a risk regardless. (Tips I've learned from professionals, I dont claim to be one;) Tip 1: Cut the same amount on each ponytail and go a little at time. You can always cut more but you can never put hair back. Tip 2: You have to blend the front framing pieces after you're done with the ponytails or it can look choppy. Tip 3: Use appropriate scissors.
I understand why professionals don't like this cut but for some it works amazing if done correctly and no one should feel bad or shamed for doing it if that's what they like/want to do ❤
I love mine too! I do have wavy hair though.
I absolutely agree
I agree with what you have said as well
I did a diy 2x ponytails disaster during the c time
I have never stood on ceremony with my hair so it's never bothered me about its length etc
And now the 🦋 is in I used it to have a trm
Cutting hair in ponytails is a terrible technique it works for you because your hair is fine. For everyone else it is too easy to mess up.
@@marylincherie1806 mines wavy too 🙂
1:10 New technique.😂😂😂😂6:50 Awesome. 7:50 Ugly haircut.😂
My mom used to tell me when my hair was snarly that it was like a bird’s nest….but I don’t think that was what she meant.
3:09 doesn’t look too bad. It’s really kinda cute when she fluffs and plays with it a little. Plus it will grow out 😊
Happy Monday HB! That was interesting! Many happy people! Even banana woman was happy! 😅 🍌
Thanks Hair Buddha! You Just Made My Monday Less Blue😂😃😁Have a blessed week!✂
Lol... That bird reaction was the best
Hairbuddha's face😂😂
Mouth wide open
Girl: do you see it
HB: ya I see it
I really love the energy of the lady in a pink dress. Melts my heart
The purple blue at 623 looks fantastic.
My first thought about the girl at 7:50 was that her hair looked like a really ripe banana 😂. I don’t know whether to be proud or sad that I was right hahaha
Hubby and I love watching you, Hair Budda!❤
The green tips, blue & purple, rainbow and gray coloring parts are beautiful. The red was a fantastic save. The banana might be fun if I was planning to cut it all off. ;)
I love the rainbow colours. Thank you for the laugh hair Budda. Your laughter always makes my day. Its very contagious 😂
I don't think I've ever left a hairdresser with a smile on my face. ☹️
I've always had a fringe (bangs) and they never and I mean NEVER manage to blow dry it right. It's always flat to my head and has no shape. I just end up going home and doing it myself 🤷🏼♀️
That‘s why I do my bangs for myself for years now.
Don‘t want to pay for disappointments….
Regular henna is great at covering grey hair. Ofc it's a commitment, but the coverage is bomb.
Butterfly haircut is possible to do but with 1 high ponytail not 2. I did it recently cause after i asked for a lot of layers i got barely any at the bottom so i didn't have other choice. It turned out the way i wanted (i did have to fix front a bit tho)
Henna can cover grey hair completely and permanently. It does have to sit longer though, like 6 hours minimum. xD
No it doesn’t need to się gór 6 yours, 4 is enough
The girl at 3mins reminds me of the hair you put on a lego guy 😂😂😂
My daughter made me to the butterfly cut on her, but it turned out nice because her hair is super long and I only cute like 5 inches off
I know how the slime parents feel. My son slimed his hair. When i tried to wash it I only made it grow. He ended up with summer buzz cut.
Why?
Oil or vinegar will get it out
At least try.
I've been there I used dawn dish soap and as hot of water as my daughter could handle. It came out but it took a couple repeat washes.
The black toner was amazing!
Have always said if I could go grey overnight I’d be happy to … you never know 😊
I love hair buddha
9:15 very cool color 🙌🏻
Henna is hard to get out of your hair and you have to be really careful if you use other dyes over it. Your hair can literally catch on fire.
I believe my mom used it to hide her white strands.
And yeah, I didn't know we couldn't mixed the too.
I think a lot of people don't know or learn at their expenses.
Not true 😄 you can dye with henna and then dye over it. If you use henna and not mix of herbs (with indigo which bleached gives green patches). Henna connects with ceratine in hair and is stronger than hair dyes
@@ilonarozalska3269i think she mean the shitty henna with chemikal in it! with 100% natural henna it should be fine! oh boy... once i bought henna from a drugstore and i didnt look at the ingridiends. After 1 year i decide to go to a hairdresser to light up my hair! she know that i put henna in it but not the 100% henna! yeha... it was a fucking mess!
Henna can be dyed over but never bleached out.
Indigo will turn green.
Hair budda I adore u an accent.. reminds me of my oma x
Please if are gettin bored of commenting on at home mishasps please do more videos on how to do. Iam lucky my sister is a stylist but not all can afford one.
Much luvvvv from Australia x
Love the last clip...the bird in hair🥰
😂 wait till the end!😂
🤣
The rainbow hair looks really nice, I love watching these hair videos so entertaining
That first vid, She’s beautiful and her accent is so cute ❤
I am loving this channel. I wish you could do something with my hair!
I’m pretty sure that they are also applying filters to the after videos, that’s part of why grandma looks younger.
1:20 😂
What was that black toner? I've not ever heard of it before! What would it do if it was put on many tones of grey hair? Her hair turned out wonderfully!
3:35 cut it all off and start over. Spoke too soon! I love it beautiful ❤
11:08 I can see inside your head...trying to find the perfect customer who would be willing to try it😂❤❤❤ I hope you find one! We would love to see
Yea yea yea yea yeaaaa cut it like thattttt 😂❤
Butterfly cut - not true. I followed Brad Mondo's tutorial to the letter. It came out perfect. I went to my hair dresser and had her look it over. She said it was perfect! I will be the only one cutting my hair from now on. But the trick is, you HAVE TO FOLLOW Brad Mondo's directions!
I went to a hairdresser the other week, cos in a week I have a wedding to visite. I only wanted a trim. I told her, only 2cm. She cut more and she wasn't even able to cut it straight. Cos she sprayed the ends before even combing it. My hair is really thin. So yes...I got all kinds of lines, when I only wanted a trim. So now I can't wear my hair open, but I am forced to do some hairdo that I can not do.
Doing things on my own head...always fails
My parrot is forever sitting on my head😂
💜🥰🤩🤗
11:03 That is my favorite, absolutely beautiful❣
I do the butter fly cut on my long hair and people always tell how beautiful it is
3:52 Beautiful before and after love the color too
11:20 Awwwww so cute 🥰
Love this ❤
That red colour at 04:00 is 🔥
Bwaaaahahahaha can only say, special VERY special!!
hair styling, cutting and dyeing, much like most professions people need on their day to day lives, are skills that result from hard work, practice and study. and much like anything that needs all that effort to learn... there's no quick an easy cheat around it
I'm just starting the curly girl method and was wondering if you've ever done a video on it or would you? Any help would be great 😊
Wonderful!
Butterfly cut is an easy way to freshen layers, but those that fail at it go about it in a lazy and mindless way.
@ hair Buddha, can I put henna on individual gray hairs? I don't want to pluck them.
I use a cap all the time to put highlights in my hair. It works for me because I have curly hair!! I love using a cap, it's so easy!!
This is amazing results
The most successful hair cut I did was to call and make an appointment with my hairdresser.
❤ not sure if you are anywhere in the vicinity of Oklahoma or Texas. There's some you tuber dog groomers
Girl : Can you see this?
Expert: yeah I see it..
I love watching You videos ❤ can I have a job at your saloon ?
@Hair Buddha, I was wondering if you could confirm something for me please☺️? I am embracing my grey/white hair but still have some box die from before ( my hair is long and I don’t want to cut it ) a hairdresser just told me that to remove the permanent box die it would take 6 months of salon appointments for treatments. Is that true? In a way it sounds good as it means the procedure won’t be done in one go and damage my hair, but I would feel happier with the words of our beloved Hair Buddha ☺️Many thanks to you and anyone else who would like to answer 🙏 cookies and a hot drink to all that read this far 😘🍪☕️🥛 xxx
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣✨✨👍
That was NOT henna, it was cassia, different kind of herb which gives different results - it is not orange, more golden toned
First time I hear a hairdresser say he loves henna. I think that was cassia, that's why it's blonde, Cassia is the blonde cousin of henna
I'm in such a need for a new cut/style. I've already went from natural blonde to dark, trying to go back blonde. Now I need a new style
The end was hilarious
The black toner amazing
For the point cutting, what angle should I use? 45? 90?
Cut straight in, perpendicular to the hair. You can go at a slight angle if you want it to look a little choppier.
The woman with the tie dye shirt on looks like Valerie Bertinelli
I have long hair even during COVID when hair dressers were closed . I left my grown out hair style and blonde highlights well alone. I knew if I added a blonde or brown dye over my hair it would probably go green due to box dye never coming out like the box. No thank you… There’s a reason why my hairdresser is expensive they do a professional job.
1:03 Maybe he needed a bigger pair of scissors.
I never cut my own hair. Thanks to hair Buddha I attacked the sides cos of grey hairs 😁 . I blame hair fails on UA-cam 😁 I only colour my own hair with Box dyes to save money.
2:45 she kinda have a look though...as long as it stays so high like in the 90s😂 blowout from hell
That's not a good combination💯👍 Massive understatement😮
When I do IT be myself... I'm lucky cause I have 3 Mirrors..... It's Easy..... No ???? Bisouxxxx M.Buddha
Am going to be honest I did the butterfly cut and it’s recked my hair 😅
I am 60 and have henna'd my hair for years. It is dark auburn and very long.
I think People no matter what age should try new things and see how they work out. The Woman at 7:00 looks so great with the hairstyle she got. :D
I agree
I've never been good with my hair. It's why I wear it short. Professionally cut, of course.
6:06 ❤️🫦❤️ 6:23
😂😂😂
This is what happens when they be watching videos on UA-cam.. lol 😅😅 dito
I will be so happy when you or someone can recommend gluten free hair products that work, for those of us who have Celiac, and products for dry, frizzy, naturally greying hair.
Why are you eating your hair products...?
Short haired people CANNOT do the butterfly cut....
I find your channel. I like your channel. 👍
I cringe watching all those people straitening that ladies hair. Multiple flat irons multiple passes moving too quickly over and over. One pass is enough slowly if you know what your doing. If I’m a betting girl that ladies hair was probably wavy to begin with not curly or kinky. I predict her hair breaking off in no time.
Wash with vinegar stays vibrant throughout
I have really boring long hair but after watching so many fails I am not touching it. At least it's healthy and doesn't fall out 😳
But maybe she was a happy chicken...
Omg
4:41 ❤️👄❤️
