I photographed the SOLAR ECLIPSE for the first time in my life - it wasn't easy

- Photographing the sun is not easy. And with the added pressure of the eclipse I had many challenges to overcome. See how I did that here where I also point out some important things to consider when trying to photograph a solar eclipse.

Perfect! Going to use this for the eclipse coming up in US. Great videos BTW!
Great job for a last minute solar filter delivery and so many clouds! I was lucky enough to have nice weather, so I could shoot the entirety of the partial eclipse for a timelapse, which is on my channel as well. Baader also sells a sort of DIY kit, which is slightly easier than what you did; you basically cut out the correct diameter from their cardboard guide and sandwich the filter. It can be adapted for all sizes of telescopes/lenses which worked well for my Samyang 135.
I managed to capture the eclipse with an Sigma 150-600mm objective + 1.4x teleconverter + a chep ND5 solar foil-filter on a simple tripod. I'm happy with the results considering the fact that first time i had the oportunity to try. (also the weather it was ok. sometimes the clouds covered the sun , but oweral it was clear sky). Thx for sharing your experience.
Glad you managed to do it as well!
I did exactly the same, with same gears for a partial eclipse in 2017, from Panamá… the result is just amazing !
Good stuff, I’m to nervous to shoot the sun and it was snowing for the November 8 moon shot. I just picked up a moon filter so I’ll focus on that very soon. Cheers
Hej Kamil mam pytanie. Jak ustawić equatorial mount żeby śledzić słońce? Mam Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer GTi i planuje w kwietniu przyszłego roku jechać do Dallas oglądać/ fotografować całkowite zaćmienie słońca.
In Turkish language, KAMiL means EXCELLENT and PEKALA means NOT INFERIOR. You must visit Turkey, Kamil.... Especially visit Melikler Yaylasi that is the darkest spot...
At least yoi where able to capture anything. I got a bad stomach bug, and wasn't able to go out and image it.
I planned a very simple setup: SA 2i tracker on it with Tamron 150-600 G2, D850, with a Hoya Pro ND100000 it's about the same ND5. Not the best reach but the biggest sunspot is still can be seen. Will maybe get a TC for the next time. 2026 and 2027 will be total solar eclipse in Europe.
Alright so I have 4 years to get myself a Lunt solar scope! Too bad you were’t able to execute your plan - better luck next time!
@@kamilkp Thank you! Yes, I will definitely pack for those two events. You also need to transport throes to Spain in the next two occasion.
