I use a Wittner side-mounted rest with a Gel-pad on viola and find it a great combination.

Hello po! May itatanong lang po ako sana po mapansin. Kapag po binobow ko yung 2nd note sa A at E string nagiging scratchy po yung tunog. Tama naman po ang technique at bow holding at pressure na ginagawa ko. Kapag sa 1st and 3rd note ng parehas na string hindi naman po ganun tunog. Ano po kaya problema?

if tama po ang hold and pressure, check the speed and yung part ng bow na ginagamit mo. usually scratchy sa may frog. i am guessing na kung 1st and third note, sa 2nd different stroke na para mag alternate, try mo baligtarin or increase the speed, or dun ka sa tip. kapag ayaw pa rin send ka ng video sakin

i think, regardless if you play alone or in a group, you have to be comfortable when holding your violin upright. there should not bw any tension anywhere in your body and you should be able to move your hands freely, no restrictions

prince joe yes. anything that touches your violin will potentially affect its sound. either make it better, or dampen the vibrations produced. the quality of how it would affect the sound depends on where you put it.

yes po.tip? hand carry. wag mo aalisin sa paningin mo lalo na kung mejo pricey. invest sa maayos and lightweight na case. they will always check your violin, make sure na violin bow and ung kelangan lang ang andun wag ka na maglagay ng kung ano anong accessories para d matagal ang pagcheck saka mga electrical wirings wag na icheck in mo nalang un
