+Lego Jackman, Serkis confirming it isn't worth anything. As they said in the video, J.J. Abrams is known to straight out lie about the plots and characters in his movies to avoid spoilers.
I am one of the advocates that believe Rey is Anakin reincarnated. It is more fresh than the whole "Skywalker abandoned" plot-line like the original trilogy. And it keeps the whole "Skywalker chosen one" theme continuing.
+gutz1981 this is the most likely theory! The entirety of star wars and the jedi religion concerning the force follows from eastern religions such as Tibetan Buddhism, consciousness being the force, ying and yang being the light and dark side and reincarnation being a big part in many eastern religions. With this is mind Rey being a reincarnation of Anakin is VERY likely
+gutz1981 most interesting. i can only offer name insights. anakin = a no kin, anakim (hebrew: giant children of fallen angels). this means he was of first generation of his kind. a one and only. child of the force itself. chosen one? yes. definitely. rey is from latin rex, meaning king. king can be a chosen one but can also by bloodline. ps. no doubt that her last name is skywalker though. but is she tied by blood or by some other things, not sure.
Episode 8 is undergoing rewrites. So they could be encorporating the theory. It's a popular one that most people want to be true so I can see it happening.
I've watched hours worth of star wars theory's on my second monitor as I play games on the other. If Rey is Luke's daughter, then he broke the Jedi Code. The ship that left her on Jaku is almost identical to the ship Leia lands at Maz's castle. She is born from the force to bring balance after the Jedi training program was destroyed. I want to remind you that Dark Side users aren't always sith. Since Snoke is Supreme Leader, and Kylo isn't a Darth, the sith order is confirmed dead, as if that wern't already clear from Epi 6. One big theory of Snoke was left out. The guy who plays Snoke (I think his name is Andy Circus or something) said Snoke is a new character. I think he is a Jedi that survived Order 66, but was badly injured and went into hiding like Obi Wan and Yoda. Whilst hiding, he discovered the powers of the dark side, but soon after Vader and Palpatine died, and he waited for a strong Padawan to influenced him to start the first order, Kylo. Also, Finn was shown in Before the Awakening to be very diff rent to the other storm troopers. He heard screams when the Star Destroyer blew shit up. Obi Wan said in epi 4, "It was like a 1,000 screams all at once, then silence." Finn will go in training with Rey to be a Jedi, but Rey will be much stronger. After all, he did land a strike on Kylo, a proved force user. He was a great storm tropper and all in the book, but Kylo can predict strikes and feel whats gonna happen with the force, like when Luke did that to the ball on the Falcon in epi 4
My favorite theory revolves around cloning technology. Go back to The Phantom Menace. In my theory, Anakin is actually a clone of Palpatine, who instead of using more advanced technology, had his clone placed in the womb of a human (Shmi Skywalker) and then used The Force to remove her memories of the events leading to her impregnation. She was sold to Jabba so the child would be born and raised on Tatooine, a harsh environment and potential forge to make a stronger individual, should he survive. Moving forward to The Force Awakens, we have Rey, who's origin is a mystery. In actuality, she is a clone of Luke Skywalker, using material from the hand recovered from Bespin. This clone was developed in secret as an attempt to make a backup hero for the Alliance should Luke fall, either in battle or to The Dark Side. Why is she female when Luke is male? We'll borrow a line from Jurassic Park for that and presume she was denied certain proteins during the cloning process. Maybe the director of the project wanted to create a clone that could give birth naturally as another stage in the process. Again, at a young age, the child is left on a harsh planet, in order to forge a mighty warrior like the generations before. Yeah, yeah, there's plenty of problems with this theory, but no more than with many of the plots from the other Star Wars movies, so for now, it's good enough for me (and my gaming group).
Ikr holy shit! I know a lot about Star Wars though and damn that's one thing I know the most about! I'd like to get to know Rey more if you know what I mean...
+Khristophoros1001 Also the recent expansion pack to TOR "Knights of the Fallen Empire" was commissioned by Disney -Lucasfilm, to change Malgus' fate and have him frozen in carbonite. The perfect time machine.
+Khristophoros1001 You're reading too much into the defjnition of "canon". Anything in Legends Canon is available to the writers and it's knly when they overwrite it becomes redundant. Of course mainstream fans don't know who he is. Whether Snoke is an established character or not, his past will still have to be explained. You don't get someone as old as he is, with as much power in the force, with a seemingly infinite supply of resources and not delve into his back story. If his story has been explained elsewhere, then the writers can skip a fuckload of dialogue and get on with the movie. Don't say "but it's not canon".. like I said, neither was Bane or Revan or a shit load of other things.. it simply does not matter for the sake of speculation.
That was great thank you, I have something I would like to share. We all know the 'force' is a powerful thing, that binds the universe, a kind of Mother Nature, to the universe, let's call it 'farther universe' like Mother Nature it must be balanced. We also know that the dark side of the force is balanced by two powerful sith, no more and no less, and this is how farther universe has kept things since Jedi records began. So that said, there is no balance to the force now, and has not been since the death of Sidious. This can not carry on, as without a gig and yang the universe would collapse. When Ren leaves Snoke, Snoke says Ren is ready for the next level of training. I think we all know this means he is going to become a Sith Lord, who will have to take on an apprentice, thus balancing everything out again. So like the dead Jedi help the good side, is it not fair to say Snoke could be the ghost of a former Sith Lord, here to start the whole 'dark side' off again.
Snoke can't be one of the officers because the officers don't know the ways of the force. Ergo, how can someone without the force teach someone the ways of the dark side (Kilo).
Jan Dries Of course he gains more power, but someone has to teach him to use the force and guide him. Luke taught him some of the light side stuff but never the dark side.
All of this different theories, it all takes me back to those days were we were speculating to discover who the real Superman was after his death(SuperBoy, John Henry Irons, the Eradicator, Cyborg)
+Dan Doronin Already said by someone else and I have seen the interview - Andy Serkis has CONFIRMED that Snoke Is NOT Darth Plagueis... That theory is totally dead... Unless of course Serkis has been told by Abrams to LIE.
Rey is totally Luke Skywalker's Daughter, It's obvious because the Skywalker blood line was all born or abandoned on a desert planet, Also their mentors all got stabbed from a sith lord/first order master. If you look real carefully, You can see the look in Luke's eyes that he knows her really well.
I truely hope that Grand Moff Tarkin would surface on some degree as he really would be a resilient one to do that, not a force user but a "operator" as such....
+Adam Strand because it's pictures taken on a sell phone in theatres. Since the movie isn't out on Blu Ray/ DVD yet there is no other way to get screenshots
Rey is Lukes daughter. In the Disney Infinity Star Wars game, during the boss fight between Kylo Ren and Rey, Kylo Ren refers to Rey as his cousin by saying "fight me cousin"
I believe Rey and Poe to be siblings I don't really have anything to support this, but I believe Finn to be bi and Poe to be gay and it would add a nice love triangle between them
pretty sure in the novel "Lost Stars" it says that Tarkin was in fact on the Death Star when it was destroyed. Making it cannon and not a good candidate for Snoke or The Operator
My Snoak theory is this: People who have read Kevin J Anderson's Jedi Academy trilogy may have missed a part where clones of Palpatine were mentioned...
Also for Snoke, I liked the theory that he was actually palpatine, and when his apprentice tried to kill him he took over his body to preserve his soul, and that he created Anakin to be his ideal vessel so he could live on, but after Obi Wan fucked that up with the help of lava his either stayed as Palp or hopped to the only body he could find which is the messed up one we see and that maybe Kylo will be his next victim
Her Parents didn't drop her off. Kylo Ren dropped her off on Jakku w/ Plutt. In her force vision, Kylo saved her from getting struck by a member of the Knights of Ren. Plutt was informed there was a BB-unit was on Jakku, Plutt received a call & called it in... DUh!!!!
Kylo Ren is the one who leaves Rey on Jakku. In Reys force vision we see Rey surrounded by all the dead students, facing the Knights of Ren. Kylo Ren, still afflicted by the light, cannot bring himself to kill a 5-year-old girl that he most likely has familial ties with. When one of the Knights of Ren attempts to murder a young Rey, Kylo Ren stabs him with his lightsaber, which can actually be seen in the force vision. He then takes her to Jakku, thinking that would be the end of that. When Kylo is told that Finn is with a girl, he immediately thinks of Rey. Either he wiped her memory or she had just suppressed them, not being able to comprehend or interpret what she had witnessed at such a young age.
"Rey’s parents are not in Episode 7. So I can’t possibly tell you who they are at this moment. But all I will say is that this is something that Rey thinks about, too." - JJ Abrams, Tribeca Talks:Director Series
Speculation: Luke is NOT Rey's father. Luke, like Leah, felt a disturbance in the force when her father died.... Rey's father is Han Solo, and Ben (Kylo Ren) is her brother. :O :) And that will make Rey hate Kylo.
Anakin did have a father: Plagueis created him out of midichlorians, explaining why he had such a high count and never fulfilled the prophecy: HE WASN'T THE CHOSEN ONE, BUT PLAGUEIS' PAWN!
I swear Snoke is Palpatine. Nobody is saying it but it's totally plausible. He let the Empire fall and when only the best of the old Empire remained (and he was healed) he built a new one from its ashes. He could've survived falling down the shaft by creating a type of force field around him. Then he could escape but using his abilities led him to be weakened and disfigure. If this is true I totally called it.
Rey is a clone, and her flashbacks are nothing but genetic memory built into her design. Rey will turn to the dark side, possibly as a vessel for Palpatine, and will only be saved in end by Kylo Ren. Oh, and Finn is Lando's Son, he never knew he had.
Sir me and a few others always understood the Force from the beginning unlike most religions or beliefs which are muddled in there meaning. Even Thanos knew that Balance is Everything. And the "Reward" is inner Peace and Universal/Cosmic Peace with everything ! Master 58 😎 "Just saying"
It could be that Rey is "a child of the force" the re-incarnated Anakin. While Luke married her mother after that and she became a step-daughter Skywalker. Snoke could even be the dark side of that theory, Dark Vader re-incarnating himself. A stretch, for sure, but with Star Wars, anything is possible.
When Darth Vader "died" it was apart of his plan because he knew he wasn't strong enough to defeat Luke so he knew he is going to have to train someone to defeat him. Therefore he is Snoke.....
imagine star wars was like this. episode 1 In replace of chancellor Palpatine there is chancellor jar jar who have a apprentice who is in replace of darth maul who is Darth icky
I think it's most likely that Rey is the daughter of Han and Leia. It makes the most sense. The writing's all over the wall. The way they interacted with her told me that there's still a lot untold; Han at least knew Rey before running into her on the Falcon.
All signs point towards Rey being a Skywalker She was abandoned on a sandy planet. Luke and Anakin both lived on sandy planets. So that's an extreme clue. Another one is that she used the force to get the lightsaber out of the snow and that was the first time she used it. If you remember the first time Luke used the force he used it to pull his lightsaber out of the snow to kill the wampa. It's a little detail but it's brilliant. What do you think. I think Rey is a Skywalker above anything else. Let me know what your theories are I'm interested. And please don't have huge fights I just want to know what you all think
Rey: Either Obi-Wans granddaughter (Obi-Wan was great at mind tricks and Rey is as well, also she heard both versions of Obi-Wans voice when touching the lightsaber) or the emperors great-granddaughter (that would just be fucking awesome), student of Luke, when Kylo Ren killed the other students he couldn't kill Rey because they were friends, he hid her on Jakku so he wouldn't have to kill her but so she wouldn't become a threat to the First Order either. I don't think she's Anakin reincarnated because 1. Anakin wasn't that good at mind tricks but Rey managed it really fast and 2. They wouldn't use something people hated from the prequel trilogy for something this important. Also the very start of the saga would techincally be a new hope. I have no idea who Snoke may be but he's DEFINETELY NOT Leia please stop. Tarkin badly underestimated the rebellion and that's why he died (or at least got blown up), so I don't really think he is Snoke, but he might be if there's any way he could have survived the Death Star blowing up and all those years between episode 6 and 7.
My theory is that Han Solo is the father of Rey. Han bangs Leia one last time before he leaves for a long time. She has her, and both Kylo Ren, and Rey were sent to train with Luke. Rey was forced to leave Luke's new academy. Maybe she didn't show to be a force sensitive, like Han. Or Luke may have seen the future, and sent her away to Jakku. That is why Rey is crying because she didn't want to leave. Luke brainwashed everyone into thinking Rey never existed. Just a thought.
A Part 2? No way, I thought Screen Rant just kept recycling titles and expect us to not notice...
*this is just a joke, don't over-react and sue me*
Haven't you heard, if you react YOU get sued.
Screen rant wont sue you, but if you put this comment on a finebros vid, oh boy
You're just asking for a lawsuit after telling people not to overREACT
+Not A Potato so true 😂
Haha
Hopeing rey is a kenobi and plagieuos is snoke
He's not snoke,Andy serkis confirmed it.
+SamBaker BF4 i dont think rey is a kenobi. this plays way after episode 4 when obi wan died and rey doesnt seem that old

+DJ Khaled really dj khaled you're a star wars fan
Omg yazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Rey is Jar Jar's daughter
Seems legit
OMGIT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE
No, Rey IS Jar Jar. :P
+Jake Tupler oh ma goshXD
no snoke is jar jar after a few years
This video got way deeper than I expected. Kudos guys. Y'all do amazing work over at Screen Rant! Keep it up
Supreme Leader Snoke is Jaj-Jar Binks, Half Life 3 confirmed.
Rey is Mace Windu's daughter
😑
she's chewies daughter
Shes bb-8s daughter
+Aimee Moore seems legit :D
That's why Finn is her brother 🐵
What IF snoke is lord sidious
Great video man
God I would hate if Ray is related to Luke or anyone else like Han/Leela
+Illya Lypyak Leela?
I think she is a clone that came out as female
Rey* Leia* also your comment is stupid
+TeboaPlays that doesn't make any sense

+Nightmares Graphics Jeez
+GhostMasterZzGaming lol
She's not hot. She's really attractive.
Soooo true!!! I have a crush on Rey
I LOVE YOU SCREEN RANT!
if JJ was watching this. This would either make him laugh or give him some good ideas.
Your videos are amazing
You forgot Darth Malgus as a possibikity for Snoke.
+Khristophoros1001 that doesn't matter though. Neither was Darth Bane and Revan is making an appearance in Rebels through a holocron or something.
+Khristophoros1001 Also the recent expansion pack to TOR "Knights of the Fallen Empire" was commissioned by Disney -Lucasfilm, to change Malgus' fate and have him frozen in carbonite. The perfect time machine.

Yeah good point he's like a much more powerful Vader
And Darth Jar Jar!!
if rey is the rencarnation of the chosen one:
-luke im your father
-whaaa?
-weeeell, sort of
it would be awesome if episode 9 ends with The Dark Side winning
That was great thank you, I have something I would like to share. We all know the 'force' is a powerful thing, that binds the universe, a kind of Mother Nature, to the universe, let's call it 'farther universe' like Mother Nature it must be balanced. quote of Snoke: "Bring him to me, so that i can finish his training." (or so)
All of this different theories, it all takes me back to those days were we were speculating to discover who the real Superman was after his death(SuperBoy, John Henry Irons, the Eradicator, Cyborg)
I wonder what luke will do at the start of the new Star Wars!?
Me too. I hope he's not killed somehow...
Train Rey and possibly set up like vs snoke or Rey vs Kylo ren
+Bob Joe use a lightsaber walker
Blazing Heart That's what I'm afraid of...
bam movies over Episode 9 would be the funeral.
Nobody talks about how in The Force Awakens, Maz asks Han "Who's the girl?" And then it cuts the scene...
Mace Windu is Snoke and Rey is a descendant of Palpatine
Joshua Doig you got the palpatine part right-
4:04 chosen one? or chosen.... WAN!!!! ?!?!!??!?!? mind blown?
Snoke is probably Darth Plaegus.
It's been confirmed by Andy Serkis that he's not
+Will Everard how do you know that? my teory is that leia is snoke but no one knows
+Adam Strand Lel did you watch the movie? (Do not be a butthurt boy)
+JaydaiKnight yes i watched that movie it was awsome
😊 starwars😊
+Dan Doronin Already said by someone else and I have seen the interview - Andy Serkis has CONFIRMED that Snoke Is NOT Darth Plagueis...
That theory is totally dead... Unless of course Serkis has been told by Abrams to LIE.
Daisy Ridley as Rey is so beautiful and inspirational.
I like the Rey Kenobi and Anakin reborn theories best.
+1
Honestly videos like these are more entertaining, engaging and interesting then the movies themselves
Can you stop circling things in the picture.
last three theories seem best, great video
why is the force awakens photos so bad ? explain to me plz
+Adam Strand because it's pictures taken on a sell phone in theatres. Since the movie isn't out on Blu Ray/ DVD yet there is no other way to get screenshots
+cenesm okay thanks
+cenesm sell phone -_-
+Random Guy Forever wanna sell your phone? i give you 10 bucks for it
+Random Guy Forever its cell phone
I have a theory for you, you're more like the question, how would one become the gray witch is in the middle of Jedi and sith?
Snoke = Jar Jar
true
I could see the reincarnation theory work as Kylo Ren hears his grandfather, perhaps even a split personality of Anikin as Rey is good
Luke = Light , Rey = Light, she's a Skywalker get over it lol
+Scott Giles All Jedis = Light so we don't know...
+Scott Giles Obi Wan = Light
Yoda=light
Mace Windu=light
Kit fisto=light
Luke translates to light so does Rey, like Rey of light. mace windu obj wan does not translate to the word light.
FN - 2187 = The Force, get over it lol.
As much as I'd like tarkin to come back. He was never force sensitive and snoke is very much attuned to the force
I vote for Rey to be Luke's daughter!
I can't resist calling him "Supreme Leader Snookie"
Rey is Lukes daughter. In the Disney Infinity Star Wars game, during the boss fight between Kylo Ren and Rey, Kylo Ren refers to Rey as his cousin by saying "fight me cousin"
Hope Rey is just a character. Not another fucking relative.
I believe Rey and Poe to be siblings
I don't really have anything to support this, but I believe Finn to be bi and Poe to be gay and it would add a nice love triangle between them
That's so fucking dumb.
David Jones I know, that's why I believe in it, cause noone else will xDD
David Jones and then I can be like "I TOLD YOU, REST OF THE WORLD, I FUCKING TOLD YOU!" If it turns out to be true
i think this video should have been titled "Even more star wars theories"
SOO AWESOME!!!
I hope Rey is Obi Wan's granddaughter!!
pretty sure in the novel "Lost Stars" it says that Tarkin was in fact on the Death Star when it was destroyed. Making it cannon and not a good candidate for Snoke or The Operator
In my opinion Rey is Luke's daughter. But I guess we'll have to see next year or in episode 9. So happy Star Wars is back!
Uploaded on my birthday :D
My Snoak theory is this: People who have read Kevin J Anderson's Jedi Academy trilogy may have missed a part where clones of Palpatine were mentioned...
Also for Snoke, I liked the theory that he was actually palpatine, and when his apprentice tried to kill him he took over his body to preserve his soul, and that he created Anakin to be his ideal vessel so he could live on, but after Obi Wan fucked that up with the help of lava his either stayed as Palp or hopped to the only body he could find which is the messed up one we see and that maybe Kylo will be his next victim
Episode 8 will be sooooo epic.On top of theories everyone is forgetting luke is gonna be the lead role.hopefully
ugh I can't wait for episode 8
Her Parents didn't drop her off. Kylo Ren dropped her off on Jakku w/ Plutt. In her force vision, Kylo saved her from getting struck by a member of the Knights of Ren. Plutt was informed there was a BB-unit was on Jakku, Plutt received a call & called it in... DUh!!!!
So many new theories.. Gonna have to watch the movie once again.
Rey is related to Palpatine - her untrained fighting style is so similar its uncanny.
luke doesnt seem too happy to see rey, maybe he is there because he gave in to the dark side
Finn is Lando's son! I'd like to see a theory on that.
Rey is Luke's daughter. In Disney Infinity when fighting Rey, Ben calls her COUSIN
Either he wiped her memory or she had just suppressed them, not being able to comprehend or interpret what she had witnessed at such a young age.
You should do a theory on if Finn will be force sensitive in the upcoming films. There are hints in the film and novel.
What about Finn's parents? Lando? Captain Panaka? Mace Windu?
In the picture of the Knights of Ren, on the far right, there is an Inquisitor! And in the far left, there is a Mandalorian!
Snoke appeared as a hologram in The Force Awakens
Every star wars has always been about a Skywalker. It remains about a Skywalker. She isnt a kenobi
Wait a minute! This will sound crazy, I know. Ok! Get ready!...
What is Snoke.... IS SNOKE???!!!!
These Star Wars theories are more exciting than the new movies
Ren killed Luke's family...
I think my favorite theories are that Grand Moff Tarkin is Snoke and that Rey is the sister of Kylo Ren.
C'mon, it's obvious that Rey is Jon Snow's daughter
I like the Grand Moff Tarkin idea
maybe palpatine didn't die when he was plunged into the vent but was just disfigured and looks like snoke
Therefore he is Snoke.....
imagine star wars was like this.
episode 1
In replace of chancellor Palpatine there is chancellor jar jar who have a apprentice who is in replace of darth maul who is Darth icky
I think it's most likely that Rey is the daughter of Han and Leia. It makes the most sense. The writing's all over the wall. The way they interacted with her told me that there's still a lot untold; Han at least knew Rey before running into her on the Falcon.
I think smoke is the one that Anikan and the empire killed as he was fighting the empire
All signs point towards Rey being a Skywalker
She was abandoned on a sandy planet.
If a skywaker was in the middle of every movie that makes me believe that Rey is related to Luke
We can all agree on one thing:
Jar Jar was responsible for the fall of the republic
I love the star wars videos!
Rey is her name because Obi Wan says it when she touches the lightsaber. She is Vader reincarnated makes the most sense.
This probably means I have to watch the Clone Wars of Netflix now.
it wasn't Luke's voice when Rey touched the saber. it was obi wan's
the part with obi wan having a "secret" child (being rey) is way out of the timeline thing...
Snoke could be the spirit of X1
I'm sick of everything being solos or sky walkers, I want Rey to be a kenobi and since new canon Rey could be a great niece to kenobi
