Since most musicians have heavily modified instruments anyway, I've been really looking into buying these cheap guitars and upgrading them to be like famous guitars (i.e. Brett Gurewitz's Red Rocker).
Heck yeah, Stanger!!! Man what a killer guitar, for $119 scooters!! Holy cow that's a lot of fun for that kind of cash. Killer mod platform - not that you'd have to do a whole lot. But you sure could have some fun modding it out. Looks pretty darn good, just the way it is! A few minor adjustments here, and there, as you pointed out. And yes - removing the pick-guard that doe snot match. LOL and bingo. Killer!! I gotta grab one of these.... It would look killer sitting next to my Leo James Union Jack Les Paul ! Rock on, Brother!
Yeah I took the pick guard off and put it right back on..the screw at the top of the pick guard was a bit tight and the must have put it on when the guitar wasn't completely cured...there was about a dime size spot down to the bare wood where they mounted the guard..lol so I will be keeping the pick guard on
I GOT MYSELF ONE FOR CHRISTMAS TOO!!! Lol. Even came with the British strap! Lol! I thought it would be a great pair with the Leo. I think, sound-wise, the Leo is better, because it currently has better sustain (at least when I play the Star Spangled Banner on both guitars 😁). It MAY be the strings though, because the Leo came with D'Addario strings, and this one didn't, plus they are obviously thinner. We'll see what a string change does! For that price though, man, you gotta LOVE IT!!! THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!!!!
@@Dave6SS it's DEFINITELY killer for that price! I've thought about buying a second one just for mod experimenting! Maybe even give it the distress look, OR put a bolt on Leo Jaymz neck, with Roasted Maple and stainless steel frets (I've been eyeballing on Amazon) on it. 😂
Dave what brand of bridge do you order when you upgrade your diy kit guitars? I really need a new bridge for my Epiphone SG special and the ones I've tried so far were just shy of fitting the bridge posts. I know most of those kits are imports also, I'd really appreciate your help man!!!
So when ordering parts for some of my Diy projects..I mostly just do it because of cosmetic looks...like for example most kits come with chrome hardware so I would get Gold or Balck..not really an upgrade for better quality..but I usually get the same quality from Amazon..they have several different inexpensive brands..and more expensive as well..depending on what ur looking for
@@Dave6SS yeah man that's where I've been buying from, I'm wandering which brands you have tried so maybe I can quit wasting money. I've already tried J.D. MOON and one other brand I forget which brand. Thx again in advance.
Appearance wise, I like the LJ flag guitar way better. I never played this one but I'm sorry it just reminds me of the cheesy Hunk Hogan video from the 80s except a LP not a strat.
@@Dave6SS No prob. Thinking of trying more of the cheapies? Some like the Grote ones but I think they cost more. There seems to be two different versions and price reflects that.
Just bought one, thanks! 👍
Very Epiphone looking headstock. Not too bad looking. Red White and Blue Rawk!
Thanks bro 🥰✌️😎
I got a IYV Les Paul copy and it's set neck and plays awesome made in Vietnam got it for $75
Awesome Bro ...Lol may have to try one put at some point

Needs a clear pick guard
What's up brother good to see the new video of the new year awesome
Thanks Donnie 😎🤘🍻
I like the pickups, sounds very 70's. I agree pull the pickguard.
🤘😎
We the people 🫡
😎👍🍻
It looks a pre 2019 epiphone headstock shape
Looks like the old epiphone headstock shape?
Yeah someone else had mentioned that as well...Thanks for Watching 😎🍻
Dave, I love it, MERICA! I want to get one of those as well, Awesome brother,
Thanks Bro..its definitely affordable..Thanks for Watching
Cool! Headstock shape looks like old epiphone?
Actually does..didn't even pay attention to that...Thanks for Watching
The pick ups are killer!!

Rock On Bro 😎🤘 Thanks for Watching
Pretty sweet man! Rock on! 🤟
Love the strap.. 😂
🤣🤣 Thanks Tom
I wanted this guitar for the flag design, but one thing about the design bothers me: it's upside down.
I like to rustic one from Leo James it's a little better in the look
They are Both Nice in there own way 😎
I put the description in my Amazon dream journal. Lol...
Lol..cant beat the price thats for sure 🤘😎
I actually like the pickups. I'd just get some budget locking tuners, but that's it. The USA flag finish looks killer
Truly blown away for what u get for the price...unbelievable
What's the nut width
Also, I've THOUGHT about removing the pick guard, but I worry about the holes left in such a beautiful and glossy finish...

Leo Jaymz is better..but for basically half the price its one hell of a Guitar...nice bang for the buck...Thanks for Watching

@@Dave6SS I fooled around and did my own little video on this one and the Leo! Tell me whatcha think. Lol.

Maybe it's just the camera but the blue behind the stars looks like the wrong color for our flag
Yeah..led lights...kinda will mess thing up
