April totally nailing the moment and presence of mind to get to the action in the thick of it gonna be good hearing more of her on the mic too. She nailed it in Chicago too ❤
Comfortable victory for Brunner and Crabb. Theo's blocking might be the strongest, most consistent weapon on the AVP right now. As for Chase and Miles, their offensive set-up looks flawed. Miles tends to shoot his passes past center court into the hands of the setter, but never high enough for a strong option play, and Chase usually sets him wide, which limits the attacker who starts his approach on the sideline or even finds himself trapped beyond the antenna where spikes down the line are no longer available. Going long distance in both passing and setting slows down their game and creates a higher potential for errors. Plus, it allows the blocker ample time to visually track the play and set himself up at the net. I can't think of one modern top-tier team that structures their offense this way. With them, it's all focused on playing through the middle, high passes towards the net, with option plays happening often and quickly to always keep the other team guessing.
I'll bet Trevor's trying to get Chase, being as Theo is pretty much retiring. Also seems like miles and chase do so much offensive flare because Miles has a (relatively) weak side out
What other professional league would make this much of a physical altercation between two players? AVP coming off like they're desperate for drama and Cam and Kevin sounded like a couple of gossipy schoolgirls. GTF over it.
I'm convinced Theo is the Nikola Jokic of the AVP
