Sometimes, you find music that's not really music. Something that's not really something, but something else. A feeling that is neither happy nor sad, but extreme happiness and extreme sadness put together in a bursting emotion that travels so deeply inside your being, that it takes you somewhere that is not really anywhere... It's neither here nor there. You suddenly find yourself in a place that is so unknown that feels familiar... You no longer know if you are a body or a soul... And you try to hold on to that moment for as long as you possibly can.
Well said this would be the best thing to say yet I could never find the right words or I would try too yet I think I could find the words to say something like this the same. So true. 2 years ago here's my memory of this song. I only came across Ben Bohmer maybe 2 or 3 months prior so I already heard it and fell in love with it and all his music. I was sitting with the boys as we all had a cigar or drink in hand at the back porch of a cottage and i was the first DJ for the weekend. The weather was perfect, a fresh breeze and the sun was out while a few clouds were up in the sky floating without a destination and this was the first song i played. They never listened to it before. So we are all chatting and enjoying our time together while the trees are right behind us and it is pretty relaxing where we were. So as we chat we all stop for a few seconds prior (they didn't know the pause was coming) and the pause at 2:50 hits and we all hear a bird chirping beautiful for the 5 seconds before the song starts back up. Nothing but pure peace for those moments. Nothing except what life is all about. Good people, good memories and good music.

Ben, what a masterpiece of a track. Beautiful soundscapes and a great groove. You have a great sense of space in your songs, giving the track room to breathe. My favorite part is the silence at 2:51. I know it sounds odd to say silence is the best part, but the anticipation it brings and then the payoff when the melody and groove come back is amazing. What a bold artistic choice to put 5 full seconds of silence at the climax of the track!
DUDE! I was astounded at the timing of that part and the juxtaposition of using "silence" to create music. It was beautifully done! I literally could not hold back the surprise nor the tears.
No other track has provoked such an emotional reaction from me than this in sometime. 30 secs in and was tearing up and all goosebumps. Music has so much power and in this case, Ben is in control of it. Utterly beautiful 💙✌🏼
