I've been to San Onofre State Beach. Allan's lines, to my spirit, reflected and represented balance between the soothing, endless waves and the chaos of the breaking surf.
Or the nuclear radiation eminating from the silos. haha Incredible transcribing there Brett! Those groups of 6 or 7 notes all together make my head turn to mush.
Hey Brett - I just wanted to commend you and say thanks for the amazing work you've done related to Allan. I've had so much fun exploring "In The Mystery"
This solo reminds me of his solos on Soft Works' Abracadabra, where he sounds the most Coltrane-esque-and even beyond-on guitar, without 'cheating' with the SynthAxe :)
These are far from the best Allen's solos but if you look for Dweezil Zappa he's got a video out Holdsworth doing the most insane solo you've ever seen so you need to check that out pal 🤓🚬
Holdsworth was probably the most technically gifted of all of the fusion guitarists. The problem is that his compositions were so. Damned. Boring. Speed isn't everything. In fact, speed is nothing.
He loved symmetrical chords
Nice work here. Long Live Allan Holdsworth!
Brett Stine strikes again, bravo!

@@kentlindsaymusic I didn't think of that one! ☣☣☣
Exactly
GOAT. Greatest guitarist of the 20th Century IMHO. And that's a big statement!
Brilliant beyond words! Thank you so much for the transcription!
Ridiculously brilliant musical Master.
You our friend are an incredible transciber!
Damn, great transcribing skills Brett - the rhythms are tough as hell!
Thanks bro.
Great solo, great transcription Brett. Thanks!
SO Beautiful, I love this solo and your work! Great job again!
One of my absolute favourites!

SUBLIMINAL MESSAGE: BUY BRETT'S BOOKS.
Sounds like Gary Husband on drums.
@@Jacke7111 it’s the other Gary… Gary Novak.
Needs more notes and chromatic-ism.

@@Tommyguitargibson I’ve probably seen it pal… but why don’t you drop a link. 😎

Horrid take
If you cant hear the beauty and passion coming off this, I genuinely feel sorry for you. It's your loss, not the music's.
