I think you are right about both not needing a huge number of listings and in specialing. My approach is to buy good quality, good profit smaller everything items (easier storage and packing) and spcialising. Specialising allows you to gain improved knowledge and out compete the.general market. I love your videos. Best wishes, Roger.

I'm guessing when you say you paid a fiver on vinted, you mean without postage. It might be clearer to add the postage on top each time as it really is shoes plus postage. Please could you say each time including postage as it helps to learn the margins. Thanks in advance
Hi James how do you get the soles on the shoes ie converse looking so white and do you throw the converse and trainers in the washing machine all the time. I’m just starting out and I’ve tried just cleaning by hand but they don’t look as good as yours. Is the photography also a factor in them looking so good. Thanks for any help much appreciated. 😊

Hi, I use a Dymo 4XL printer, does a great job. Scales are just cheap Amazon ones, but have lasted for years! Sorry for the late reply.

I'm currently on holiday in Norfolk & Suffolk, a lot of town centres are half empty & shops closed down, spoke to people on Norwich market & it's been a very slow start to the year, we are coming out of recession, things will improve moving forward
A recession would boost demand for cheaper places such as markets and secondhand goods on eBay so it’s not that. We’ve had the wettest few months for a long time which will discourage people going out to shops and markets, on top of inflation reducing disposable income.

Do you find you spend most of your time sourcing on vinted? As I imagine it takes quite a while to find 5 quality items at £10 or under?
Nah not a lot of time to be honest. I just keep the app open whilst I take pictures or package items, if I looked at screen time I’m sure it’ll be ridiculous, but my eyes aren’t constantly on it.
@@JammyDodgerFlips That's good to know. I work full time and do this on the side. I have to up my buying price as I don't have the time to source lower at lower prices. Additionally knowledge is power the more brands you know that do well the better.

What a win on the Converse! Just to say - authentication items that sell via GSP don't get authenticated, they go straight to Global Shipping Centre (still get free shipping label though). It's frustrating because the whole point of Authentication is to protect both sellers and buyers, but if the buyer purchases via GSP that completely goes out the window. Had that with a US buyer last year who scammed me and said I'd sent different trainers to what they ordered (I hadn't, they just swapped them for some cheaper ones). Had to provide a US returns label which logistically is very tricky and then was able to do 50% refund for the wrong item being returned under Top Rated Seller protection, but all in all a painful experience! Most buyers aren't like that thankfully but the non-authentication does open the door to chancers.

Hi Jamie dodger when’s the trainer cleaning video coming out .I’ve just started up selling and ruined 2 pairs of trainers I bought off vinted all ready by putting them in the washing machine 🙈🥲😂
Do you make use of the variable selling fee promotions that come every other weekend? I only list with this now as it saves me money (particularly for higher value items).
I have been doing the same but have stopped receiving the promotions for the last two weeks. The only difference I can work out is that I have been doing drafts and waiting for the promotional email. Possibly the fact that I have items in draft waiting to be listed has stopped the promotion coming my way???
@@larryjuana9309 I mean they only come every 2 weeks so it might have just missed one. Sometimes I've had the offer arrive on Sunday instead of Friday.
I think this feature is only for private sellers. As a business seller we don’t get many offers from eBay, unfortunately. I’m on a basic shop, so get the 250 free listings per month.

Can I ask everyone on here, how many items do I need to list to earn roughly £1000 a month after fees, postage & tax? Thanks
This video shows that you really don’t need much stock. It’s more about the quality. I’d say for a grand a month you could quite easily make that with 50 active listings at any one point. Just try to get the average sale price up.

I see that you promote most of the listings on Ebay. Is it worth it as I've always been a bit worried to do it.
No real answer for proof if worth it or not. I only do the near minimum of 2.1% on all listings - don’t like to give eBay all my money.

Good to keep listings numbers down, but how many do you list a day? Also, what's your average profit per item, please? Has it gone up moving from everything to shoes? Cheers
I’m listing 5 pairs of shoes a day now, average buy price is £13.50 (£10 Vinted buy) for an average sale of £35-40. So after everything, profit sits around £20-25 per item, after all fees/tax. But of course sometimes it’s a higher sale, sometimes it’s lower.
My turnover of stock has massively moved up since going to shoes, my 90 day was around 250 solds 6 months ago, and is now on the 500 mark. So I think it’s the right move for the business right now. Thanks 😊

How do you snipe on vinted, they don`t do auctions?
No it’s not on auctions. It’s catching the items at under sold prices, buying them within the first few minutes of them being listed.
