- “Don’t Forget Me” performed live by the #RedHotChiliPeppers at the Palais Omnisport de Paris Bercy, France. February 13 2003.
“This Cold” is a song from #JohnFrusciante released in February 2004 with the record “Shadow Collide with People”.
John placing easter eggs in his performances lmao
The Heavy Wing solo in Barcelona had a couple seconds/notes from the beginning of Dosed outro. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is placing easter eggs. With such a big following it is sure to become a hobby of fans to find and document them.
He also played once Unreachable as Californication solo
@@flojd2232 whoa have you got a link?

So awesome! Lol
This Cold is such an amazing song… totally underrated in his catalog.
The whole "Shadows" is such a pleasant, inspiring and invigorating listen!
What do you mean underrated? None of his solo material is famous.
@@nojeshei I think he meant underrated among the fans community.
@@nojeshei and this honestly sucks, his music is so pure
@@ordinaryperson9472 Well i think its best for john and the fans that his solo music is not mainstream
And then there is people that call him overrated. He’s one of the few who can penetrate your soul at that level, using the simplest notes and chords while he’s improvising.
absolute truth in your statement
This is what music is all about, isn't it ? Emotions
This is a great find. This Cold and Don’t Forget Both have the same chord sequence:
Am, G, F, C
So this does make sense
*Am, F, C, G
Am, F, G, C
Am, C, G, F
Amaj, C7, Gaug, Fm7b5
Hillarious
His tone sounds soooooo good wow not to mention referencing his solo tune what a GOAT
in my humble opinion, john got the most beautiful melodies as a guitarist, specially since the by the way album and his solo career
Called this weeks ago when this came out on Reddit and no one knew what I was talking about. Finally someone who caught it!
I DON'T NEED A RIDE TO ARRIVE
Finding this after so many years is such a treat to us Frusciante geeks
How’s your relation to Frusciante’s work going rn? I listen to my favorite songs of his very often these days
@@AM-ly3oo A year later, I can finally reply. I connect to his work with the Chili Peppers (every single second of it) and I'm enjoying the 2 new albums so much. About his solo work, I prefer his 2004-2009 era, but I also dig the 1994-2001 years. The electronic decade was cool and had me super invested before it got too crazy (LOVE the Letur and PBX albums). I find myself listening to everything related to John pretty much everyday. I even got to see him live a month and a half ago, so my love for his work just got bigger and bigger 🙌
John’s whole catalog is underrated (by some… his Reddit fan area is very active ). This cold is one of the greatest songs of all time.
I’m a pretty big fan of Johns solo stuff but, although a fun catchy tune l definitely say Central was one of his masterpieces.
@@Sciencewolfbeard The Empyrean is a masterpiece from the start to end
@@higgerground1192 The only minus about the Empyrean is the Lo-fi record volume , epic record , especially his voice progression is Awsome , I’m a big Tim Buckley fan , he could bend his voice anyway he wanted to , I was surprised John covered Song to the Siren so well , it’s been done over a 100 times by different musicians , but John’s version is the best I’ve heard .
@@higgerground1192 probably my 2nd fav john album, first has got to go to “From the sounds inside”
I was lucky enough to see John live last week. The man is a genius! Some of the most beautiful guitar playing I have ever heard.
I FEEL THIS COOOOLD I NEVER STAY AND NEVER GOOOOO
Love this. Even just those few notes attached to the memories and feelings I have from shadows collide..deep.
John is so creative, I love what he plays
Damn…this is one of the most exciting finds!!!!!! I really didn’t know the man did it once!! AMAZING🤩
this cold is a fucking beautiful song
this gives me chills.. how i missed it for so many years?
this is so cool omg
I love when John does stuff like this!! One of my favorites is when he pays homage to Hillel by putting a section of the solo from "Hollywood" in the solo for "Readymade".
I don’t know this, v cool!
@@Rach90 Yup! Listen to "Hollywood" around 02:18 and "Readymade" around 02:43
So beautiful his playing is so damn beautiful in every way.. Love Anthony too.
This is amazing!! This Cold is such a good song.

This Cold indeed.
Missed my chance to see them this weekend, been in hospital and still am. Hopefully one day!
Rest up brother, you'll see em next time! What show were you going to?
Hopefully this still makes it into setlists
such an easter egg
holy shit thats so fucking cool
Oh... A 2003 show. Thought it was a 2022 one.
i was so hyped
So good haha
💔🥺
This should be the Solo on the album
The dont forget me solo is 10-8 (tab wise) on the b and 9 on the g string while this cold solo is 10-8 and 5 on the b so this might have been just a coincidence
And this was before This Cold was released!
Who the fuck noticed this?
Absolutely incredible
In 1988, RHCP unknowingly (or not) signed John Frusciante to form the backbone of their future. In this way, the artistic and creative identity of the band became the unconscious domain (or not) of John Frusciante; whoever denies this is completely stupid (including Anthony Kiedis).
I woudn't say stupid. Only because i disagree with you. You can argue that John is a creative force so strong, that anything he's involved with gets consumed by him. But to say he's the backbone is a bit dumb. Clearly Anthony is that backbone, love it or hate it. No Anthony, no Peppers. Look at Shadows Collide with People. That is literally the Peppers! Rubin, Chad, Flea, Klinghoffer, and Frusciante, all on one project, yet it sounds nothing like the Peppers.
While I respect and love John’s playing and writing, you can’t forget about Flea.
Even Chad has been tearing it up for years... Been proud of his recent performances, his live game is strong!!
@@xavierrhcp13 Kiedis the backbone?... Well, it's difficult to understand if we only appreciate things from an "aesthetic" point of view. I could extend myself trying to explain how relevant and decisive Frusciante's creative contribution has been in this band. But fortunately we all have the internet, criteria and capacity for appreciation... It's just a matter of wanting to see. Cheers!
@@xavierrhcp13 I agree that the band couldn't go on if Anthony or even Flea (in my opinion) left. But saying Shadows Collide doesn't sound like RHCP simply because Anthony didn't take part in it is not accurate. It doesn't sound like RHCP because the whole album was composed and thought by Frusciante, it was his line of thought and creativity. The others maybe put a little touch here and there, but nothing that would change the essence of John's solo work. In the band, it's his + the other members' ideas melding together in the same degree (or at least on much higher levels than if it was a solo project).
Does anyone know what concert this was and if there's live footage? Frusciante is my favorite guitarist and I love watching him play live
I’ve seen RHCP with John 3 times. If I saw any solo hints live…instant tears.
Cool, but you should mention on the title that it's from 2003, thumbnail is misleading
Man, since I haven't listened to this cold in so long, and because it's slower, at first i was all, "wtf this cold what, where?" 🤣
No tiene sentido lo feliz q me hace esto
Do you think that this solo was created in this dont forget me jam or it was created previously to this show? (Remember SCWP was released in 2004 and this show was one year before)
Please someone tell me how he plays can’t stop cause I don’t have six fingers or a John to play the main chorus’s tabs
is there a full video of this?:(
What performance was this from????
Anthony sounds great!
uou uou
Can you give me the link to the image? it's amazing
Send me an email! You’ll find my address in the infos of my channel
Ahah that's funny. He wrote some of the Shadows songs years in advance

What gig is this? Does anyone know?
Its stadium arcadium tour
Hi Rob, it is the By The Way Tour. You can find all the info in the description tab
Theres one where he puts an empyrean solo in califonication but cant find it
Se me paro el oído
Which show is this??
Palais Omnisport de Paris Bercy, France. February 13 2003
Are there more “Easter eggs”
I wonder if there's a reason for that, like maybe he came up with ideas for both songs at the same time so they're linked in his mind.
That is true. By the way and Shadows were conceived at the same time. John considered them partner records. He said so in interviews from the time and I think in his long Q&A also.
yea, he kinda did.
Is this real? :O
ikr
I ask the same
Ofc, It is!
@@RedHotBSSM which live is it from?
@@MrAnthonyTS Parigi, 13 Febbraio 2003.
i mean same chord progression so why not
Both songs share the same chords, its just coincidence.
