Real talk this guy speaks the truth
Luke Nash I agree with you. We are now spinning around, now, because we are depending on others to provide for us.
Thanks,

When I was a young kid and started drumming, I knew jazz had the type of drumming I wanted to learn. It was the 80’s so I turned the radio on and heard Max playing a solo. I never heard anything like it. Within a month I bought a cassette of his music. He has been my drumming idol since. Everything about Max exhibits class.
I love Max Roach …. Sony Rollins, Jimmy Smith, Cliff Brown … my go to jazz artists
one of the best drummers of all time.. i love it!
I agree with Max. Words can liberate and elevate or they may incarcerate and denigrate. Max is the most.
This dudes awesome!

@SKEETERAYE Thanks for posting! Do you know the name of his Autobiography?
peep the hair coming out of his earss
I'm a big Max fan. But he's pressing that race button a bit too hard. He himself was a strong fan of Shelly Manne... there are omparison videos on UA-cam showing the direct adaption by MJ of many of Fred Astarte's moves.. in some cases his whole routine. whole
Pressing that race? Did he say that Shelly can’t play? He is talking about his people, deal with it. If it makes you feel uncomfortable that says a lot about you.
Max was always in the politics; like the time he picketed (indoors) at the Miles-Gil concert at Carnegie Hall, where he felt (knew) the funds from the charitable event were going to be misused. Flash forward to Live Aid in 1986, where less than 5% of the fund raiser reached those in need. Now we have Bono shilling for thieves ! Yes, Max had the vision!
maybe cos they _made_ that music? 🤦🏾 do sum research
Which white folks are we talking about? Not the ones who invented pianos and saxophones and double basses and record players, right?
