They should have included kitchen stuff, especially marble countertops, since they now have the texture. 😦 But overall, your B&B review presented the objects the best. 👍

Look, I adore the sims but I’m tired of being disappointed and feeling like so many packs are incomplete. They finally got it right with seasons...but, now it feels like all that progress has been erased.
A tiny world! It’s supposed to be based on LA for Pete’s sakes, yet there are zero apartments and only 6 residential lots! It’s quite ridiculous and underwhelming. Don’t even get me started on the lack of kitchen stuff...

I agree with you but I think they can't put in apartments because it would mean players have to have city living in order to use get famous. (they sort of messed with that rule with my first pet stuff and people definitely did not like that at all)
I agree! I don’t know, I feel like the sims team is just getting lazy, Seasons is great and is my favourite pack so far but I feel like the rest of them were just a meh for me :/ I was so super excited for this pack and I was so dissapointed when I saw how small the new world is :( they should’ve done like a couple of penthouses or something like that and a lot more residental lots!
come on!!! The pack is awesome. Who cares the fucking world. In the sims 1 we couldn't even live there. Come on guys. THIS IS BETTER THAN GET TOGETHER, CATS AND DOGS AND GET TO WORK. IT CONTAINS A LOT OF OBJECTS AND NEW GAME SYSTEM

This seems more like a beefy game pack to me. Also what was the whole point of having the internet personality career in city living if it was clearly made for this pack.
I see lots of resemblance from the other packs like Vampires, Fitness, Vintage Glamour which I think is a good thing. I thought we'd at least get one modern versatile kitchen counter. They prolly focused a lot on gameplay and such. My favourite item would be the streaming desk.
I lowkey can't wait for someone to build a museum/art gallery with the T-Rex head. Just a really fancy museum? I'd do it myself if I had build talent.
Cant they just make a pack with like 12 different counters and sell it for 55 dollars peeps would still buy it...

I don't get the complaints about kitchen stuff, tbh. I mean I get that we could use more, but with all the stuff available for every other room, I think its evened out a bit. Although I may have a bias because designing kitchens that aren't a single wall of counters and appliances, is a struggle for me.
I think everyone’s being a bit pessimistic. Yeah the map is disappointing, but there’s a lot of new architectural items here that you will be grateful for when they start being incorporated into builds. Also, the fame system will be great for story telling and gameplay opportunity since it seems highly customisable and broad like the holidays or clubs systems. I’m so happy with all the new CAS items to, especially for my sims to wear cosplays to Geekcon some are perfect. I think honestly this should’ve been a game pack instead of an expansion, but then we wouldn’t have any where near as many build/buy or CAS items so idk. I’d say if you’re hesitant just wait for sales.
I am so excited for this game!!! I have preordered it already and completes the collection more, although I think the sims team should come out with more kitchen clutter...

Some of this stuff is really cute and I love the mod/vintage vibe some of the objects give off I would like it more if it was sleek and modern without coming off tacky and over the top but it's still fab
I am so hyped for this pack!! Absolutely love the pond you can actually put fish in! Makes up a little for ponds not being added along to terrain.
You could make the coolest giant golden fancy pants hotel with some of this stuff!!!!

The reason as to why they don’t add kitchen counters is because kitchen counters count as nine items because of the different styles, so instead of adding kitchen counters they’d rather add other items because they normally only count as one thing

I read once that they hate making counters because they have to make so many of them. The regular counters, the corner pieces, the islands (including the circular ones), the overhead cabinets (full and half size), the "pantry" looking pieces. Not to come to their defense or anything because I would love to have more counters, but it's also understandable for me as well why there aren't many xD

Disappointed at the lack of kitchen stuff this would have been a perfect opportunity to add them in. I noticed 2 things that are already similar to things we have from citi living and dine out. I agree with you too many bars give me some counters!

Thank you for the overview! I wasn't really sold on this pack yet but seeing all the nice items has me thinking I will get it after all.
I don't mind too much that there is no kitchen counter set, since I know gurus have said before counter items take up a lot of their item count for a pack and for this one it's definitely better they put the focus on the stage props instead. Shame there was no new fridge or stove though but maybe next pack? :)

love this video! I appreciate your honest opinion on these items. Just a suggestion though, to avoid missing items or something, why don’t you set all of this up ahead of time & then go through it showing up swatches & combinations you put together ahead of time that matches/goes well together while trying to stick to only this pack/expansion kind of like how James does it? It just seems to work really well with showcasing everything. It requires a lot of preplanning though 🤷🏼♀️

1. Ehum. COUNTERS?!
2. €40,- is a lot of money.... For a digital pack😅
3. No new instruments?
But my likes.....:
1. Love the 'diva' stuff!
2. You have a lot of options to get famous! Love that!
3. The new world is small but very detailed!
4. The wall-art is BEAUTIFUL😍

This pack is literally perfect for my type of gameplay and I love the extra themes and I love doing modelling, acting, singing and dancing on sims (I mean slightly because some of that is things I have a deep passion for irl) and like the sets and over the top furniture is just perfect for me

I'm excited for the ruined building set pieces since I'm building my island in Windenburg to have a bunch of old, kind of decrepit and refurbished buildings in it and that's gonna work so well for it. Other than that though, I feel like a lot of the stuff from this pack is gonna be hard to use : /
They need to do a kitchen pack with a few styles.
