Love the way it comes together! Gonna keep watching videos before I buy one, they’re pretty expensive from what I can see and I don’t go clubbing anymore at 38 with three kids, but feel like this would be reallly fun to do in private for my partner and if I ever do hit the night scene again (maybe when my kids are out of the house, 10 years to go.. would a 50yo using a pixel whip be creepy? 😂), a talent that would be fun to share!
I actually am beyond and over clubbing (even festivaling) as I’m now 34. It’s primary purpose for me is to uplift my mood (express creatively), get me in my body, stay in shape, and seduce my man. I’ll have to do more tutorials talking about this. It’s highly effective at grabbing the man you want, holding his attention, or reinvigorating his lust for you.

Once you get a feel for the flow and your own style, doing it regularly becomes easy and then your dance becomes easy through all the practice. I'm wishing you luck but you'll find you don't need it as you create your own with the whip. 🌟

I'm 5'5" and my whip is arm-spanned length when I hold the handle in one hand and stretch across my chest, the ends of the fibers in the other. I just videoed a whip comparison between the Spacewhip and Fiberflies v.4 last night. I'm still working on it, but both whips are roughly the same length, which is the perfect length for us, except Fiberflies is a bit too long. I'm going to cut the ends down a little. I'm really wanting to buy my own whip and learn to dance, but I'm having a hard time finding information on which whips would be best (difference in fiber size and usability for beginners)? Also, I'm 5 foot 2, if that matters. Any advice much appreciated. 💗
Grrr---UA-cam didn't notify my of your comment otherwise I would have responded sooner! I recommend Fiberflies because the fibers are the thinnest, making the whip the lightest that I've tried. If you're finding the fibers keep getting caught, you can cut them shorter. It makes the whip easier to move!
Hey, Rachel! Did you end up buying a whip? I just videoed a whip comparison video last night showing the differences between the two you can buy today-- Pixelwhip v.4 and Spacewhip Remix. I'm not doing with the video yet, but I just wrote a lengthy reply to someone else who asked this question in the comments. Here it is: The better whip in terms of appearance and how it feels is Fiberflies, but the Spacewhip wins on durability. It's heavier and there are twice as many fibers while Fiberflies loses fibers pretty easily, like, straight out of the bag (Spacewhip doesn't come with a bag), so you have to be gentle with it. The best flows are under control and fluid, not violent and chaotic, so this isn't a dealbreaker IMO, and I've got some ideas on how I might be able to reattach fibers (another video coming soon). Because there are more fibers on the Spacewhip, it hurts twice as much when it hits you. I hit myself in the face last night (I was wearing eye protection, thank God!) and it felt like someone slapped me. The worst I got from Fiberflies is a few speckled lashes. The Spacewhip is capable of real damage. The Spacewhip is also "sticky" feeling while Fiberflies is "silky." When you dance with it the fibers don't come apart the way that the Fiberflies fibers do. They don't say what material they use for the fibers, but my guess would be a cheaper version of the PMMA fiber optics that Fiberflies are built from. This material could also be more durable, but I'll have to continue using the whip for longer to find out. The Spacewhip doesn't glow as bright, and I haven't figured out if that's because of the fibers or because the LED in the handle isn't as powerful. However, the Spacewhip "Sparkle" head glows bright throughout. It's quite a different aesthetic though, but still cool, and makes the "stickiness" also more forgivable as an aesthetic. Both whips work for lightwhip flowing so neither have deal breakers and both whips have LOTS of color modes. I hope this helps! I've been doing it for 5 years now (but more like "5 seasons" since I tend to pick it up around festival season and I won't touch it for months on end otherwise). I started wowing people with it within the first couple times of using it though using the moves I teach here. My next tutorial is on how to whip around and with others, and make it more of an interactive performance with power. It should be up by this weekend!

The best tutorial omfg. I got the space whip and the instructions say to grease it using their flowgrease. Just wondering if you use something similar?
I've tried using "lube" but, honestly, it's really not necessary. I think it's the biggest scam in the lightwhip community. If you need lube, you're doing it wrong. XD
I bought the flowgrease ($15!? ARGH!) so that I could show why no one needs to lube their whip and how they should generate a triboelectric charge instead of they want their whip to flow smoother. I also just bought the Spacewhip to do a comparison video with the Fiberflies Pixelwhip. So far, the Spacewhip is much "stickier" straight out of the box so it makes me think the material isn't the same PMMA fiber optics that Fiberflies uses. To not get caught in your whip, the best way is to make sure it's clean (it picks up sweat QUICK, but you can clean it with dish soap--the material is "acrylic"--the same as many plastics you have in your house) and to make sure all your skin that the whip touches is covered, ideally with a synthetic fabric as it can feel "sticky" with cotton. Synthetic fabrics work best. There is a way to create a triboelectric charge between you and the whip which will cause it to glide over your body. I'll go into this in a video I'm currently working on. Oh, and, no jewelry and don't use lube on your whip. It doesn't help and just gets all over your clothes.

Love the way it comes together! Gonna keep watching videos before I buy one, they’re pretty expensive from what I can see and I don’t go clubbing anymore at 38 with three kids, but feel like this would be reallly fun to do in private for my partner and if I ever do hit the night scene again (maybe when my kids are out of the house, 10 years to go.. would a 50yo using a pixel whip be creepy? 😂), a talent that would be fun to share!
I actually am beyond and over clubbing (even festivaling) as I’m now 34. It’s primary purpose for me is to uplift my mood (express creatively), get me in my body, stay in shape, and seduce my man. I’ll have to do more tutorials talking about this. It’s highly effective at grabbing the man you want, holding his attention, or reinvigorating his lust for you.

How long is your whip? How long would you recommend for someone who is 5’5?
I'm 5'5" and my whip is arm-spanned length when I hold the handle in one hand and stretch across my chest, the ends of the fibers in the other. I just videoed a whip comparison between the Spacewhip and Fiberflies v.4 last night. I'm still working on it, but both whips are roughly the same length, which is the perfect length for us, except Fiberflies is a bit too long. I'm going to cut the ends down a little. I'm really wanting to buy my own whip and learn to dance, but I'm having a hard time finding information on which whips would be best (difference in fiber size and usability for beginners)? Also, I'm 5 foot 2, if that matters. Any advice much appreciated. 💗
Rachel Gray I’m 5”4 and I bought a 6 foot one and ended up trimming it 1.5-2ft and it’s perfect now so I’d say 4 ft is perfect.
Grrr---UA-cam didn't notify my of your comment otherwise I would have responded sooner! I recommend Fiberflies because the fibers are the thinnest, making the whip the lightest that I've tried. If you're finding the fibers keep getting caught, you can cut them shorter. It makes the whip easier to move!
Hey, Rachel! Did you end up buying a whip? I just videoed a whip comparison video last night showing the differences between the two you can buy today-- Pixelwhip v.4 and Spacewhip Remix. I'm not doing with the video yet, but I just wrote a lengthy reply to someone else who asked this question in the comments. Here it is: The better whip in terms of appearance and how it feels is Fiberflies, but the Spacewhip wins on durability. It's heavier and there are twice as many fibers while Fiberflies loses fibers pretty easily, like, straight out of the bag (Spacewhip doesn't come with a bag), so you have to be gentle with it. The best flows are under control and fluid, not violent and chaotic, so this isn't a dealbreaker IMO, and I've got some ideas on how I might be able to reattach fibers (another video coming soon). Because there are more fibers on the Spacewhip, it hurts twice as much when it hits you. I hit myself in the face last night (I was wearing eye protection, thank God!) and it felt like someone slapped me. The worst I got from Fiberflies is a few speckled lashes. The Spacewhip is capable of real damage. The Spacewhip is also "sticky" feeling while Fiberflies is "silky." When you dance with it the fibers don't come apart the way that the Fiberflies fibers do. They don't say what material they use for the fibers, but my guess would be a cheaper version of the PMMA fiber optics that Fiberflies are built from. This material could also be more durable, but I'll have to continue using the whip for longer to find out. The Spacewhip doesn't glow as bright, and I haven't figured out if that's because of the fibers or because the LED in the handle isn't as powerful. However, the Spacewhip "Sparkle" head glows bright throughout. It's quite a different aesthetic though, but still cool, and makes the "stickiness" also more forgivable as an aesthetic. Both whips work for lightwhip flowing so neither have deal breakers and both whips have LOTS of color modes. I hope this helps! Oh, also, I recommend your whip be the length of your arm span from handle to tip, so that can give you some guidance on where you can cut it.

I've been doing it for 5 years now (but more like "5 seasons" since I tend to pick it up around festival season and I won't touch it for months on end otherwise). I started wowing people with it within the first couple times of using it though using the moves I teach here. My next tutorial is on how to whip around and with others, and make it more of an interactive performance with power. It should be up by this weekend!

The best tutorial omfg. I got the space whip and the instructions say to grease it using their flowgrease. Just wondering if you use something similar?
I've tried using "lube" but, honestly, it's really not necessary. I think it's the biggest scam in the lightwhip community. If you need lube, you're doing it wrong. XD
I bought the flowgrease ($15!? ARGH!) so that I could show why no one needs to lube their whip and how they should generate a triboelectric charge instead of they want their whip to flow smoother. I also just bought the Spacewhip to do a comparison video with the Fiberflies Pixelwhip. So far, the Spacewhip is much "stickier" straight out of the box so it makes me think the material isn't the same PMMA fiber optics that Fiberflies uses. To not get caught in your whip, the best way is to make sure it's clean (it picks up sweat QUICK, but you can clean it with dish soap--the material is "acrylic"--the same as many plastics you have in your house) and to make sure all your skin that the whip touches is covered, ideally with a synthetic fabric as it can feel "sticky" with cotton. What is the best clothing material for the whip?
Synthetic fabrics work best. There is a way to create a triboelectric charge between you and the whip which will cause it to glide over your body. I'll go into this in a video I'm currently working on. Oh, and, no jewelry and don't use lube on your whip. It doesn't help and just gets all over your clothes.
