    I never would have thought this interview would happen. I could pick his brain for hours, because Rick was always the most interesting and charismatic wrestler in my opinion. Thanks for doing this interview Jack. Thank you too Rick. I thought the world of your dad, and always will. I'm sure he's very proud of you. God Bless!

    “All it takes is for you to make an example out of someone one time, in front of a group of people, and none of those people will ever mess with you again.” That is awesome advice for kids growing up. That’s better than any anti-bullying program.

    I have a feeling that if Rick Rude Sr. were still alive today, he would be quite proud of his son. Jr. seems to have a good head on his shoulders and is not content merely to ride on his late father's coattails.

    Great interview! Rick JR’s a great guy cherishing his father’s achievement in professional wrestling and love of his family. To this day I think Rick ranks top as WWF’s IC Champ and NWA World Champ. Those golds looked ravishing around his waist and made him even more ravishing. Mad respect to the Rudes!!

      It’s ashamed that his career was cut short. Before he got hurt, it looked like he was going on a big babyface run. I wished the interviewer would have asked him about the Montreal screw job. Rude was in the locker room that night standing by his friends side.

    Hey I lived in the same neighborhood in Alpharetta where Rick and his family lived for a short time. I always had great interactions with Rick and many good times/moments. For ex: when we were at the neighborhood pool, we would put our kids on our shoulders and play pool volleyball. The kids were prob around 5-7 years old. Ricky on Rick shoulders and my kid up on my shoulders like chicken fights. We would play volleyball and let the kids hit it over the net back and forth in the shallow. I'm 6 5" so the height worked out well. Ricky and my kid always had huge smiles on their faces when we did this. Rick and I would do this for like an hour as we never got tired of it. Rick and I would have a drink sometimes at the pool and talk about the differences of rough fathers that did not hug their kids back when we grew up but we both felt comfortable making sure our kids felt loved all the time and not afraid to show it. He was a great guy and neighbor to me, and it was beyond sad when he passed while living there. His funeral showing was crowded and though mostly private they did let a few fans with Rick Rude t-shirts that showed up and seemed genuine attend the showing for a few minutes. I thought that was classy as the few fans they allowed in were legitimate and just wanted to say goodbye. There were also several big wrestling names there but no one was not in funeral attire as it was very sad. Whenever I see anything on wrestling, I think of Rick, and he passed way too soon. One funny story Rick told me. Rick would always get a first-class ticket to be comfortable. He did not always have time to lift weights etc. so he would hook himself up while flying to tens units, one on each leg and one on each arm/bicep. He taught himself to fall asleep while they were working and going off every minute for 20 seconds, buzz, buzz, buzz. He said the looks on the businesspeople in first class when he would wake up and look at them was hysterical after they witnessed that. I will remember him happy and enjoying family time at the pool.

    Loved Rude. Saw him twice in 93 on UK tour’s. Once vs Flair and the other a tag match. He was one of the wrestler who was bigger in the flesh. Overall bulkier than I expected. He was in incredible shape in WCW 91-94

    I assumed his father beat up Warrior in Toronto was at WrestleMania 6. I can understand why Vince almost fired Rude for that because it would jeopardize the main event leaving fans disappointed. But I'm glad rude didn't get fired. Though Rude would leave WWE later that year after WrestleMania.
    Great to hear from his Son that everyone truly respects Rick Rude.

      Rude didn't lay Warrior out at maina 6 Warrior went back and they couldn't find him when Vince did he was crying in a little room by himself because he set a goal and he achieved it ,that's why Shane McMahon saw this to talked about it a few good times, how people say he hates the business and Shane said that's not true and he tells the story, Warrior said he went to eat after with his first wife, and his agent, by the way Warrior and Rude were working out before SummerSlam 90 when they were in the big blue cage, Warrior had keys to a lot of gyms, he would go at night time when they were closed and Rude was with him ,makes sense that's when Rude cut his hair and that was the best shape Rude was in Warrior said this in a interview, that he would pick on him because he didn't like doing legs , that was Rude,s last match in wwf he was pissed about his pay check and I don't blame him believe he goes 18 grand , this Warrior Rude shit didn't start intill Beefcake , started it on a podcast 2018ish then Flair was on a podcast and whoever he was talking to, he said did you hear Rude beat up Warrior like he just heard about it, then koko jumped in and another one of hulks buddies, funny Hulk wouldn't even get in the ring with Rude, one time and it was a tag match, only rumor I heard was Rude slapped Warrior in the locker room , because he told Rude Vince wouldn't put the belt on him don't even know if that was true, since 2018ish was the first time that slapped story now is Rude beat the shit out of him ,thanks Beefcake, just like Beefcake said Warrior was going to quit if he didn't get the belt ,bullshit Warrior wasn't making shit for money until he after SummerSlam 88 ,the fans went crazy 4 him that's why the put the ic belt on him , he was way more popular then Beefcake, he can't get over it makes up as many lies as Hulk does, he learned from the best

    I'm not sure if his son knows it, but I knocked Rude out, in a bare fight, in Minnesota. No disrespect meant, as I love the guy, but that night he was really really feeling his oats. I've always felt terrible about it with his untimely death, as well, and wish his son the best!!!

      @christophertyler3425 Рік тому

      @@Franco-zq4cs I did, and it would be ridiculous to lie, as I'm not only quite wealthy but have a reputation to protect.
      And, as I'm a master in Jiu Jitsu, boxing, and Krav Maga, it came as no surprise to me, when people like Dan Severn, who doesn't boast about anything, is probably the best fighter ever. I probably, too, should have never said, anything, but I was watching Tank Abbott go on and on with a terrible record and it ticks me off. Nonetheless, I probably should not have said anything as people talk about Orndorff, beating Atlas, and it's another crock story. I wish you well!!!

      Just curious, what year did you knock Rude out?

    • @christophertyler3425
      @christophertyler3425 Рік тому

      As best I remember it had to be the early, early 80s, and I'm not claiming to be some tough guy, because I know, more so than anyone, that on a given night if you have people who have various skill sets, anything can happen. Of course, most times being well trained and skilled can help, but when things are a total mess - as they were that night - anything can happen. It's why I preach and preach, to everyone, to not get involved in what would be called a 'street fight' as anything can happen and usually it's not good!!!

    • @robertathey8504
      @robertathey8504 Рік тому

      @@christophertyler3425 you were way way ahead of your time to be a master in ju jitsu. Did he just have no defense? I saw him at the gym when wrestling came to town. I was 6ft 3 and about 225 but he was a big dude. A little taller and heavier. I know size means nothing when you are a trained fighter. I read Rude had some boxing in his background
