《我悔改了 為什麼仍然無法停止犯罪？》
這是許多基督徒都會有的問題，從我們知道耶穌在十架上擔當世人的罪的那一刻起，就會活在一種矛盾的情緒裡：既然耶穌已赦免我們的罪，那麼悔改還有意義嗎？若我們脫離罪人的身分，那麼為何還會持續犯罪呢？這是一個很嚴肅的問題，聖經裡有許多經文提到類似的事情。神學家約翰．派柏（John Piper）牧師，也寫了一篇文章來回應…
真正的悔改代表從此不再犯罪嗎？
「信心若沒有行為就是死的。」、「…非聖潔沒有人能見主。」（希伯來書12:14）、「你們若愛我，就必遵守我的命令。」（約翰福音14:15）這些經文都提到一件事，有信心的基督徒理當追求聖潔和遵守主的命令。
對付罪不是一次性的事
有人問：「真實的悔改是否代表著不會再犯同樣的罪？如果我不斷犯重覆的罪，那麼我的悔改還有意義嗎？」約翰．派柏建議，比起用「悔改」這兩個字，使用「對付」能更貼切描述我們與罪每一天的爭戰。
我們很有可能一邊說著「赦免我們的罪」，同時還持續活在罪中。罪是什麼呢？罪是我們的心背離神的一種光景。舉凡每天的思想、態度、說出來的話，乃至臉部表情，只要偏離神的心意，就是我們要認真對付的事。
只要我們還活在世上的一天，罪就會持續出現在生命中，因我們永遠不可能成為完全。舊約提到的悔改，指的是一種更基本的改變：轉換我們的心思意念，好更像神；啟示錄談到的悔改，包含更嚴肅的意涵--若不悔改，無法進神的國。
活在新約時代的我們，從約翰壹書1章8到9節的經文可明白，「我們若說自己無罪，便是自欺，真理不在我們心裡了。我們若認自己的罪，神是信實的，是公義的，必要赦免我們的罪，洗淨我們一切的不義。」這裡使用的是「認罪」而不是「悔改」，前者更有每一天來到神面前對付罪的意思，而並非指一次性的悔改就結束。
你的認罪停在哪個層次？
那些無法根除的罪，常讓我們懷疑自己身為基督徒的身分。認罪有兩種，我們會犯的罪也可以分成兩種。
第一種認罪，是向上帝表達我們的虧欠和罪咎感，但在心底，我們知道自己會再次犯罪。這種認罪是非常表淺的。
另一種認罪，我們不只是表達自己的虧欠，更是打從心底恨惡那樣的罪。當我們來到上帝面前認罪，同時也在求神給我們力量勝過罪──或許就在今天晚上，你知道在罪面前的爭戰如此之大，以至於你迫切需要上帝幫助。
你會非常努力想辦法治死那樣的罪，並抓住聖靈賜下的力量。這樣的認罪非常真實，一點也不虛假。
你犯的是哪種罪？
我們通常不會察覺到第一種罪，當我們意識到這件事，錯誤已造成。舉例來說，無法控制的憤怒、潛藏在心裡的自大驕傲…等，這樣的罪，我們並非故意為之。
另一種情況則是，我們知道自己會犯罪，你知道這樣做是不對的，當下卻很認真的在考慮是否要這樣做──可能是看色情影片、說謊、拜偶像…。你有掙扎，但仍去做了。
留心通往毀滅的道路
相信基督徒都犯過這兩種罪，畢竟沒有一個人是完全的。然而，第二種罪相當危險，因我們知道那是錯的；若這類型的罪沒與真實的認罪連結，會扭曲信仰，進而成為虛假偽善的基督徒。
為何即使認罪了，同樣的罪仍持續發生？約翰．派柏說，我們要檢視自己的認罪是虛假，或者真實，所犯的罪是無意識的，還是有意為之。罪不會消失，直到我們內心景況真實在基督面前被改變。
保羅在羅馬書裡7章16到18節說，「若我所做的，是我所不願意的，我就應承律法是善的。既是這樣，就不是我做的，乃是住在我裡頭的罪做的。我也知道，在我裡頭，就是我肉體之中，沒有良善。因為立志為善由得我，只是行出來由不得我。」當我們認知到自己在罪的面前，有多麼軟弱，就會做出與保羅同樣的結論──
「我真是苦啊！誰能救我脫離這取死的身體呢？感謝神！靠著我們的主耶穌基督就能脫離了。」（羅馬書7:24）我們會犯罪的事實，並不會影響上帝對我們的揀選，因早在我們認識神以前，祂已定意為世人而死。
我們更要思考的是，若基督在生命中的工作是真實存在的，我們是否願意、能否夠更迫切地活出榮耀祂的樣式？
我們不能用好行為來換取救恩，但可以用好行為來回應救恩。
