Happy Playing 💕
This was by far the easiest reading music video I've found! I just ordered a 10 string lyre and this video will help me start out so much easier. I'm a complete newbie to a musical instrument that requires reading music. I've played Native American flute for almost 10 years, but they use a tablature system so I never learned to read "real" music 🎶 thank you!
You're very welcome 🙏 🤗 I hope you enjoy playing the lyre
I agree. This is the best music reading video I have ever seen. Oh my gosh. The reason I never learned music is because I could never understand it. She explained it so well. Thank you so much. This video has changed my life.
you are amazing thank you I've been trying to re-learn music this helps me out alottt :)
Thank you. I’m truly glad this helped you ❤️
Great tutorial. Thank you! I've been working on memorizing which string represents which note so it's automatic at a glance. I think this is going to be a great help.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you found the video helpful. ❤️

You're welcome. It is my intention and goal to make reading notes for lyres very simple for beginners to learn. :)
Thank You. Very easy to follow.

Throwback to grade school! This was an awesome refresher, thank you!
Yes, the one great thing about foundations and basics is they stay the same. Thank you for watching 😃👍
thanks
You are most welcome :)
This is great - Question, on the g-clef staff, where does the middle c show up? Is it the line below the staff, or on the third space, or the second line above the staff?
Middle C (C4) goes on the first line below the staff, the lines and spaces below this would represent notes that forms the octave below and would fall in the bass (F clef) in descending order B3 - C3. 16 string lyres only have 3 bass notes G3,A3,B3 so sometimes it’s easier to just have one staff and represent these notes as lines and spaces below middle C rather than having a grand staff
thx
You're very welcome :)
I only have 1 C. Please advise, serious newbie.
Thank you so much!! I have 10 strings, what's difference? My strings are EFGABCDEFG.
Sorry for the late response. I have decided to create a deck and put a video to answer your question. I'm hoping to finish it this week. Hopefully it will be useful or at least create engagement and dialog for others to join in and we can help each other learn more
@@learningthelyreharp So thankful!! Your an excellent teacher.
May I know is there any zero notes ?
Numbers 1 to 7 represent the scale degree and they always correspond to the diatonic major scale. For example, in the key of C, their relationship with the notes and solfege is as follows: Number 1234567 equals Note:CDEFGAB and Solfege: do re mi fa so la ti. Zero is represented by a rest sign depending on value or length of absence of sound. I hope this helps. 😊
