@@kurtloban3664 Hadres had 1 flag and 1400 points, so at 1 point per second he would win after 100 seconds. Chromosumo had 1302 points, 198 needed to win. At 2 points per second he won after 99 seconds.
In other words, if you have 1400 points and only one flag, you need your opponent to have less than 1300 points.
That might be my favorite match ive ever seen you post. WOW. What a good Bretonnia player. Using pegasus knights to cut off reinforcements was INCREDIBLE. What a play.

This is just peak WH3, brave knights vs nasty demons, dynamic tactical action over a great map, two evenly matched players. It’s even set on Bordeleaux Landing, Alberic’s home turf. Great game!
Funny thing, that Alberic avoids alcohol despite being in charge of greatest vineries in the Bretonnia.

Seeing those grail guardians rear charge those chosen of nurgle turned me on so much! The use of the fr*nch's mobility throughout the match was nothing short of top tier. I learned so much from this match. Truly.

Would be great to see Bretonnia getting a little something from CA, like a generic lord and a hero, just to give them more options.

I wouldn't give them anything on scale of thrones of decay, but I do think they deserve at least one more dlc! Maybe a Wood Elves Vs Bretonnia theme?
Lorewise, battle pilgrims are as crazy as flagellants. They stand on business.
If the point tickers' values are available to modders, it should be possible to make a “who's winning during double cap” mod by comparing the values. If 1500 - [double capper's points] < 2 * (1500 - [single capper's points]), double capper is winning. Time remaining is simply 1500 - the victor's points in seconds.

Baron Harkonen has a bell so large I'm pretty sure the entire Nurgle army heard it. Very cool match! Some of my most favourite factions here.

I love seeing the Bretonnian player play super well, utilizing micro and cav tactics to attack and isolate units. And then the Nurgle player just needs to blob fight in mid to win lol

This game isn't beautiful just because of the 1 point win, but because of how perfectly both sides played. It's hard to find obvious mistakes on either side, except maybe the rotknights :)
Insane match. Don't even think that Rot Knights are that bad, just a micro blunder there from Hadres. They are really good if you can sneak them around and cut off cav reinforcements
Man i am so happy cavalry impact is good nowadays.
When I think back to ye olden Warhammer days where cav charges were just super limp it makes me sad.
I think heavy cavalry was always good in multiplayer. They aren't that strong in single player due to the prevalence of heavy armor after mid-game and the micro required is not optimal in 20vs20+ battles.

I think the Rot Knights are a fine call, but just need to be careful to not get them charged upon entry. If the Pegasus knights hadn't got them I think they help negate some of Bretonia's cav

Crazy that the Bretonnia player did not bring the weapon for the lord the trident, that wind spell is really good and gives a big leadership debuff.
Sadly the Spend just didnt work out, I wouldve had to put the Damsel on a horse instead of her unicorn which means she gets oneshot by Rancid.
Downgrading one of the battlepilgrims also hurts imo!

I wonder why hadres was confident enough to bring a lot of missile vulnerable units but decided against plague ogres. I just feel like the Bret cavalry spent the whole game grinding everything that spawned in and because he had nothing to come in and deal with them other than the rot knights, that got immediately spawn jumped, it really hurt him. If 2 plague ogres with halberds popped out I feel like even grail guardians would struggle to just deal with those.
Grail guardians are deceptively good vs monter infantry in my experience, since they dont send models flying , the 3 attacks after the charge deal a lot of damage if there is a moderately good attack surface. And they have the Mdef to stand those seconds in combat generally.

The Bretonnian player gave us quite the masterclass on mobility play and the Nurgle player did a great job playing to Nurgle's strengths - which the Rot Knights are not, sadly.

No idea how you play Against the Bretonnian Grail Squad, Feels like your best answer is just a Bjuna when they go for the charge and just hope they lose models in the exchange? Life magic does alot to counter it though.
Is the 'Calvary' thing intentional? If so, sorry, but that drives me crazy. Calvary is a hill in Jerusalem. Cavalry is mounted soldiers.

Has any thought been given to a demo video of a tabletop game? I’ve never seen tabletop played and I always like to hear your thoughts on the similarities differences and performance of units in the different modes. I’d really enjoy seeing a video of tabletop being played out to just see it-obviously I don’t know how feasible it would be but just wanted to mention it. Thanks for the great content!
Damn, that's probably one of the best matches I've seen. On the topic of the rot knights, do you think Nurgle Chaos Knights could have been better here, or do they not really have much in the way of targets in this Bretonnia build?
With a match *that close* I think. I do genuinely think that if that unit of chosen that was standing around in the midgame doing nothing had gotten in and kept accruing value. If the GUO had been committed to the middle more consistently. Nurgle would have taken it. The ability to drop pestigors and maybe a recall of the frolickers make holding it for any length of time difficult? I know this is armchair commentary and hindsight for that matter but. Without those tiny misplays I'm sure they could have clutched it.

I wish that the scores ticked down rather than up. Is x>2y is so much easier and instinctual than is 1500-x>2(1500-y).

Goddamn, what a match. Rot knights were definitely a liability unfortunately but damn. The Nurgle lord going down in the last few seconds of the game gave it a properly climactic feeling too, which a lot of close dom matches can kinda lack imo. Top notch.
Dang, if only turin would at the very least zip his cursor over each unit while hovering over the big performers. It doesn't take much time and would allow those who want to see the values of specific unit the ability to pause and see the values.

Those Rot Knights were godawful. Are they really that bad that they'll lose half of their health, despite being a Nurgle unit, just from being charged by another elite cavalry unit?
They have regen. If they had the armor and MD of chaos knights people would cry.

rot knights are probably better for land battles. It's a well designed unit, it smoothes a weakness of nurgle without being good enough to change nurgle's playstyle.
