The haybob does a pretty good job. Good choice in tunes, Toby Keith is one I like to listen to. Looking forward to the rest of the process. It won't be long before I'll be firing out videos for you guys to watch of the old 806 rolling across the field. LOL Stay safe.
Thanks! Yeah, older Toby is one of my favorites. Most of the country from the 90's was pretty good in my book. I'm really looking forward to seeing ya hay man! Take care
@@DennysCountryLife I learned my lesson last year... no matter how good the forecast I won't cut before mid May again. It took a solid WEEK for me to dry that hay last year. I got so lucky it didn't rain. I saw people cutting hay this past week here, and most of it got rained on Friday. Saw them baling it up on Saturday. Just shook my head.
Sometimes I get that with really thick canary grass. The tines on these don't spin very fast compared to regular tedders, and the geometry is totally different on how it flings the grass. I really would love a good four basket tedder one day! Thanks for watching James
I just bought a PZ 360 Tedder, is there anyway you could do a video or when you use it again next spring can you go into detail on setting it up for tedding and raking. I have ordered a operators manual, but sometimes a video is better. Mine has a flap right below the top bar and I think it's use to shift the tedder or move your windrow over more to the side? I recently watched a video of another farmer that pulled some levers and moved it into the transport mode. Anything you could do to help a newbie. I plan on using it to ted and rake with. My hay field is 17 acres of costal in Texas.
at least you are getting it flipped over. in a pinch check out harbor freight they may have that size of tire, tires are decent the rime is junk only has a bushing in them wont last long you can put the tire and tube on old rim if any thing is left. looking forward for the grapple vid.
That's not a bad idea for an emergency fix. Thanks! I'll definitely get some good footage of the grapple for ya. I'm really looking forward to trying it out!
You might check M.E. Miller tire online. They usually carry the oddball ag tires. Nice video... We’re lucky I suppose on this side. I don’t know of anyone who teds. We have them hot temps and low humidity. I wonder is the big bump is an old dead furrow?
Yes, you guys have it pretty good there for drying hay! Also for growing alfalfa. It does ok over here, but nothing like on your side of the mountains. Thanks for the info on tires, I'll definitely give them a shot. I have no idea what the long bump is from. I would sure like to get rid of it though! Lol.
Lol, I was using my Amish drone this time. I got a drone a long time ago, but never really use it. I can't seem to figure out how to get follow me mode to work. Without follow me mode, driving tractor and piloting gets WAY too hectic. It's also a huge inconvenience when you're in a hurry to get hay done.
Joshua Lane Yes it does. It has the transport lock. I like having a three point tedder just because of how simple transport is. Thanks for watching Josh!
Have you had to replace any springs or tines? I am looking for somewhere to order them without paying all the shipping cost from England. I want to totally rebuild the springs and such.
I have, and I get them from my local Case IH dealer. They happen to be the Kuhn dealer, which bought PZ back in 2009. So just look for you local Kuhn dealer. Best of luck!
@@frugalhayfarmer8112 the shipping cost from England will now increase significantly due to Brexit. Find an alternative supplier if you can. Best of luck.
looks pretty cool seeing the hay flying never seen tedding here. looks like old bob works well.
Yeah, it's a necessity out here. Not something you want to use on alfalfa, too much leaf lose. Thanks for watching!

nice video, thanks for making it. sometimes finding the right size tire can be a real pain. nice song.
Thanks Soybean Farmer! I'm glad you enjoyed it
Looking good Denny! I just started putting my hay vids on. First cut started Apr 28 over here in GA.
Awesome man! It's almost that time of year again. Maybe it is for some people!

Great video really enjoying your channel man
Thanks Nate! I really appreciate that!
The only problem is now I want to buy hay equipment I've been getting everything custom Baled
I have the exact same one it's a disaster in thick hay as it leaves it in lumps which you have to spread out with a pitch fork. Good video

Man looks like the haybob does a nice job.
Thanks bud!
Looks like it does a good job :)
Yeah, not too bad! Thanks!
does a good job!
Thanks man! Not bad
That works pretty good. A tedder would spread the hay out more, but use what you have!!
One day when I'm a grown up, I'll have a real tedder! Lol. Thanks a lot for watching!
Seems like it slings the hay pretty decent! I have never seen one of those.
Thanks, it's effective. Takes a long time to get it done though! Ha ha

You got a drone. Goin all UA-cam mode. You just have like a follow me option on it?

The only reason to haveca combo machine is so u can save money. It sucks tedding and raking. Just get a real tedder and move on.
I have moved on from here. The haybob has it's place
It also saves an immense amount of time changing machines etc. Great machine
