Windsor Phoenix: Remembering the 1979 Tornado Virtual Exhibit

In October 2019, Windsor Historical Society premiered a documentary entitled Windsor Phoenix: Remembering the 1979 Tornado. This included interviews with nearly forty Windsor residents who experienced the tornado, including former Town Manager Albert Ilg and Poquonock Fire Chief John Silliman.
Narrated by WHS Curator Kristen Wands, this virtual tour of the exhibition that coincided with the documentary features photographs, documents, and other artifacts that tell the story of the tragedy.
