There's so much beauty in your video. I am always amazed. Thank you for sharing this with all of us!
CC9 Paya Lebar is just the same as NS16 Ang Mo Kio where trains from One of the terminus will end at a station with the middle platform
Yes similar

@@SG3054M sorry for my mistake, I will edit it now
The middle platform is used to send the train to Bishan depot.
Here’s a even bizarre one today : A C830 arriving at Paya Lebar Platform A as ‘Do not board’ but when it arrives, everyone is still onboard including the Marshall staffs from Stadium and the onboard TTIS is showing ‘This train service ends at CC18 Bukit Brown’ WTF LMAO?
I suspect it’s going to Tai Seng and some programming error incorrectly showing the destination
Lol Bukit brown , ultra sus
I heard some trains from dhoby ghaut to paya lebar ends, and the middle platform started end at Harbourfront
Paya Lebar is similar to Ang Mo Kio station with the train terminating at the middle platform (on my way to NS10 Admiralty I saw a train terminating at AMK station.) But why build a middle platform? If its not in use put a non-service train there and maybe use it as a link bridge to the other platform or as a standby if a train near Paya Lebar breaks down.
Meant for trains to end service at an interchange station before returning to Tai Seng Depot
Strange for them to build the double island so faraway from the depot tho… Tanah Merah JE and AMK are all next to their respective depots
CC9 HAS A MIDDLE PLATFORM?!?!
Pretty sure back in like 2010-2012, trains heading towards Marymount uses the Middle Platform instead of Platform A before they switched(I think it was before the stretch to Harbourfront was open). Always wonder why they changed the platforms🤔Always i always wonder why smrt train lines have a middle platform for every line besides bplrt. Eg: Ang Mo Kio on NSL, Tanah Merah on EWL, Paya Lebar on CCL and inassume there might be a middle platform for TEL(maybe?). Meanwhile Neither NEL or DTL has a middle platform and unlike smrt which usually have half trips that terminate at certain stations like Yishun Bound, Ang Mio Kio Bound etc, SBS transit dont practice this for their lines. You would think at least the DTL would practice this considering the long stretch. Tbh having a middle platform is kinda useful...eg: Train has faults and need to detrain, it wont cause a bunch from behind or if the usual Platform is suffering a fault, can use the other one. But i guess NEL/DTL has sidings to place those faulty trains if needed.

Also EW4 Tanah Merah isn’t the same as NS16 Ang Mo Kio and CC8 Paya Lebar, the middle platform was only for Changi Airport bound trains
@@StatisticsRepublic Still a middle platform even though its one that operates with trains running on it
@@StatisticsRepublic Tanah Merah will become Spanish solution for the Changi Airport bound trains - alighting use existing platform while boarding use old EB track. The new EB track is for EB platform.
I remember the original plans for the DTL included a middle platform @ Bedok N MRT station too
Great video!
It’s happened to me a couple of times, especially at around 6pm
0:30 C830 825 in paya lebar interchange
I wonder, if you got on the train when it arrived at the middle platform, could you sneak yourself into a depot?
I suppose staff would walk through the train to check before it heads back to the depot
Not many train uses the middle sliding
Yeah, I think it's more of a peak hour thing? Not sure
