This video proves more than anything I've seen in ages that a single zoom lens and fixed camera angles, even without any camera movement, along with clever editing and sound design, is all you need to craft a compelling story telling experience. Love it Danny. Love everything you do!

Gimbals and sliders and jibs have been so overused in the last half decade, that a really well framed locked off shot looks unique now. I'll take a single strong composition over camera movement any day.
Which zoom lens? I'm about to buy a good-quality zoom lens to simplify my life as a vlogger. Haha! As I'm currently filming with a Sony (a7iv), so I was thinking about the GM 16-35 2.8. It seems to be widely recommended, but it's a budget...

Love to see your short UA-cam videos coming back. These never cease to inspire me to go out and shoot. The lighting the color and the shot compositions are all spot on. Not mention the sound design, you still have my favorite punchy keyboard typing sound fx.
I really like watching these and reminding myself that I have the exact same camera and lens setup so it takes away any gear excuse I conjure up in my mind to procrastinate shooting.

The textures are so good, my dude, love the use of close-up shots...makes me feel like I'm in your head in all these mundane actions. Can you share the source of the grain/texture you're adding? Danny, I've always been blown away by your color grading and I was wondering if you could shed some light on your monitor setup & how you validate color accuracy. Do you edit & color grade all on the iMac screen? Do you use a calibrated external reference monitor? I've seen many professionals use many different workflows, just trying to get a sense of what equipment might be complete overkill vs. what equipment would be perfectly good enough.
This is amazing. Tried to do something like this many times so its kinda inspiring but also kinda frustrating to know its definitely not gonna be this good... defenitely break down how you got that halation and grain to look so natural! Much love from Germany.
