I’m pretty sure every actor on the show is just counting the days until they’ve wrapped for Season 5. The majority of the fanbase turned on them after Season 2’s dumpster fire and with Cavill’s departure it seems like almost everyone has turned on them. It’s a shame really because they have very little control over the writing decisions. It should be Netflix catching all of the flack for butchering this series when they had gold in their hands.
Thank god the Witcher 4 game is on its way. Even though that is based on the real Ciri, CDPR know how to deal with those characters and their relationships properly.
It seems like she’s done with this show. Not sugarcoating the fact that Gerald is no longer a significant part of it. Maybe in 10 years we will get a nice Adaption

Super late reply here, but it’s actually from the books. There’s a whole book and a half where she’s off on her own with the rats and then again in Lady Of The Lake. So this season will be following the book, and I’m sure we will see them get together towards the end of the season or early season 5.
